《Reborn on a Systemless Earth... With a System》Chapter 210: The First Wedding

The first major wedding of the post-war era is here! A few months have passed, and the most epic of moments has arrived.

And I’m attending with no responsibilities beset on me whatsoever. For the first time in a long time, I am able to simply sit back and enjoy the ceremony without anything on my part to accomplish.

I fall asleep halfway through the wedding and nobody even bothers waking me up until I start snoring. This is wonderful.

The lucky new spouses? Who do you think it is?

Why, it’s Pablo Rosas and his new wife, The Goddess Rosas. Pablo hoists his half-robot bride into his arms and parades her around like a trophy. She loves being paraded around like a trophy.

“Woo-hoo!” she shouts as he spins her around wildly with his unimaginably impressive olive oil-based dietary powers.

He lets her down and they begin dancing in a wild frenzy. It’s infectiously exciting, and before long I find myself dancing with all my friends too.

Mestopholees, drunk off wine already, flies around in the air and crashes into a wall.

This is the life. A system-filled Earth that is going to remain as stable as possible for as long as possible. Peace. Fun with friends.

I’m unbelievably proud that something as dark as the war we went through could have resulted in a romance as powerful as that of Pablo and The Goddess. I just hope we can keep it like this for a very long time.

“Welp, that’s all fixed right up,” The Goddess says sometime later.

Julie folds her arms. “And...?”

“Well, I ain’t got my powers back. No surprise there, but I had to check.”

The Goddess returned to her Domain to fix things up and get the reincarnation system working again, and it happened relatively smoothly. No longer is the entire multiverse cluster threatening to tear itself apart. We are at least good for that.

But The Goddess isn’t able to retake her position as deity overseeing everything. She has no way of performing the overarching maintenance that will keep the multiverse from falling apart in the future. For all her mistakes, she sure did some important things, it seems.

She didn’t gain her powers back, so... What will we do?

“What will we do?” I ask.

She shrugs. “Guess we gotta wait for the next person to take over. It ain’t gonna be me, honey, so let’s find someone else. Y’all gonna volunteer? Both of y’all North Spinners are mighty powerful.”

Julie glares at her. “I have a family.”

“I’m not sure if I’m up to it,” I say. “I’m an [Adventurer], and I want to keep exploring all the worlds around me. Plus, I’m not sure if I’m smart enough to manage all these worlds...”

“Aw, don’t be so hard on yourself. I’m not that smart either, I’ll tell you what. But it all worked out peachy, didn’t it?”

Neither Julie nor I comment on that statement.

Is it going to be me, Eryk Solbourne, the first-ever S-Rank Hero of the Destiny Deck System? Will I become the new deity of this multiverse cluster and stay in that stuffy all-white Domain all day?

I’d really rather not, but...

“Mom! Eryk! Goddess!”

In comes little Esther, holding a shiny white cube of some sort. She has the boundless energy of a small child, but is also nearly as tall as her mother by now.

“Yes, what is it?” Julie asks.

“I have a present,” she says. “I think it will solve all your worries.”
