《Azure Chronicles》Chapter 121: Delving Into The Well of Fortune

Lola and the other kids raced for the closest double-door doorway as the cyan glow seeped out from inside the Japanese/English-styled hut and beckoned them to enter. Lola dashed ahead of the others, and as she was inches from the doorway, a thick branch of a dark platinum tree with many overlapping pieces stuck out in front of Lola, causing her to stop in her tracks. Lola stared at the glowing dark cyan cracks running through the branch.
Lola looked down at the branch and noticed the opened left-hand-shaped protrusion at the end of the branch. Lola gazed in the other direction and realised the branch appeared to be the arm of a tall dark tanned abyssal demon young adult male. (He has glistening slightly long spikey silver hair, glistening silver eyes, a left arm made of an overlapping dark platinum tree-like material with glowing dark cyan cracks running throughout all of it, and a long narrow tail with a trident-shaped tail tip; he's also wearing a sleeveless skin-tight shirt, dark grey trousers, darksteel boots, a right darksteel fibre right-handed glove, and a narrow cloak with a Moriochi Insignia (stylized Valt coin) which covers his left arm)
"Mind your step, Lola," the abyssal demon stated with a deep calming voice. Lola glanced at the ground and noticed the elevated floor of the hut. The abyssal demon lowered his arm, and the kids thanked him for the heads up as they each passed him. Luna glanced at the abyssal demon and then at his arm as she and the others walked through the doorway.
"Odd... my F.B.A doesn't see anything wrong with him, could've sworn his arm was like that from some sort of mutation of epidermodysplasia verruciformis which made it look like everwood," Luna said mentally. The abyssal demon glanced at Luna before at his everwood arm.
"Maybe I should work on making it smoother," the abyssal demon muttered.
"Husky~," Kusana said slightly playfully as she carried a sleeping Snow on her back. The abyssal demon defeatedly exhaled as he lowered his everwood arm.
"It's Husk," Husk stated calmly. Kusana stared blankly at Husk, showing no signs of needing to blink, not even a twitch of the eye.
"Husky!". Husk defeatedly sighed, and Kusana fist pumped before floating past Husk.

"Wow, you gave up real quickly; last time Zalroth was here, he told me you spent hours trying to get Kusana to say your name properly," Zalina said cheekily.
"I'd be insane to try and convince her again," Husk stated.
"Are you referring to the definition of insanity when you say insane, or because you'd have to be insane to test Kusana, given how she reacted last time you tried to correct her on your name?" Zalina asked.
"Does it matter?" Husk said defeatedly.
"No... I guess not; well, have a nice day," Zalina said playfully while Kunai happily raised her paw at Husk before Zalina walked into the hut.
Lola (while holding Yokuza's hand) and the others sprinted for the wide wooden-fenced-off well at the centre of the hut and peered into the well's light cyan water as its alluring light shone from deep within. Yokuza gazed into the light cyan spring and watched as castle-like marble bridges flowed below the surface of the spring.
"Didn't expect it to be a domain," Yokuza remarked. Lola tugged on Yokuza's hand, causing Yokuza to glance down at her.
"Domain...? But Papa said it was a magic dungeon," Lola said flusteredly.
"Well, you're both right; a domain is simply a magic dungeon which has existed for a long time and no longer needs its boss to reside within it," a cocky-sounding girl voice said from above. The group glanced up to see the large net-like hammock hanging above the spring and the short figure with large fuzzy mothion wings. The figure crawled across the hammock before she hopped off the hammock and landed near the group. The little girl was a light-tanned demi-mothion girl. (she has slightly long scruffy glittering golden hair with a rainbow-coloured outline/glow, four glittering golden eyes with a rainbow-coloured outline/glow, golden fur [over her lower half of body, forearm, hands and a ring around her chest that also wraps around her back], and her wings are made from the same material/colour as her fur; she's also wearing a slightly oversize dawnite thread beanie with golden accents)
Zalina squinted at the demi-mothion girl and crouched down a bit to meet her eye level.
"Lorida?" Zalina said confusedly. The demi-mothion girl tilted her head and raised an eyebrow at Zalina.

"Yeah?" Lorida asked with an equally confused tone as Zalina's tone.
"What's with... you know you being a kid?" Zalina asked while gesturing to Lorida's height.
"Oh... right, I found a cool artifact in Delver's Spring which de-aged me when I touched it, not that I'm complaining," Lorida said cheekily.
"Anyway, I would ask why you're here, but it's pretty obvious given there's not much to do around here," Lorida remarked. Lola rushed in front of Lorida while she dragged Yokuza behind her.
"So, can we all go in?" Lola excitedly asked. Lorida closed her eyes and put on a coy smile.
"Well, normally I'd have people go in as pairs, but given most of you are kids, it's a closed day, and your-" Lorida stated before she felt a strong gust of wind blast past her. Lorida opened her eyes and managed to catch Lola leaping over the well. Lola dived bombed into the light cyan spring while dragging Yokuza in with her.
"... I didn't even get to say the introduction for the storage forge- Delver's Springs," Lorida muttered mentally while she rubbed her face and sombrely frowned. Lorida patted her cheeks and moulded her frown into a smile.
"Before I can let you lot enter, unlike the daughter of the forgetful furball and the guy she dragged in with her, I am per my legally binding contract required to give any new visitors to Delver's Springs: The Well of Fortune; both its shortened history and the rules of this domain," Lorida stated while putting on a presenter's demeanour.
"Long ago, Delver's Springs was created by the masterful hands of an unrivalled craftsman centuries ago for the sole purpose of recreating the many magic dungeons they've conjured in the past and wanted to create a domain which could be endlessly conjured and replenish its rewards," Lorida said playfully and professionally as all the kids and Ruby looked excitedly at Lorida.
"Now for the rules: the first rule is you may only use the tokens acquired in the Delver's Springs to buy three items per person. The second rule, you can only take items out of the domain if you've paid for them. The final rule, intentionally attacking other visitors is strictly forbidden and breaking this or the first rule will result in the domain's two guardians appearing and will force you to pay the attacked party a certain amount of tokens," Lorida said while gesturing to the Moriochi Insignia on her beanie.
"And the tokens have these Moriochi Insignias on them so be careful about any tokens without these; and that concludes the mandatory explanation and rules, any questions?" Lorida said while fluttering her wings. Ruby raised her hand and wildly waved it around.
"Is it true you get different challenges based on which path you take?" Rudy asked.
"Oh-ho~ I see you're well informed; you're correct depending on which paths you take either you take will affect what challenge you'll face: off the top of my head I'm pretty sure the main three paths are fighting challenges, puzzle challenges, and parkour challenges but there are other besides these three," Lorida stated. Lorida flapped her wings and flung herself over her hammock; she landed on the side of it and sat on the edge of her hammock.
"So, whenever you're ready to enter just keep in mind you can only have parties of five people at max, and if you don't want to keep your items after you leave come talk to me, and I'll give you the items' worth in whatever currency you'd like," Lorida stated before she lent backwards and rolled into the centre of her hammock. Zalina yawned and palm-thrust her shoulder to click it back into place before she strolled towards the springs.
"Alright, you lot get into...," Zalina said but was cut off by Kunai patting her on the side of her head. Zalina glanced towards Kunai to see everyone already divided into groups of five: Charlotte, Elizabeth, Alex, Lulu, Wilmoth; Ruby, Sophia, Star, Jokel, Scarlett; Heather, Luna, Coco, Zariah, Mixo; while Kusana carrying the sleeping Snow on her back floated towards Zalina.
"Oh... good; alright, Kusana, let's catch up with Lola before she puts Yokuza in danger or something.". Kusana nodded before she landed on Zalina's tails. Zalina bent her knees and backflipped into the spring, leaving the kids outside the spring dazzled.

Lost In Translation
If you're one to travel the roads, you may have heard of me. You may have heard my Names in the stories, the songs, and the whispers of the road. Perhaps you've even seen me during my travels, speaking to a bird of blue light, or on a city street, performing small acts for coin and repute. Or perhaps you may know me as the Skystrider, who walked with the wind. Or the Voiceless, a man of song without speech. You may know me as the Tutor, who taught the Lion of Summer how to fight, or the Traveler, who has walked all the roads of the earth. I am all of these things. And people have branded me a myth. But people don't understand what a myth is. They haven't heard the songs lost to our tongues, nor have they seen the things I've seen. They haven't gone to the places I've gone. My feet have walked the plains, the seas, and the clouds. I have spoken languages unspoken; tongues lost to time. I have sung to the earth, held the moon in my arms, and walked the roads that your heroes hesitate to even mention. I have outwitted Demons. I have danced with the Fae. My songs have been heard by lords of wind and ash, and my steps have echoed in the bellies of gargantuan beasts the likes of which you have never seen. These are what real myths are. And me? I'm no legend. I'm just the bard stupid enough to poke the real ones with a stick. Discord link here.
