Worshipper Arc. Chapter 41: All hail the King.
Valoran and Demonlise take a look at the army and the Hyodi warriors who fought bravely against the Worshippers.
“I want to thank all of you, you have shown great bravery today. You honour me with your courage.” Valoran speaks sincerely.
His Troops and the Hyodi Warriors bow to him.
“ALL HAIL THE KING!” The Troops and Hyodi Worshippers speak with pride.
Valoran is proud to have such a great army who are loyal to him.
“My lord.” Demonlise speaks.
Valoran turns his head to face Demonlise.
“What should we do about the remaining Worshippers?” Demonlise question.
“A fair question Demonlise.” Valoran replies.
Valoran and Demonlise walk up to the leader of the Worshippers, Aegnor Aldon who is still alive.
Worshippers move out the way to give way to Valoran and Demonlise as they approach him.
“What will you do to us?” Aegnor questions.
“Your actions have cost the lives of many innocent people. You do know I cannot leave your actions unpunished.” Valoran explains.
“Please, punish only me. Most Worshippers here have been forced to join my ranks either directly by me or because they have been born into becoming a Worshipper by their parents.” Aegnor explains.
“Hmm” Valoran thinks carefully about that proposal.
“You can’t be serious. All of you should be punished!” Demonlise states with frustration.
Valoran takes a look at the Worshippers.
He sees young and scared faces of: Humans, Demi-Humans, Elves and Demons.
“I will think about it. For now all of you will be in custody.” Valoran explains.
Valoran casts taslan (creation magic) and creates hundreds of anti magic handcuffs, handcuffing all the Worshippers.
“Soldiers escort these prisoners to the castle to be detained in the underground prisons.” Valoran instructs.
The soldiers take the handcuffed Worshippers by the arms.
Valoran opens up dozens of portals leading to the castle's underground prisons.
The soldiers place the prisoners in prison cells and return to Valoran through the same portals they have come through.
“All the Worshippers are imprisoned my lord.” A Soldier informs Valoran, bowing his head.
“Good work.” Valoran replies.
Valoran addresses his army and the Hyodi Warriors.

“Let’s head for the capitol!” Valoran orders.
Valoran casts irum (teleportation magic).
At an instant Valoran’s entire army and the Hyodi Warriors are at the capitol with the magic barrier protecting the capitol already lifted.
The citizens are relieved to see Valoran and everyone else coming back which means that Valoran did defeat the King of Gods.
“Our King has returned!”
“All hail the King!”
“Magic King Valoran!”
“Finally the tyranny of the Gods is over!” The citizens are shouting in joy.
Valoran is glad to see the citizens being safe.
Valoran notices Biatrix, Selina, Merial and Atticus and they have managed to defend the citizens from Worshippers, who are laying on the ground unconscious.
“Valoran!” Merial is excited to see Valoran and runs toward him.
“You are back!” Selina is just as excited.
“We are so glad you are back!” Atticus expresses with relief.
“Took you long enough.” Biatrix expresses sarcasm.
“Well, the King of Gods was a handful.” Valoran counters.
“Hopefully now peace can prosper.” Selina hopes.
“The King of magic is back it seems.” Merial comes from behind.
Valoran turns around.
“No need for formalities Merial, call me Valoran.” Valoran grins.
“My apologies.” Merial smiles.
“Hey Demonlise, did you make Valoran do all the work?” Biatrix asks mockingly.
Demonlise eyes open wide and face Biatrix.
“I most certainly did not. Thank you very much!” Demonlise replies.
Atticus, Selina and Merial begin to laugh.
Valoran also smiles just a little.
“Demonlise, fought well today. Without him I would have not been able to win against Daimos.” Valoran states.
Demonlise upon hearing Valoran say that is filled with pride.
“If you hadn’t engaged the Angels serving Daimos I couldn’t have focused on Daimos and would have lost.” Valoran further states.
“It wasn’t all my doing. Artemsia helped a great deal.” Demonlise replies.
“Speaking of which, where is she?” Merial questions with confusion.
“She had returned to the divine realm.” Valoran explains with a saddened voice.
Atticus, Merial, Biatrix and Selina are upset and their faces do not hide it.
“But why…?” Selina questions with an upset tone.
“She along with the new ruler of the Gods Aldia, are leading the Gods to a path worthy of being called divine.” Demonlise steps in.

Atticus, Merial, Biatrix and Selina are saddened hearing that Artemsia, who has been a close friend of theirs is gone and will most likely never see her again.
“I believe she will lead the Gods to greatness again.” Biatrix expresses with a smile.
“I couldn’t agree more.” Atticus also states with a bright smile.
“But why didn’t she say goodbye?” Merial asks, upset.
“I also don’t know why.” Selina adds on.
“It’s because it was too hard for her, letting go of the wonderful life you all have given her, but she appreciates you all and wishes you all the best.” Valoran explains also with a slightly saddened tone.
“I wish her all the luck” Biatrix says.
“Knowing her…she won’t need it.” Demonlise explains.
“Look at you Demonlise, never knew you had this soft side in you.” Merial says with sarcasm.
“You never miss an opportunity to take a swing at me, Merial.” Demonlise replies.
“Sorry to cut in but we just wanted to say that it is good to see you.” Aleister cuts in.
“It’s great to see you all.” Valoran makes his way over to Aleister.
“You finally made it Valoran.” Cera says with amazement.
“Hello Cera, Sage, Egor, and Alisia.” Valoran greets the adventuring party who he and Tiara had their adventuring exam with.
Valoran also addresses the other adventurers who have helped in defeating the Worshippers in the capitol.
“I want to thank you all brave adventurers. Without you all the citizens would have been in danger. You honour me with your courage.”
The adventurers are honoured by Valoran praising them.
“We are proud to help you, King of Magic.”
“We thank you King of Magic.”
“We should be thanking you for saving us.” The adventurers reply with pride.
“Now that the threat has been defeated you can all return to your homes. I have restored all the homes with magic that have been damaged during the battle” Valoran clarifies.
The citizens cheer in joy filled with happiness and relief now that the Gods threat and the tyranny they have caused for millennia has finally been defeated.
The citizens who live outside the capital leave for their homes.
The adventurers also leave one at the time.
The Hyodi warriors say their goodbyes and leave for the forest.
Demonlise also leaves Valoran’s side to head home as well.
“With your permission I will also head home.” Demonlise informs.
“Of course. Permission granted.” Valoran replies.
Demonlise casts irum (teleportation magic). At an instant Demonlise vanishes.
At the end Valoran makes his way to Polio’s house to check on his mother.
“Valoran!” Aelina runs out the door to hug him.
Polios, Iris and Reelia also run outside to hug him.
“We are glad you are safe.” Polios says with relief.
“Father is right, we are glad that you are safe.” Iris says with a tear of joy.
“We hope you will stay here for a while. We made dinner.” Reelia also says with a tear of joy.
“Sounds great.” Valoran replies and all of them enter the home of Polios to enjoy a delicious feast.
The next day.
Valoran sits on his throne with Demonlise standing beside him, they are both alone the soldiers have been told by Valoran to take a day off due to their bravery.
Valoran has a worried look on his face despite the threat of the Gods being defeated.
Demonlise picks up on this.
“My lord, the thread is over. You have restored the piece by defeating Daimos…yet I can see that you are uneasy.”
Valoran faces Demonlise.
“It’s something Daimos said right at the end with his last breath that bothers me.” Valoran replies anxiously.
Demonlise is slightly stunned that Valoran is this anxious.
“What did he say to you?” Demonlise questions with worry.
“He said that people much more powerful than him would oppose me. Now that the Magic King has returned they will come after me and the magic realms I rule.” Valoran explains.
Demonlise remains silent.
“Demonlise, this is not over not by a long shot. The War has merely begun.” Valoran states.
“What war?” Demonlise questions.
“...The Magic Kings War.” Valoran replies.

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.
