《Judah Judas Adventures》Chapter 159 - Lu- The Trickster - Part 2

A few moments later, the bird comes back, and it lands on my hand as I was raising it. When the bird falls on my hand, everyone stopped from making their horses move, and we formed a small group to hear what the Vulture has to say to me. The bird, as he falls on my arm, he told us.
"There are a few cannibals on the nearby village, about a few hundreds of feet from here. They are killing people and skinning them alive. I noticed only seven cannibals so far. Maybe there are more, but inside houses."
"No soldier in that area?" asks Fiona at the bird, who only shook the head in disapproval. "Guys! We have to help them!"
"I am with you." responds Lu.
"You did a good job. You can go back now." I say to Vulture.
"Thank you, Master!"
The bird goes back into my wand and as he does that, Lu, Fiona and I are running our horses to the nearby village the bird mentioned to us. While we are travelling the horses to the nearby village, Fiona prepares her sword, she only put her left hand on the handle of the sword.
We got to that village in a few seconds, and there we saw something horrible, that awakens memories from the time I and Fiona protected an entire village from cannibals. Houses on fire, corpses of humans and semi-humans on the streets. Blood everywhere and anywhere near or far from corpses. We looked at one of the cannibals who are eating from a man, and I quickly took my wand and aimed at that cannibal. I said the spell "Fireball" and launched from my spell a fireball which hit the cannibal and burns him alive for a few seconds. We looked at the cannibal screeching, running and rolling on the ground to make the fire stop, but it didn't stop as he was drawing his last breath which was after a few seconds of agony for him.

"These people are sick." says Fiona, and she looks at me. "Good aim, Judah!"
"Thanks." I respond to Fiona. "We should split to cover more area?"
"Yes." says Fiona looking at me and Lu. "You," she points at Lu, and she looks at me. "And you. Are taking the entrances and exits, while I am checking every single street to be sure there are no cannibals here. Got it?"
"Got it!" Lu and I respond almost at the same time.
We proceed to split up and run on our horses to the areas we got designed by Fiona.
Lu and I are running on our horses to the other entrance or exit of this village, as we were driving there, we encountered three cannibals coming at us. Lu jumps from the horse, he grabs his stick, which it is transforming into a sword and proceed to cut the enemies who were jumping at him, with their mouths opened. Lu cut the first cannibal head, then he stabs the second one heart, and in final, when the third cannibal was about to bite his head, I aimed my wand and launched the spell that launches a rock. The rock filled with a such a high speed, the cannibal did not see the rock hitting his forehead, killing him instantly. The cannibal falls on his back, while a blood is coming out from the rock who is still stuck into the head of the cannibal.
"Good shot!" says Lu toward me as he takes his sword from the second cannibal.
"I just did my job." I say to Lu.
We both hear screaming from our lefts. We see the other two cannibals coming at us, but before I could launch another spell, Lu transforms his weapon into a spear, and he runs straight at the cannibals. He stabs the head of a cannibal, the swing the spear hard enough to use the body of that cannibal who is dying to hit the other cannibal. Then, he takes the spear from the dying cannibal, and he throws it to the second one, on his chest. That cannibal is pushing the spear into his body, as he maniacally laughs. He looks at Lu, who is feeling terrified, and as he was about to another step, I took the wand and threw another rock spell at him, hitting the neck of the cannibal and putting him on the ground for good,

Lu goes at the cannibal, he takes the spear from the body, he turns the cannibal with the face at him. the cannibal murmured something intelligible, but Lu did not care, he transforms his spear into a sword, and he cuts the neck of that cannibal, things that made me feel bad for other kinds of people, but these kinds, are much worse than the ones I have seen on the battlefields at my first war. Lu and with me are leaving the scene and search for the next waves of cannibals.
After a few moments of searching, we have taken six cannibals down, mostly Lu did it with his super weapon that can turn from sword, spear, stick, double axe and bat, while I was healing him from wounds and shoot immobilizing spells due to keeping my mana on the same level.
As I, Lu and Fiona reunite with our horses, we talked about the things we have done. She is proud of me and Lu actions, and before we were about to leave, few people, who were still alive, came to us, and they thanked us for avenging their fallen families, friends, lovers and killing these beasts. We didn't stay longer enough to even get food or money because we have to run forward and without a stop to the zone where the other knights are waiting for us.
"We have to be fast!" says Fiona who started to make her horse runs faster.
Later, Lu and I are going on the same speed as Fiona to the zone we got called to fight. We have to advance quickly because they might be already in trouble and these cannibals are most likely going to be in a bigger pack than we have expected at first.

Much like his father before him, the new master of House Doom is a prodigy of war, yet the venerable minions of his household still hold strange loyalties toward his missing ancestor, silently comparing the legendary rage of his father to the more pragmatic approach of the son. Adding to Basil’s frustrations is the lack of accomplishment he feels for his work, with the dungeon keeper often taking on handicaps just to give his enemies a fighting chance. With all the power and wealth one could ever dream of already within his grasp, Basil now finds that the achievements of others kindle more joy in his heart than his own crushing victories. Thus Basil has taken up mentoring the next generation of dungeon keepers to try and diagnose the cause for his own lack of passion. With his apprentice, Elnora, managing most of the daily work around the dungeon, Basil can finally turn his attention towards his personal concerns, such as tackling the shadow of his legendary father that still looms large over him.
