《Rubik’s Man: I’m Rich & You’re Dead》Chapter 37 - Enslavement Rubik’s Cube

“Kyah! He’s a monster!” This fool fell flat on his ass when he saw me cut off his buddy’s head and juggled it with my foot before I kicked it to the upper floor like a soccer ball. It splattered against the rails as would a melon when bashed intensely.
The more men I cut down, the more blood I see spewing all over the place. I couldn’t afford to let it all go to waste, so I relied on a special skill to do a clean-up. By placing both hands in the pool of blood below me, I completed the requirement to utilize the ability.
A crimson serpent manifested out of the blood pool that went around slithering into the corpses of the deceased to steal their Rubik’s Blood Cube which became parts of its body like armour.
The Blood Viper grew in size with every Blood Cube it devoured. After a minute or so of slithering across the bloody floor, it reached its accumulated quota.
The garnered Blood Cubes were being used to supply my Blood Bank whenever it was depleted; also I needed the extra fuel to kick start a dreadful technique that I acquired during my raid of the Red Ants Gang.
After cutting up a few more people, I called forth my Devil’s Cigar and ignited it. As the fat juicy tip continue to burn, the cavity in my chest widened. Crimson vapour started pouring forth.
“What the hell is it now!?” The men saw the red fumes spreading and became very cautious. Its spread rate was very slow so they were able to avoid it at first. But when I started inhaling more of the Devil’s Cigar’s fumes in my lungs, the tainted vapours became more rampant and unavoidable.
“Huh, ah! It got me!”
“Kyah! It got me too. I’m burning up inside!”
“Oh God make it stop!”
For the persons who came into contact with my Devil’s Cancer thus far, their bodies were experiencing various detestable changes. Noticeable sores popped up all over their bodies, some were scratching fiercely at their necks, they were bleeding from their apertures, moreover, their skins and flesh were melting from their bones. When the others witnessed this diabolical spectacle, they became very hysteric.
“We’re not dealing with a human being. That thing is a fucking demon from hell!” They became so overloaded with trepidation that the majority of them began scattering to the exit. However, they couldn’t get out because Razi had shut the mansion down completely.
They banged on the door while shouting, “Let us out! Let us out!” Their cry for help was quickly drowned by the lamentation of death permeating the mansion.

Razi was now regretting confining her daddy’s henchmen inside. The majority of them ran up the stairs where she was hiding and turned on her. They tried getting her to open the steel bars that blocked the doors and the windows, but in so doing, they accidentally broke the device. I overheard their bickering from where I was.
“You damn idiot! How could you drop it?”
“It wasn’t my fault. You tugged it from my hand.”
“Are you blaming me for your stupidity?”
“No, but…”
“Just shut the hell up!” Razi was throwing a tantrum.
“Tsk, these punks are dying so easily.” I didn’t let the poisonous fumes do all the work. Although my enemies were dropping like flies, I still dashed around here and there cutting who I could. Eventually, it got to a point where no more live bodies were at the base of the mansion. Only a pool of festering flesh and maggots.
I noticed Razi staring down at me with about a dozen men behind her. She resembled a pale phantom inching towards the abyss. “So much blood. I can’t believe that man killed them all.”
Hearing what she said, I glanced up at her and affirmed, “You better believe it, darling. I’m coming up there to deal with you next.”
“No! Stay away from me!” Razi reached for the device in a hurry and was madly tapping its broken interface. By some miracle, she got it to work again. The steel frames surrounding the windows were lifted. That was the first place she and the remaining henchmen went for.
“Trying to escape. I don’t think so.”
I arrived up there just as Razi was in the middle of climbing through the window.
“Get out of here, Razi! We’ll hold him off for as long as we can!” The dozen or so men tried to buy her time by dousing me with bullets from their guns.
Whoosh!
I simply slipped passed them in a blur. I didn’t have to do anything excessive because my Devil’s Cancer took care of the rest. They were vaporized into blood essence almost instantly. Just after this occurred, the Devil’s Cigar I had grasped between my lips burnt out, resulting in the deactivation of the skill.
‘Inhale… exhale…’
The last bit of fumes were released from my nostrils. A brief feeling of ecstasy overcame me which forced me to smile. “That was exhilarating. I’ve killed plenty before but this was something else. The lust for violence is more satisfying than getting my junk wet. You know what I mean?” I grabbed Razi’s leg and pulled her in from climbing out the window.

“Stay away from me, you psycho!” She offered some physical and verbal resistance, but it was nothing any ordinary man couldn’t handle.
“Behave yourself, wench.” I spanked her ass into submission which bruised one of her cheeks.
“You bastard! You are going to pay for harassing me!” She shouted.
“Shut it! The only reason you’re still alive is because I need you for something.” I looked her deep in the eyes and threatened, “If you want to live long enough to get vengeance, I suggest you stay quiet and be still.”
Reluctantly, she complied with my request. I took a step back and scanned her with my Value Meter. I was appalled by what I discovered. “What the fuck is this!?”
“Eeek! Why are you shouting at me?” Razi got scared by my voice which made her cower on the ground with her head tucked between her legs.
“Get up here!” I grabbed her by the neck and pulled her up again. Voicing my heated displeasure I asked her, “Why the hell is your Wealth Chart so diminished? You don’t even have enough Crowns in your name to buy yourself a goddamn panty. How do you afford to live so lavishly when you have nothing?”
“What?” Razi looked surprised when she heard my question. “How did you know that I am poor?”
“It doesn’t matter how I know. What matters is how are you poor when this humungous estate belonged to your dead father. Shouldn’t you have his inheritance?”
“That ah… the thing is…” This brat was breaking up her words so much that I had to rush her to spit it out. “It’s all my uncle’s fault! He’s trying to take over my father’s estate along with many other businesses that he was operating. That bastard used his connection to freeze all my finances. He plans to steal everything that I’m supposed to inherit by right and give it to his brainless son, my stinking cousin! I was going to use the extra muscle I have here to intimidate him, but you’ve killed them all. Thanks a lot for that you asshole!”
I could tell that she was speaking the truth. She spoke about her uncle and cousin with vitriol. Her hate for them was legit. I was an expert in this field of emotion.
“This changes everything. I came here to kill you and claim your Wealth Chart but now that you have no value in my eyes, what’s the point of me wasting more time with you? I should dispose of you right now.”
“No! Wait! If you’re after my father’s wealth then you are going to need my help.” This woman came up with a solution to extend her youthful life. “My uncle isn’t the only family member who wants a piece of the pie. There is a high-end beneficiary meeting soon to take place. It is sort of like a contest. Whoever wins it will earn legitimate rights to the deed of my father’s estate along with various capitals.”
“Hmm?” What she said intrigued me. “When is this event and where will it be held?”
Razi saw that I was interested in what she had to say and became more relaxed. Her cunning little mouth convinced me to spare her life. “The meeting is going to be conducted 3 days from now by the owner of Clown City’s major financial corporation known as Prime Head. It is going down at one of their branches. Do you know it?”
“I have heard of it.” Prime Head was a legal corporation that had ties with the criminal underworld of Clown City. All the major players banked their illicit funds there because they had decentralized authority and their management could not be easily influenced by government officials. Hence it was the ideal place to safeguard your profits from their overbearing reach.
I couldn’t simply occupy Big Red’s estate like some squatter. Legal documentation had to be in my corner for my future takeover of Clown City. Which meant that I had to get my hands on that deed. In this respect, Razi was still of use to me.
‘After I helped her acquire the deed, I’ll kill her and take it all.’ This was my plan.
Giving my focus back to Razi, I told her, “Congratulations, you’ve earned your survival for the time being.”
“So you’re not going to kill me?” Although her expression was less frightful, she was still apprehensive.
“I won’t kill you. Since we have 3 days left before that event, we should get to know each other.” I braced her back against the wall, reached for her blouse and ripped it open.
“What are you doing? Please don’t do this. I agreed to help you already. There’s no need to take advantage of my maidenhead.” Razi was terrified that I was going to pluck her sacred fruit.
“I’m no rapist. Now shut the hell up and show me them titties.”
“No!” She kept her hands over her bosom, so I had to pry them apart. Now that her bare chest was in full view, I browsed through my inventory until I locate that special item.

Candor: The Forgotten House
*** Please read note below *** As a 16-year-old mage from a powerful family, Jayce Candor had known from a young age what his future would hold. As the fourth son in his family the possibility of him becoming the heir to the household was very small. But, with his talent as a mage, his potential accomplishments in the military could lead to titles of nobility and political power. However, on what would otherwise be an unremarkable night, everything he had ever known, the only people he ever cared for, and all of the plans for his future were destroyed. House Candor, one of the six great houses that helped build the Eldoran Empire had been erased from history. By imperial decree, all those bearing the name Candor were hunted down and executed as traitors of the Empire. With no home, no family, and only death waiting for him, Jayce decided to escape north to the uncharted Northern Territories to begin a new life. Forced into situations he was never prepared for and trying to cope with his past, Jayce tries to find safety in a place spoken about only in legends. There for the first time, he will make true friends and find people he will come to see as family. He will encounter strong enemies, build powerful alliances, and become a person his ancestors would be proud of. But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here
