《Azure Chronicles》Chapter 111: The Ultimate Weapon's Second Downfall Part 4

Multiple eruptions of light exploded from the depths of the Ancient Colossal's head as the sound of explosions emanated from the lights. Destiny (with the Zalutaro Shadow Double back around her neck and looking like a scarf) slowly lowered the rainbow magic bubble to Minia's nimbus cloud, and it popped before Destiny, Kusana, and Kara plopped onto the nimbus cloud.
Kusana levitated off the nimbus cloud and floated over to Chronia, as she was down on her knees and had her head held low. Chronia balled up her fists, squeezing some of Minia's nimbus cloud between her fingers, and gritted her teeth together.
"Grandmother... of Kusana, are you alright?" Kusana asked, causing Chronia to raise her head while a blazing inferno raged in her eyes.
"F-f-f-fff- screw you you stupid hunk of junk, how dare you," Chronia grumbled. Chronia curled up her lips and puffed up her cheeks as her face turned a faint shade of red; she buried her hand in her hair and frantically ruffled up her hair as she let out a frustrated groan.
"I was so close to getting Zalroth to kiss me," Chronia said, as her words slowly morphed into incoherent sulking. Kara held the Chronicle Codex tightly in her slim arms as she occasionally flapped her wings to keep herself suspended in the air.
"One believes if Chronia simply makes Zalroth's favourite food, you'd have better results," Kara said, causing Chronia to smirk.
"Please, if I wanted to take the easy way I'd have given him this," Chronia remarked before she pulled a long bread sandwich filled with one slice of meat from every kind of animal, red lettuce, various coloured sliced tomatoes, red sliced onions, and fried onion rings from her pale lime and teal magic Storage Pocket bubble.
Lola perked her tails and ears up as she laid eyes upon the sandwich, and she couldn't help salivating at it as she slowly etched closer to Chronia. Lola led on Chronia's feet and wrapped her tails around Chronia's feet before pleadingly whining as she stared up at Chronia with her most radiant puppy-dog eyes.
"Lola n-,". Chronia only managed to last a split second against Lola's puppy dog eyes and pitiful whines before she handed Lola the sandwich. Lola cheered and held the sandwich high over her head in victory before she stared at the sandwich for a few seconds. Lola quickly hurried over to the other kids and sliced the sandwich into five pieces. Lola, Kusana, Destiny, Kara, and Xelphia excitedly raised the sandwiches and tapped them against each other in a toast before they began to eat.

"At least she decided to share it," Chronia thought to herself before an all-encompassing torrent of cyan mana erupted up from deep below and rushed past the group, causing Minia's nimbus cloud to jostled a bit from the turbulence until Chronia create a dome-shaped elementalless(transparent) magic shield around the group.
"What was that?" Destiny asked with her mouth full.
"I would say that's our cue to leave, but I believe Chronia would object to it," the Shadow Double Scarf Zalkutaro said.
"What makes you think Lady Chronia would stop us from leaving?" Xelphia asked as she handed all the non-bird meat slices of her sandwich share to Minia.
"Look at her face," Minia muttered as she placed a stack of meat slices in her mouth. The kids glanced over at Chronia and saw the giddy grin on her face as she excitedly giggled in a seemingly daydreaming state.
"Chronia," SDS Zalkutaro said. Chronia remained in her daydreaming state for a few seconds before she eventually snapped out of it.
"H-huh? Yeah, we should definitely get out of here, especially given the majority of the timelines my future vision showed Zalroth's method of leaving the Ne-Lon Colossal," Chronia said as she fully returned to reality.
"Understood," SDS Zalkutaro uttered before Zalkutaro's dawnite harp in Kusana's hand strummed a speedy chorus and the group teleported away, as the cyan mana's flow began to shift direction and flood back down into the depths of the Ancient Colossal's head.
The mana surged down the remnants of the Ancient Tower’s original form, dragging the remnant metal debris, and grinding against the debris with such ferocious speed some of the metal debris shone and melted away. The Ne-Lon Administrator ducked and weaved around the metal chunks before intentionally letting the molten metal sludge splat into it and wrap around its body. Steam jetted out of the molten sludge as it morphed into the shape of extra armour and solidified. A drowned-out chuckle nearby caught the attention of the Ne-Lon Administrator, and it turned towards the centre of the spiralling mana as it dissolved into Zalroth.
Zalroth stood on his floating, crumbling magic barrier and glared at the Ne-Lon Administrator as the glowing cyan parts of his hair flickered between a pale cyan hair and the Sage States' glowing cyan. Zalroth watched traces of non-cyan mana (shiny silver, super pale cyan, and Blue and Yellow) within the torrent of cyan mana and raised a hand to the mana traces before it snuggled around his charred arm and seeped into it. Zalroth raised his arm into the air and closed his eyes as the last of the torrenting cyan mana seeped into his body. Zalroth flexed his arm, and a pink flash of light burst out from it, revealing his completely healed arm although without the magic sun tattoo.

Zalroth smirked while tensing his fingers before doing multiple single-handed shadow puppet hand positions to test the flexibility of his fingers. Zalroth lowered his arm and raised his head as he took a deep breath, and his hair gradually shifted to a non-glowing pale cyan state with a zig-zaggy silver line dividing his cyan hair tips. Zalroth held his breath and drummed his fingers against the palm of his hand.
The Ne-Lon Administrator received a physical pop-up screen of golden energy depicting a chibi version of it being zapped by lightning projectiles of green digital numbers. The Ne-Lon Administrator darted its core eye around, but its scanners only detected Zalroth. Zalroth let out a heavy exhale, regaining the Ne-Lon Administrator's attention, and opened his eye before he glared down at the Ne-Lon Administrator with his glowing pale cyan eyes as his pupils were unnaturally narrow, to the point they were almost non-existent. Zalroth floated off the magic barrier as it fully crumbled away, and he raised his hand before gesturing to the Ne-Lon Administrator to come at him.
The Ne-Lon Administrator threw its head forward, and a metal plating covered the front exposed part of its power core before it moulded its golden energy into an extra protective layer of protection. The Ne-Lon Administrator fired up its jetpack-like wings before it rocketed at Zalroth. The Ne-Lon Administrator pulled back its fist, concentrating more golden energy over its fist, and hurled its fist at Zalroth with a blinding golden flash of light.
The light splintered out from the Ne-Lon Administrator’s fist before the light was blasted away by a wave of a darker golden version of energy like the type used by the Ne-Lon Administrator. Zalroth held the Ne-Lon Administrator’s fist in his palm and lightly dented the Ne-Lon Administrator’s fist as he increased his grip. The Ne-Lon Administrator scanned Zalroth’s fist, and its energy shifted to a faint green for a split second before it fired a golden energy beam through the wrist of its trapped arm to free itself from Zalroth. The Ne-Lon flew backwards away from Zalroth and had its severed hand slam into its face before the hand plummeted into the darkness below.
The Ne-Lon Administrator regrew a new hand while scanning Zalroth’s hand to see the outline of an invisible gauntlet, which was identical to the one he previously had on his cut-off hand. Zalroth's stoic expression cracked, and a small smirk formed on his face as he looked at his hand, and the gauntlet revealed itself.
“To think my three daughters would’ve been able to replicate such a complicated spell after only seeing it once, I really don't give them enough credit,” Zalroth remarked as he sighed contently before he lowered his fist.
“What’s that supposed to mean!” Nola shouted from the small portal in the air before it disappeared, causing Zalroth to grin. Zalroth pulled his arm back and tensed up his arm as he balled up his fist.
"Don't blink~.". Zalroth's body flickered before completely disappearing, and a surge of wind exploded through the air. The Ne-Lon Administrator's helmet visor's alerts went off, showing a chibi version of Zalroth rapidly approaching a chibi version of the Ne-Lon Administrator from behind.
The Ne-Lon Administrator spun on its heel in mid-air and hurled a punch. A blitzing Zalroth hurtled his fist through the air before the duo's fists collided, unleashing a thunderous shockwave which vaporized the floating metal debris. The duo pushed their fists against each other as Zalroth smugly grinned before he abruptly pulled his fist away and, as the Ne-Lon Administrator fell forwards Zalroth spun around and slammed his foot into the Ne-Lon Administrator's head.
Zalroth activated a strong Lightning Amp before he bent his knee and single foot drop kicked the Ne-Lon Administrator straight upwards; the Ne-Lon Administrator slammed into the roof of the Ancient Colossal's head and an explosive, deafening metalic bang reverberated through the confines of the Ancient Colossal's head. The Ne-Lon Administrator pulled its head out from the wall, but as it tried to pull the rest of its body free, it got a pop-up with a warning symbol next to a temperature symbol.
The display distorted as the displayed temperature rapidly rose before completely the whole display glitched out and melted away as the Ne-Lon Administrator's body slowly melted as the air whistled from the rising ambient temperature. The Ne-Lon's Administrator darted its vision down at the blinding purple light and saw the ever-increasing plasma mana sphere over Zalroth's raised hand.
"Can't handle the heat you, heh, hunk of junk?". Zalroth winked before he clenched his fist, causing the oozing light of the massive plasma sphere to explode and completely obscuring the area in a deafening purple flash.

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?
