Chapter 6. Forum
1888 Kalgoorlie Goldfields, Australia
"Fuck you George." Innis said, "I thought I was done with all this shit."
He wiped the blood off his knife on the dying mans' shirt.
"Doesn't seem that you are." Eurides said.
George lay sprawled face down in a growing pool of blood
that spilled from where Innis had stabbed him.
"I gave him, and that idiot oversized brother of his a job,
and this is how they repay me."
"The fault lies not in the stars dear Brutus." Eurides said.
"Point taken." Innis replied." but then I never thought it did."
He picked up the gun George had dropped and walked back
toward the mine office.
Standing outside office, Innis could hear two men laughing
and through the window he could see them both drinking
at a table. Georges’ brother Arvi was the larger of the pair.
Innis opened the door and shot him in the face. The bottle
the big man was drinking from, exploded into glass shards.
The second man - who Innis didn't know - fell backwards
in his chair in fright.
Innis stood over him with his gun in hand and looked
around the room. "What is your name?"
"Jonas. My name is Jonas."
"Well Jonas," Innis said, "this is your one and only chance,
who hired you?"
Jonas balked.
Arvi was still sitting upright in his chair, he groaned and
fell forward onto the table. Innis placed the gun against the big
mans temple and pulled the trigger. Blood and brain flecked
across Jonas’s face.
"It was Mr. Fields, your partner." he spluttered.
"He paid us half up front and said he’d pay the rest when
the job was done."
"When the job was done." Innis repeated slowly.

"Is that your bag by the door Jonas?"
"Wait!" Jonas said in fright, holding a hand in front of his face.
"What for? " Innis said and shot him in the chest.
"What for indeed." Eurides said.
Innis finished a drink on the table. "Tomorrow, my business
partner Mr. Maurice Fields, will be joining his hired help at the
bottom of the mineshaft - where an unfortunate mishap with
explosives is going to bring the roof down on all of them."
"What about you?" Eurides asked.
"Me?" Innis thought for a moment.
"After the dust settles, I'm going to sell up. There's always
plenty of buyers for a successful mine - even a collapsed one."
"That’s not what I meant." Eurides said.
She wet a cloth with whiskey from an upturned bottle
and gently wiped blood from his face.
"You're still floating along wherever the current takes you.
If you really have had of enough of all of this. Find a home and
put down some roots."
"Home." Innis said the word aloud.
He'd almost forgotten what it meant.

Dream of the Abyss
Elisa Mary Grant died in a hospital bed after being stuck in it for six months, and like any other, her soul drifted away from her husk when she passed. For her, death was a release. It merely meant that she no longer have to wake up in pain, breathing through tubes and have doctors flood her veins with dubious chemicals for “experimental treatment”. Free from her mortal constraints and useless body, she felt… at peace, serene, even. Death is bliss, after all, when objectively living sucked to the point of extreme. Therefore, there was no reason to mourn at all and she knew she definitely didn't. ... That was until, on her way for a proper reincarnation, she found herself rudely interrupted and left stranded in the great NoWhere. “Wonderful,” she remarked as she floated in the [Beyond], “Just when I thought that suicide is the answer.” Author's note: Updates every Tuesday-Wednesday, probably some time in between. ... P.S Notes: Contains existential questions and nihilistic themes, rather philosophical. Will be rather sluggish until the MC gets her shit together. P.SS Notes: Story takes time to develop. And maybe uncomfortable. It's not gonna be action-packed or filled with battles, I think. Anyway, it is kinda unusual. P. SSS Notes: It is not LitRpg. Don't be fooled.

Her father changed everything, becoming rotten and abusive to the point it caused her to stop speaking entirely. Eleven years later and she still lives by his rules, trapped under his thumb. She has nowhere to go; no life outside the awful one she's forced into at home, and any time she tries to speak, her voice fails her. Without much hope left, she suffers in silence. Until moving to a new town changes everything. Arriving at her new school, Eirenae immediately catches the attention of six students. They're the nicest anyone has ever been to her, but everything about them strikes her funny: they're naturally perfect, have insane athletic reflexes, and they keep using strange words like "Alpha", "Luna", and "pack". On top of it all, their eyes horrifyingly seem to change color and no matter how much she runs or gives hints she should be left alone, they won't stop being overly friendly. No one seems to be willing to explain anything to her, so maybe it's time to bring her life back into her own hands, discover what has been hiding from her past, and let herself be rescued. . . and maybe not particularly in that order!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~-Book 1 of War of the Wolves-Precedes "Fatal War"-Started: August, 2018- Completed: May 1st, 2019-#1 in Abuse: 9/21/2019-#1 in Mate 10/5/2019-#1 in luna 10/16/2019-#3 in Werewolf 12/26/2019-#1 in Whitewolf 1/28/2020-#1 in Mute 2/9/2020-#2 in Telekinesis 4/25/20-#1 in Royalwolf 3/15/22
