《Blood-Forged》Chapter 27

200 and some odd years ago...
Eun pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, “I would like to meet this Xora nobleman now.”
Kliali snorted, “you don’t really.” It was clear the presumptuous words were supposed to be quiet but Kliali didn’t have the quietest whisper. Eun and Ka’shin’lai were gracious and didn’t comment. Uling lightly smacked him on the arm and Ves’hil’n...
Well, Ves’hil’n was never one to hold his tongue.
“Do you not like him?”
Much to their chagrin Ka’shin’lai and Eun’s reactions were in sync though Eun pinched the bridge of his nose a bit harder than the Crown Prince.
Despite Uling’s deathly glare, Kliali seemed all to happy to air his grievances with a wry, forced grin, “oh no, I like him well enough, it’s just that he’s decided to hate Uling and I for ridiculous reasons and somehow believes himself to be above us despite being the clear weakest link.”
“Kliali-” Uling hissed but before her reprimand could continue, Ves’hil’n tilted his head to the side, dark brows rising slightly and asked...
“Weakest link? Is this truth or irritation speaking?” Ves’hil’n’s open, unflinching gaze moved from Kliali to Uling.
“Truth,” Kliali answered without hesitation.
Uling’s jaw tightened and she tucked some stray, black hairs behind her ear, “all those in my visions are necessary.”
Kliali rolled his eyes and jabbed Uling lightly in the ribs then hooked his arm around her shoulders and dragged her in close. With a chuckle, he said, “sure, sure he’s very necessary... Still the weakest link.”
Ka’shin’lai stiffened a little and the display, though the only one watching his reaction was Eun.
Uling huffed and blew away the strands of hair that had fallen into her face after Kliali’s jostling.
Finally, Eun spoke again, reluctantly taking his eyes off the Crown Prince and even more reluctantly not glancing at Ves’hil’n as he fixed his gaze on Uling and Kliali again, “all the same... I would like to meet him.”

Settlement of Safehaven - A Hearthtree Series
"Welcome to the ECS Asgard, your ride through the stars to your new home-" Or so goes the sales spiel of this one of four and first-produced colonization ship, a spiel meant to placate the portions of humanity who would be selected for such a journey through the stars. It was meant to be a simple thing; people would sleep in hibernation or stasis, to experience their lives within the virtual reality world which kept their minds occupied. The virtual world was meant to simulate a fantasy world of Viking or Roman lore. But not all with this virtual world was fine; nor were the humans who were selected for its maiden and only voyage. One colonist lost everything dear to him, but through his pain and torment, he gained the attention of the colony ship's AI.

When Kan lost all his power to an accident four years ago, he thought the world of divine cultivation had closed its gate on him forever. Until a mysterious visitor offers him a cure and a chance to start over. As Kan resumes his training, he discovers that the visitor’s gift isn’t a simple gesture of kindness. Dark forces are at play and monsters lurk in the shadows, threatening not only his life but also the future of the entire Continent. Meanwhile, his power has become stronger than he could ever imagine, and there seems to be more to the accident that once took everything away from him. The truth behind these puzzles and the answer to who he truly is will bring a revelation that changes the course of mankind. --------------- Note: this is a crossbreed of cultivation and high fantasy. The world is heavily Asian-inspired (though not Chinese or Taoist), the characters level up through stage progression and secret weapon unlocking, and the main conflict centers around politics and gods/demons.
8 169Conjured Villain
A game. That's what we were summoned for. No, none of us are heroes, though some fashion themselves as such. We were taken from Earth to compete, to entertain, to win. There can't be any heroism in such a system. We travel from world to world, accomplishing the goals that the Overlord has set for us. Some worlds we know from our popular culture, others are exotic to the extreme. Along the way, we gain power, yes, but the real reason we do it, the real reason we struggle and battle to the death is simple: freedom. We long for it so badly that we are willing to do anything. Anything. In this Game, some were assigned to be heroines, others as martyrs, and even some as love interests. And it just so happens that my assignment is simple: be the villain.-----------------Hey guys! This fiction is just something to do while I'm getting ready to do my new novel. So, as such, updates will be every other day or so. Maybe the schedule'll move up if you guys like reading it and I like writing it.BTW: this is a Terror Infinity Pseudo fanfiction. Meaning that some aspects are kept and others are removed. ------------------Mature Content included. Sexual situations, gore, and swearing all shall be included.
8 226Acheron
Acheron, keeping you, and your family, safe, by keeping them…where they belong! Support the United Systems Alliance penal system, for a safer tomorrow. Great commercial. But that place is a total hellhole worse than death for many, and everybody knows it. The convicts are even having children. They’re supposed to be sterilized, but that costs too much, if the scandals are to be believed. Either way, Dan doesn’t care. He has a job to do—and that’s to get that lizard-ambassador out of there. How her ship crashed on that rock in the first place is an interesting mystery. Something big is at play here...
