A few moments later, I look at the mannequin, who got hit by twelve shots of mine, and I already started to feel tired of shooting, and this is strange. I was never tired of shooting only twelve spells who consists into the small rock or heavy rock. Anyway, I decide to put my wand back to the belt and head into my home by taking the backdoor.
As soon as I got into the interior of the house, Taka almost finished with the dishes for the dinner. As I got into the house, Garnet comes to me.
"Judah. Would you like to help me at something?"
"Sure." I respond to Garnet request. "What is it?"
"Could heal my wound."
"What wound?" I ask her.
Then, Garnet show her arm, she rise the sleeve up, showing me a deep cut. I look at the cut, and I immediately use my healing spell on her. In a few seconds, the cut disappear thanks to my spell. Then, I look at Garnet and I ask her.
"What happened?"
"I don't know," responds Garnet. "I just suddenly got that cut while I was reading one of the book you lend it to me."
"Hm... Are you sure of that?"
"Yes."
"Alright." I told her, and both of us are heading to different directions. Garnet goes to her room, and I go outside, where is Ulfred, sitting on the bench, outside.
As I got there, I observed Ulfred, who is looking on the sky, holding his sword. I look at him worried, and I ask him feeling a little nervous.
"Ulfred?"
"They found us." says Ulfred looking at the sky.
"Found who?"
"The assassins." says Ulfred and he points at something on the sky who is getting far. "We have to prepare for defense."

"Alright." I say to Ulfred and both of us are running into the house, to alert the girls.

Meanwhile, on the building where Kata and Vidraru are hiding, someone, coming flying at them while he stands on an object who is helping that person to fly without the need of a dragon. The man comes through the window with the gadget, he leaned to be able to get through that window. As he got into the building, he looks worried at those two, who are looking curios at the man who was flying on the sky earlier.
"What happened, Luc?" asks Kata looking at the man who was flying on the sky, and checking for the targets they have to spot.
"I think I found them, and they also found me." says Luc worried.
"Oh, no." says Vidraru.
"Don't worry." says Kata taking her bow from the behind and an arrow from the quiver of nine arrows she is holding. "Tell me the distance between them, the wind trajectory and I will be able to scare them to reveal their location."
"It is one hundred twelve meters from here, the wind speed it is north-west, on the house with a green roof." responds Luc who gave space for Kata to aim her bow and prepare to shoot one arrow to the house Luc was describing it.
"Got it." she says after she found the house, thanks to a scope gear implemented on her bow, which helps her to see the distance to the house with green roof, she aims to the window where one member of the small group it is standing by, that member it is Judah. "He is mine."
She launches that arrow to the window direction. The arrow flies on a high speed to the window where Judah is standing by.

Meanwhile, on the house, I, Garnet, Ulfred and with Taka are discussing our strategy to defend. Taka immediately launches a clone, which passes me, and walks slowly to the other side of the building, to prepare for a surprise attack, and the clone Taka summoned got hit by a random arrow who was flying through the window. That arrow almost hit me, but he hit the clone instead who is dropping on the floor and disappear, leaving only the arrow who "killed" her on the floor. And at this moment, everybody from the house jumped down on the floor and hide behind the walls and stay away from the windows.
"Taka you saved my life!" I thanked Taka who is on laying on the ground.
"I didn't know there was an arrow coming to that direction." says Taka feeling scared. "Who was that arrow?" she looks at Garnet.
"It is Kata. She is the one who is able to shoot an arrow from this distance."
"There was a guy on a sky flying with a weird device." says Ulfred who is leaning on the same wall with Garnet.
"That is Luc. He is an odd guy who can do a lot of unusual things if he has the right gear. He is also a close combat fighter."
"How good is he at fighting?"
"Kinda good." says Garnet.
"Okay. Change of plans everyone." says Ulfred to us. "I and with Judah are going to take down Luc, and you. Taka, launch your clones and find the location where that assassin, Kata, is shooting from."
"Got it!" says Taka who Ulfred, and she crawls to the door who is leading to the backyard, while I, Garnet and Ulfred, are prepared to face Luc, if he dares to come here.
The fight has begun.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
