《How I Became A Jarl》All-seeing Eye pt. 2

He slowly shook his head. I took my hand away and watched him with dead eyes to scare him even more. If he thinks that I’m serious he won’t do anything stupid.
[ Eric ]
“Why are you following us?”
[ Man ]
“The Captain told me to…”
[ Eric ]
“Which Captain?”
[ Man ]
“Captain Meka… He threatened me…”
[ Dian ]
“That dirty bastard…”
[ Eric ]
“Shut up. What were you supposed to do?”
[ Man ]
“Track you…”
[ Eric ]
“But why? To find out hideout?”
[ Man ]
“I asked him why. But he told me the less I know the better.”
When I checked the view from a bird’s eye, I saw no guards. No one at the gate, walls, and port. Most of them were by the barracks and some showed themselves by us. We were surrounded. They blocked both ways from the alley. They were hiding in the buildings so there was no way for me to spot them. Dian wanted to activate his spell but before he could kneel and say the words to activate it he was shot in the foot.
[ Guard 1 ]
“No tricks more tricks you son of a bitch. Unless you want another arrow in your foot. Captain wants that kid but who is the ginger head?”
[ Guard 2 ]
“That’s the guy I told you about. If you don’t mind… We’d like to punish him ourselves.” Said the man that I recognized. It was the same guy that I punched in the face in the tavern.
Archers were aiming at us so I couldn’t do anything but surrender. There was no hero to save me now. I dropped my knife and got my hands up. The guard approached me from behind and pressed me to the ground. Not only they tied us up but also put some bags on our heads so we wouldn’t see anything. What they didn’t know is that I could see everything. I took a close look at every guy that pushed me from time to time. You’re now on my blacklist...

We were taken to a shipyard near the port. It looked like their hideout. Empty beer barrels all around the place. Few tables where they played some games and of course a lot of thugs that probably work as guards of this Meka guy. They threw us into some building and there were no birds inside it so I lost my vision. We were tied to some pillar.
[ Dian ]
“You’ll pay for that! Just wait! If Captain Turiel gets to know about it! It’s the end for you!”
[ Thug ]
“You mean that sorry-ass captain? Oh sorry, ex-captain. Am I right Turiel? Hahaha!” He said as he left with laughter.
[ Dian ]
“Wait! What do you mean?!”
[ Eric ]
“Exactly as he said. Am I right? Captain?”
[ Turiel ]
“You’re correct…” Bearly said Turiel.
[ Dian ]
“But how? How did that happen?”
[ Turiel ]
“Well… I’m not strong, to begin with. I might handle two guys at the time but it’s not an easy task for me. My brother thought that now is the time to rebel against me. I was blind at the beginning but once I noticed the truth behind his lies it was too late.”
[ Eric ]
“We also could react faster… At least now I have a full view of the town. There are only two guards standing by this building. Mind telling me where your brother is?”
[ Turiel ]
“I think he is in the main office. How do you know that there are two guards outside?”
[ Eric ]
“Let’s say that I have special eyes. Many of them at that.”
[ Dian ]
“Do you have any ideas on how to escape?”
[ Eric ]
“No idea. Just try to wiggle your arms or something.”
[ Turiel ]
“Why did they take you here?”
[ Eric ]
“Well… Dian fucked up their illegal trade and beaten up a few guards that serve Meka. By the way… They deserved that beating. Oh. Speaking of the devil… They are coming to us.”
