《The subtle World of Terraria》5-55. A meeting between heroes.

Evan POV:
Aisha took the lead in front of me, her hand firmly grasping the tiny fingers of Faith. Behind me were Luna and Tifa skillfully managing the horse reins, ensuring our steady progress. And in the middle of the group was I, who held the hands of Hope who was looking forward with excitement.
Crossing over the bridge, we approached the grand entrance of the towering kingdom walls. Standing guard were two formidable sentinels, clad in a shiny armor of silver and wielding spears adorned with striking yellow tips. Curiously, they made no attempt to halt our advance or request any form of identification.
With a subtle nod from Aisha, one of the guards reciprocated the gesture before moving towards Tifa and Luna, This sudden gesture of the guard made Tifa assume a defensive stance. Yet, to our surprise, the guard responded not with hostility but with an unexpected bow, leaving Tifa momentarily bewildered.
“Allow me, madam.” Said the guard as he took both of their reins.
“You know where right?” Aisha asked the guard.
“In the Ray Heaven's Stable.”
“Yes, Please.”
The guard snapped a crisp salute before taking charge of the horses. Which made me think about why was he so nice to Aisha. I know Aisha, but she’s not good enough to get the common soldiers and guards to respect her. In the end, I only had to ask. “You're a big deal here?”
Aisha tossed her brown tresses behind her in a graceful motion, a glimmer of pride in her eyes. "Well, I happen to be the Hero of Magic," she declared, her voice laced with confidence.
HOLD ON! Don't tell me! I thought as my heart skipped a beat when the realization sank in. Did Aisha really disclose that information to everyone? In a desperate attempt to maintain secrecy, I strained to lower my voice, ensuring our conversation remained clandestine, shielded from prying ears. “Wait a minute. Did you tell everyone that!?”
Aisha regarded me with a puzzled expression, while Hope and Faith curiously fixated their gazes on me. "Uh... yeah," Aisha replied in a hushed tone. "Haven't you done the same thing?"
"No!" I hissed, my whisper tinged with frustration. " I didn't want that kind of Attention!" Despite my best efforts, it seemed Luna and Tifa had overheard my murmurs, their eyes now locked on me with a mixture of curiosity and concern.
"Well, you're in my town now!" Aisha's voice boomed, her arms outstretched as if addressing an invisible crowd. "Allow us to extend our warm hospitality to you." The guard standing by the gate had his face covered with a silver helmet but I could tell he wanted to leave.
I let out a weary sigh before leaning in closer to her, my words barely a whisper. "Well, that does simplify things, but please refrain from announcing that I'm a hero too."
She nodded, a mischievous grin spreading across her face as she leaned right in front of my face, her voice now a conspiratorial whisper. "Gotcha. I'll make sure to inform each and every person here that you're a hero as well."
I knew she was teasing, but there was a mischievousness about her that made me wonder if this was her way of seeking revenge for denying her a hug. "Don't you dare," I hissed back, but before I could continue, Tifa interjected, breaking the tension between us.
“Wait, Evan, You're a Hero?” She whispered as she watched the guard who wanted to run away from her.

I looked at her weirdly until I remembered that I hadn’t told anyone besides my family that I was a Hero, so Tifa wouldn’t know. “Yea, I’m one of the legendary heroes, but please don’t tell anyone.”
She nodded, a knowing look in her eyes. "That explains so much," she murmured, her voice filled with understanding. Just as she did, Luna approached from behind but remained silent.
I knelt down, bringing myself to the eye level of Hope and Faith, and spoke in hushed tones. "This applies to you both as well, my little ones. Promise me you won't tell anyone that Papa is a hero, alright?"
“Yes!” they said in unison so I smiled at them and stood back up.
“By the way, I wanted to say this before but Tifa can you remove that cape? We've been attacked by a crazy clan named cultists and suspicious people are not really being tolerated right now.”
“Ah, Umm, how do I explain this?” Tifa said as I looked towards her to see what Aisha was talking about and realized that the cape she was wearing wasn’t for style but rather to hide her ears.
“Oh yea,” I said understandingly, “I forgot to tell you about Tifa but she's an Elf, which is why she's wearing a Cape. To hide her ears.”
“E-Evan!” Tifa was a bit shocked, but I raised a hand to calm her down.
“Don’t worry, Aisha’s a friend. Remember? We’re both Heroes?”
While I was talking to Tifa, I hadn't noticed the subtle change in Aisha's demeanor. However, her sudden exclamation jolted me out of my reverie, and I shifted my gaze towards her. Aisha's eyes sparkled with a mixture of astonishment and delight. The bridge beneath us seemed to fade into the background as her infectious enthusiasm took center stage. “HOLY SMOKES!” She yelped in joy, “Are you serious?”
By now, the guard had ditched his position and run away some time ago so we were alone and I was not afraid, what I was afraid of was what Aisha was going to do next. Thankfully, she didn’t do anything else besides ask Tifa if she really was an elf, to which Tifa responded with a nod.
Aisha then looked towards me before talking, “Evan, you really got some stories to tell, don't you?”
I nodded, “And I'd be happy to tell ‘em but wouldn’t it be better if we find a spot first? Talking out here, at the entrance of the kingdom, is kind of a bummer, don’t you think?”
“Hehe, then let's go to my house… I say house but it’s really just a room. You’re still gonna be surprised by it though.”
“Oh Yea? Make me.”
As Luna finally chimed in, a thoughtful expression graced her face. "You know," she began, her words carrying a hint of curiosity, "I couldn't help but notice how comfortable you two seem with each other, despite just meeting for the first time. It's almost as if there's a deeper connection."
At that moment, it dawned on me. Luna's silence hadn't been a mere coincidence; she had been silently observing us, piecing together the puzzle of our relationship.
“W-Well… We’re heroes, we’re quite alike, it’s as if we’re brothers and sisters!” I tried making an excuse but she didn’t budge.
“That doesn’t make any sense.” Luna was staring daggers into my eyes.
“Sure it does.” Aisha interrupted us, “Now, how about everyone follow me to a more comfortable place?”

“Yay!” Said the kids in joy as Aisha moved forward without listening to Luna’s arguments.
Aisha led us inside the Kingdom, the narrow streets of the bustling kingdom were lined with vibrant shops and colorful market stalls, drawing the attention of passersby. We looked at everything like tourists through the lively atmosphere as we made our way through the throngs of people. The air was alive with the scents of exotic spices and the melodies of street performers, creating a sensory symphony that enveloped them on their journey.
We departed from the lively streets, the clamor and commotion slowly fading into the distance. I don't know if I should say fortunately or unfortunately but Aisha steered us straight towards the imposing and colossal castle, its towering structure casting a shadow over everything in its vicinity. As we approached the massive gates, I saw a number of guards patrolling the areas around while four formidable guards stood watch at the gates. Clad in resplendent golden armor, armed with spears in hand and swords on their hips, they exemplified the regal authority that resonated within the castle walls. With a respectful bow, they yielded to Aisha's presence, granting us passage into the powerful-looking castle.
As we stepped into the grandeur of the palace, my words escaped in a mixture of disbelief and admiration. The opulence of the interior engulfed my senses, leaving me in awe of the lavish surroundings. Every corner of the entrance hall exuded an air of extravagance, adorned with exquisite furniture laced with pure gold, intricate paintings, and other artifacts that whispered of untold riches. The castle seemed to be a world of its own “Welp, you got me surprised.” I told Aisha as we made our way inside the entrance hall, “I can't believe you live in a Castle.”
“Well, technically I only have one room,” She said as her grip on Faith’s hand tightened in fear she might just run into whatever she finds curious, “but I still feel like I'm an aristocrat or something whenever I come back here.”
I nodded understandingly as my grip on Hope’s hand also tightened, “True… true.”
We followed Aisha's confident lead as she navigated the labyrinthine corridors of the exquisite palace with a familiarity that hinted at countless prior journeys. The palace seemed to stretch endlessly, its opulent halls adorned with magnificent tapestries, intricate sculptures, and ornate chandeliers. Each turn revealed new wonders, as if the very walls whispered stories of bygone eras and illustrious guests. Aisha's seamless navigation through this maze of splendor left us in awe, unsure if we were witnessing a carefully choreographed dance or the effortless stride of someone intimately acquainted with every nook and cranny.
In the end, I decided to ask her with the help of the chatbox.
Evan: How many times have you gotten lost in here?
Aisha: Hm? Why would I? I always bring up the 3D map?
Ohhhhh, why didn't I think of that?
We walked a bit more until we reached Aisha's Room.
“Well, Here we are.” She said standing in front of an oak double door. With gold handles.
“Alright, then what are we waiting for?” I said as I thought It was time for me to prank her, “Let's Go!” I said as I basically pushed Aisha away to open the door.
“Evan, WAIT!” She tried stopping me but I ignored her plea and opened the door.
As I stepped into the room, expecting to be greeted by a scene of untidiness and chaos, I was met with a surprising sight. The room was immaculate, with not a trace of clutter or scattered garbage in sight. The air carried a faint scent of fresh linen, and the space exuded an aura of pristine tidiness. Standing in the center of the room was a maid, her attire a standard housemaid's uniform adorned in black and white. Her blonde hair cascaded elegantly around her face, which boasted sharp brown eyes and a mature countenance. Despite her professional demeanor, I couldn't help but notice her towering stature, she was actually bigger than me.
Huh. Well, that’s… Unexpected.
I started looking around the room, there was a queen-sized bed adorned with a vibrant red carpet, its rich hue adding a touch of regality to the space. A dressing table stood against one wall, accompanied by simple wooden tables and chairs, offering functional yet unpretentious furniture. Along another wall, a wooden bookcase proudly displayed its colorful collection of books, a vivid tapestry of knowledge. Natural light streamed in through a window, casting a gentle glow that mingled with the warm illumination of wall lamps and flickering candles. As my gaze wandered, I couldn't help but be captivated by the surprisingly exquisite paintings that adorned the walls, each stroke of brush conveying a story or emotion.
The maid caught my gaze and gracefully bowed before me while pulling the hem of her long skirt up a bit, a gesture of utmost respect. "Welcome, esteemed guest of Ms. Aisha," she greeted me with a hint of formality in her tone.
"Tch, A personal maid, huh? No wonder the room’s clean." I muttered, acknowledging the grandeur of the situation. Aisha, seemingly in a hurry, entered the room, clutching Faith's hand tightly.
Noticing that her room was not in disarray, Aisha spoke with a heartfelt tone. "Chara, you're a lifesaver." Then, she turned her attention towards me, her expression adorned with an angry pout. "Evan, barging into a girl's room without permission is incredibly rude, you know."
“What? afraid that I would see the wreck in your room?”
“Alright, Let's forget about all that.” She said as she turned towards the maid again, “Chara, can you take care of my guests? Evan here and I have to talk about some really important things.” Aisha finally let go of Faith’s hand and I copied her with Hope’s hand.
“Ohhh~ some, us time. I like that.” I told Aisha.
“Huh? Hold on a minute.” It was Luna this time, “Why can’t we join?”
“Mama and Papa need some time alone, no kids allowed. That's why” Said Aisha as I realized that she was not gonna stop using that one on Luna as it was her weakness.
“Hell No!” Luna said in a way that wasn’t very elegant or ladylike. But then again, she’s just 16. Actually, she said that in a manner I would. Is that something to worry about? Nah I'm probably overthinking it.
Without skipping a beat, the maid, Chara, swiftly positioned herself between ‘kids’ and us, assuming a protective stance. Her eyes met ours, and with a reassuring hand placed on her chest, she spoke in a calm and composed tone.
"Fear not, Madam. I will ensure their safety and well-being."
Aisha was relieved as she expressed her gratitude, "Thanks Chara. You're a Lifesaver."
“Wait a minute!” Luna screamed from behind the maid, “I still have things to say!”
Chara turned around to face Luna as started talking, “You can say them after they have talked to each other.”
I couldn’t help myself but join in on the fun, “Behave good kids.”
“Alright!” Hope waved her hand
Luna kept trying to scream but Chara closed and locked the doors.
Luna POV:
DAMN IT!
Gritting my teeth with frustration, I found myself glowering at the tall and bothersome maid. Ignoring her condescending gaze, she proceeded to speak, her tone tinged with a hint of superiority.
"Please, allow me to guide you through the castle, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of its layout and the historical significance of its various objects."
"Yay!" exclaimed Faith, brimming with excitement, while Hope posed a curious question, "Then who are you? Oh! And what do you do?" The little ones eagerly trailed behind her, bombarding her with inquiries like curious children on a school trip. Meanwhile, my mind was consumed with strategizing my next move.
“Tifa, we need a better plan,” I said but no one responded so I looked around only to find out that Tifa was nowhere to be seen.
Oh, that bitch! She left me!
…Or is she spying on Evan?
Hehehe... It was a good idea to bring her along.
Evan POV:
Aisha went ahead and sat down on her large and exquisite double bed. She sighed as if she can’t believe what was happening. “About a month after we meet again and you already made me a Mama.”
Suddenly, the Notifications bar lit up and we both checked to see and it was Walter messaging us.
Walter: BAHAHAHAHA!!! OH, I Definitely want Context for That!
“You’re already here?” I asked as I looked into the distance.
Walter: Just got here, to be honest, I followed your name tags and just as I phased into the room, Aisha said that.
“Well, that's cause it happened. Evan got two little doll-like cute Daughters. Who also became my daughters. Now I’m a mama too.”
Walter: Oh Man! I've been missing out on some stuff.
“Yep,” I said, “Now, should we respawn you first? or exchange our stories and info first?”
Walter: Let's talk about all that happened between us when we were alone. I mean, I can respawn anytime right? so might as well talk because, oh, Boy! Have I been Bored.
After that, we three just started talking about how we ended up here, it was something all three of us needed.
Aisha was quite lucky. She spawned near this large kingdom and came for shelter which made her life easy. She later found out about all the other skills and things like that, which was when she found out that she was the Hero of Magic. She used that title as an advantage which made her get a place in this castle.
Walter Spawned in the middle of nowhere in a Snow Biome, kinda like me but I was in the forest and luckier.
{Author Note: Not Really, you died too.}
He was much more confused and actually thought that he was dreaming. That was until he decided to do exploration. He didn’t have any tools so he couldn’t do much, he somehow made snowballs through his hands and dicked around until night came and then he got surrounded by zombies and killed.
Now let's get to the weird part of all this.
Both of them spawned here but neither had tools for survival or basic needs. These guys just somehow actually Spawned here. Unlike me who got transferred into some dude's body, which is weirder, but these guys just spawned here randomly and actually a bit earlier than me.
I don’t think this point matters, but I was playing Terraria with them before we got here, yet, somehow, they both got here a week before I did, which is an odd detail.
Another weird thing.
The flippen cultists are here too and Aisha already fought off an Eye of Cthulhu here like 2 weeks ago, but I didn't receive any message of it spawning, which was the same for Aisha and Walter when the Eyes of Cthulhu’s spawned near me and when I fought with the Goblin Army.
Next Weird thing, it's the "Time" of this world, which is all screwed up if I think about it correctly, Elizabeth, Tifa's mother said that she's been around for more than a few hundred years. That means that her parents were also like that. And I remember from that peace treaty between the Human kingdom and the Elf kingdom, that Daisy says something about Elizabeth being the 6th Queen?
That just means that this world is more than a few thousand years old, and there were 181 different races at exactly that time, Humans included. If that's true than why haven't the humans not charted like 90% of this World? The weird part here is that there's only a total of 8 major human kingdoms!
What in the hell is going on!?
WHY IS EVERYTHING MESSED UP!?
WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE IN A DIFFERENT BODY!?
WHY ARE THE PREVIOUS HEROES DIARIES SO WORTHLESS!?

Marrow
Marrow was old... older than me or you. Older than the nation he lived in. And older than anyone he knew. Which is not surprising, because he did not know anyone else. He had been sitting, or perhaps leaning is the more apt expression, in a closet for many, many years, and had done nothing but stare. But eating, or rather chewing, a spider opened up another world to him. A world with a voice that was talking to him - to HIM! Marrow did not get what the voice was saying, but that was secondary at this point. And Marrow started to feel restless. Nuff said. If you like a sometimes quirky skeleton as the main character and want to ride along for its coming of age, or perhaps rather coming of sapience story... give it a shot. It is a litrpg context with skills, levels, heroes and monsters... and a skeleton. Not sure yet how fast the skeleton will level... we'll have to wait and see. As a disclaimer... this is my secondary novel... my main story is ongoing and most of my time is dedicated to that. As such, new chapters will, at first, be rather infrequent and irregular. If things go well, I may shift more attention to the story, but we shall see how things go.
