《Wolf Bloodline》The Mayhem In The Skies (Shou)

Afterward our talk with Hiroshi, I had found myself trying to get to the ship by climbing up the volcano. From right to left, I was clinching to the point that I had to get there faster, using my limbs and body fundamentally on being quick about what I had to do.
I know it wasn't my war, but I needed them, to achieve the goal that I wished for such a time. It was essential for both sides to work in harmony, to lessen the damage. And since the enemy side was spread out to the inside areas of the island, it was a big-time battle we had to deal with, and had to put everything we had into it.
I needed their help, Just like they needed mine.
So just about, when I got to the top of the volcano, I saw that the ship's chains had broken off from the bottom. And because of this, it continued to rise. Getting rid of its weight, it flew like a plane.
It was headed out to sea, once again to probably land on.
And it was impossible for me to reach there by only jumping. Being very far away from it, neither it was easy, nor seem possible. So because of this, I had to pick up speed and jump into the chain it had under it. The one that it dragged for too long.
I started running at the top of the volcano to get up to speed, and I got faster with every step. I was stepping firmly, and because the top of the volcano was round, I had to go around it a few times. And when I got enough speed, if not too much, I jumped strongly in the direction where the ship was located.
I managed to hold on to the chains. And because I was leaning hard, I swayed and went up in one go. Thus, both I and those long chains were able to get up to the deck of the ship.
However, there was no one on board.
Along with a fairly calm and quiet environment, I couldn't hear or see anything other than the wind picked up by the sails. It was just an empty ship moving by itself. But nevertheless, no matter how the situation turned out, the way I learned things on occasions like this, reminded me that this ship would not be left so easily. I could also sense something was wrong with the ship.
A thing that had a pretty strong aura. And not as an object. But I felt it as if it were a person.
When I got to the captain's reel, the ship started rocking. Right in the air, it was vibrating like an earthquake and cutting my contact with the ground. I was in a situation where I had to control my body so as not to fall off the ship, whileas it took the big majority of my energy to do that.
And right when I went back on, I stood right opposite the door, and tried to see what was really inside the ship.

Then, footsteps, loud and clear rose, and a man came out of the darkness.
He was bigger and much well-shaped than me. A man with a bushy beard, carrying a captain's hat on his head, a sword at his waist, and a ring on his finger. He was indeed the main problem that caused any of this. But seeing only from my perspective, I would assume that he would think the same. And to my realization, he also had a bad temper and was cold-blooded.
As he came closer to me, strange sounds were coming from the ship, and the whole ship was shaking. Apparently, there was no one else on board but him. But the fact that he could move the big ship on his own did not quite fit into my mind and thoughts.
With those angry looks that he had, in a way that crushed a person's courage, he was emitting an evil and powerful energy. He was taking heavy steps, slowly examining me. And not only did he do that, but he stood right in front of me, without going further than the front of the reel
Then he opened his mouth slowly, and began to speak.
"Would you look at that! I don't see the real brat who got all of this on our tails, but looks like I still managed to catch some little prey!"
"I wasn't hiding."
"There's nothing left to hide anyway. You and all those people with you have already entered into a war that you cannot escape. If this war comes to an end before one is determined, your lives will be taken by me or someone else, just as I like it to be."
"...."
"Besides, what you need to see was already in front of you all along."
He pointed with his finger, to the battle over the sea and his ships,
"You see, there, right at the point. There is a movement. A plan, a massacre that will close a whole era and is predicted precisely. Any other than you all have prepared, we have so many men and navies that it is ridiculous to compare such a crew with only what you have.
And what actually baffles my mind is, that just like the feelings you evoke on people, Kings and everyone else are afraid of people like us. And you know this feeling better than any of us, and yet you choose the most useless side to help.
Why would somebody so dangerous like you do something like this?"
"It has nothing to do with you."
"We are here for a reason. So what is the point of you not explaining it?"
"The path of the teachings that I have witnessed and respect, is a long and scary journey, that you can't walk. It is either to be lived through all the suffering, or die as you may wish."
"Nothing will come in front of sudden death, that is for sure. But it may be you just like we both have the same upper hand at war."

He then stood up straight and said,
"So just to be clear, at least tell me what you are on about, White Death."
"Like I said before."
Giving him a look I continued,
"You can't fool me with mind games that you can only set up on me and in my soul. So I recommend that you eliminate whatever you are thinking, whatever plans you have in mind, and filthy actions that you are going to do. If you continue to think captivity and justice are fears, you will end up being a coward."
But he didn't company about the words I spoke. He just looked at me, and then put a slight smile on his face,
"Only your life based on the search for justice that you live, overrides my point of view and allows you to live in such a way. No matter what I do now, it's like I can't get you away from this stupid and demanding view. And so on, I was waiting for that boy instead of you anyway. But apparently, I'll be content with you."
He was just madly driven about the fact that he couldn't get our lives much before we got here. And it seemed like he was getting annoyed, not only from us running away and creating a hole in their plan, but he was getting much angrier that he couldn't kill us in such a proud and arrogant way.
His movements, were a shame towards himself as a human being. And was just reckless, blinded by his greedy ideas. He was in the wrong way of everything in life. So, I used my only option.
Words.
To make him understand.
"My sword is my soul, and my soul is my weapon. My thoughts fly away, but what I feel remains with me deeper along with matters of life. Fear and hatred, kindness and joy. The creation of every element of the world. This world works with balance, so maybe stopping you now won't be to dissuade each other like you did, but by using this sword, I will cleanse not only your body, but also your soul."
He didn't say anything.
He and I, we're both ready to do the thing we had on our minds, and it was just getting closer to us.
And without saying much to that, I threw my hand on my sword, and before even his nervous system could detect it, I got as close to it as I could get. Being quicker than him, I swung a blow to his chest. But just then I was doing it, the ship's ropes, passing in front of the captain, became a bulwark. It was as if they were alive, they were acting in a lively way, creating a shield in front of him.
I didn't understand what was happening, but now they were just obstacles for me. So I made a quick turn and cut the ropes with a single breath. But then, when I headed back to my attack point, the captain had already taken out his sword and stopped my katana.
Therefore, when our swords collided, a strong sound wave was created, enough for a such wide range to hear. The sound of metal hitting another metal, caused a high level of ringing in the ear and became an unstoppable feeling. It already became so certain to feel that the sound of this collision could be heard almost meters away in the terrain, and to even feel the birds reacting accordingly.
Afterward, I threw myself back and swung my sword once more. I tried to throw a quick sword blow, but it wasn't hard for him to stop it anyway. I kept throwing my sword blows and started filling his head with moves that he should have stopped and created time for looking for a deficit.
But even though I was the one who caught the upper hand at the start, the situation was getting reversed as we clashed again and again. The thing that made it more difficult in our struggle, was that his sword was heavier and larger than my katana, but somehow he could keep up with my speed. He prevented me from gaining speed and landed solid blows just like me beforehand.
If it had continued like this, it would have been possible for my sword to have suffered a strong impact and be broken.
But my eye caught some another detail too.
The little stone, that was on top of his sword, shone every time he swung his sword. It was as if he was making it easier for him to use, easing up and speeding it up.
But when he swung his sword at me from top to bottom once again, I stopped the sword blows by bringing my katana to my head. Then, somersaulting backward, I dodged the sword blow twice in a row. And when my back was close to the ground, taking strength from my back, I swung my feet towards him and tried to hit him. It was a set of moves that I was used to because of training, but the weird stone on the sword was such a distraction, I had to even be careful about it speeding up even more or coming up with another power.
So, afterward, holding his sword straight, he blocked my kicks and pushed me back. Made me go in the air like before.
As a result, I couldn't do attacks by gaining strength in certain places on my body at that moment. So I turned myself around, picked up speed, and swung my sword from right to left.
He once again blocked my sword with his, and said with such anger, continuing to push me
"If you are not on the side of fear, then show me what you truly are!"

The Gatekeeper
Quick Synopsis:This is the story of Reylor, a god-like existence who lost a great portion of his strength when accidentally sent from his “home” to another world. Making friends and learning to harness to power of magic, he maintains his commitment to his prior duty and proceeds to fight against corruption, both on a political front and against what is known as the shade.(Note, this story focuses on action and adventure, so politics are not in depth) This has been my first novel, which was primarilly inteded as a learning experience, and so it may be a bit rough in regards, but it should definitely be readable and it is a full story. I may make some adjustments to it later on, but there's no guarantee... anyhow, it's free to read, so give it a go! Also, feel free to check out my new website: aretornovels.wordpress.com
