Swallowed Star Chapter 2402

Chapter 932
Luo Feng was confused . Castellan teacher had asked him to come to see him after ten battles, but here he was after only two . And the castellan was patient enough to wait for him to finish .
"You're going to create the second move?" the castellan asked, looking at Luo Feng .
"Yes," Luo Feng said with respect . "I don't think the first move of Moon Policy or 10,000-Star Sermon Map is enough, which is why I need to create the second one . "
"You're studying both of them?" the castellan continued .
"Yes . " Luo Feng didn't hesitate a bit .
The castellan frowned and said in a throaty voice, "Did you engage in any fighting?"
"Two," Luo Feng answered . "I barely won the first one but lost the second one . "
"What's your takeaway from that?" the castellan asked .
"I realized that both strengths and treasures are important," Luo Feng said . "For one thing, treasures can't be fully utilized if the owner is not powerful enough . Plus, one will be put at a disadvantage in a battle against enemies at the same level if he doesn't have treasures . For me, I have adequate treasures, whereas I need to increase my power . "
Both Luo Feng and the castellan stood among the stars in the practice field and engaged in questions and answers .
"Didn't these battles make you realize that you're wasting your time trying to follow the spirit reader path?" the castellan scolded Luo Feng in a raucous voice .
The voice directly hit Luo Feng's mind, yet Luo Feng remained extraordinarily firm .
"Waste of time?" Luo Feng shook his head . "No . I feel like I'm strengthened and that it's the right path for me . "
Luo Feng thought the castellan was kidding because he owned the Star Map, which was designed for spirit reader to attack . He wouldn't be able to defeat limit emperors with his own power and moves, whereas he could out-power Lightning-Racing Emperor with the Star Map!
The castellan shook his head . "Give up . Give up on the spirit reader path and focus on the warrior path . " The castellan sighed .
Luo Feng was dazed and stared at the castellan who had been guiding him all along . "Why?" he asked . "I have an unrelenting will, and I inherited from Demon-Sound General, which gave me a high frequency of amplitude . I can make great accomplishments following the spirit reader path . "
"But you can accomplish greater things if you follow the warrior path!" the castellan said .
"Could you please clarify?" Luo Feng said and bowed .

The castellan looked at his student, knowing that it was impossible for him to give up because of one sentence alone .
"I'll elaborate on it," the castellan said with earnestness . "First of all, you're a black warrior . Second, you're following the path of beast god!"
Luo Feng listened carefully .
"The black warrior has become a legend in Blood River Land," the castellan said . "Being a black warrior means your genes tally with those of the beast god, and you can significantly improve your genes using Blood of Beast God in the future . Genes are foundational . If you're fundamentally 1,000 times stronger, how is your enemy going to fight you? Besides, the fallen beast god in Blood River land concentrated on close combat . Remember, spirit reader can never reach the top by following the path of beast god . "
The castellan looked at Luo Feng . Luo Feng was bewildered .
Can never reach the top?
"You have to follow the path of the warrior to match beast god's level!" the castellan said . "You're a black warrior, so you have an extremely rare constitution . The fact that you could improve so quickly on the path of beast god shows your great talent . How can you squander it? You're likely to become a Universe master if you follow the path of the warrior . It's indeed difficult, but success is guaranteed . If you just follow your own whims, it will be almost impossible for you to become a Universe master . "
Luo Feng fell into silence .
"Some small clans don't even know about this secret," said the castellan . "Some have tried both paths like you, which is ridiculous because they will never be able to reach the top . Just take Xi Luo Duo as an example . He was stuck at the last challenge and never managed to cross it . " The castellan looked at Luo Feng . "Think deeply . And give me the answer when you're done . "
The castellan turned around . Luo Feng remained silent .
I can only follow the path of the warrior if I want to match the beast god? Luo Feng mused . Being a black warrior means my genes tally with the beast god? That's right . I learned Nine Volumes Manual, after which my genes sharply improved, exceeding those of humans, and that's how I managed to merge the ten Black River Crystals . One path is given by castellan teacher . I need to follow the path of the warrior and the beast god, and I'm likely to become as powerful as the beast god, which means I will become a Universe master!
The spirit reader is offered by teacher Mountain Sitting Guest . I'll concentrate on Nine Volumes Manual, and there's no need to create any form of secret techniques, because I'll take charge of the Star Tower when I become more powerful in the future . Both students of teacher Mountain Sitting Guest are masters of the universe, which means it is more likely that I'll become a Universe master following this path—not to mention one of the most forceful treasures, Star Tower .

"Which one should I choose?" Different scenarios struck Luo Feng's mind .
He laughed . Why should I even bother? I'll follow two paths since each of them offers a chance for me to become a Universe master . Luo Feng perked up . I'm not like Bolan, who divided his focus between two laws . Although it seems like I am following both the path of the warrior and the path of the spirit reader, I'm following the path of the beast god, essentially . And I can study how to combine them together if I follow both paths .
Among the stars, the castellan stood in the void for quite a while .
"Teacher," Luo Feng finally said with veneration .
"You've made your decision?" The castellan sounded tranquil .
"Yes," Luo Feng said, looking as if there were lights in his eyes . "I've decided to follow both paths, and I'll give one of them up if I realize I have made the wrong decision in the future . "
The castellan turned to Luo Feng . "I will say no more on this, as you've made up your mind," said the castellan . "I'll see how far you can go by following both paths . "
Luo Feng looked at the teacher .
"Great . " The castellan nodded . "It's okay to make mistakes . What really matters is whether you can persevere and put your heart into it . "
Luo Feng kneeled . "Thank you, teacher . "
He kneeled because he was sincerely thankful . He realized that the castellan would still support him even if he went against his suggestions, and that the castellan arranged one opponent after another for him to practice his secret techniques, which was time-consuming . Even if the castellan valued Luo Feng because of his race, he owed so much to him . He needed to remember his kindness and repay it when he had the chance .
"Let's begin!"
Luo Feng disappeared, and the golden-horned beast appeared . Luo Feng followed the usual schedule and started with Moon Policy, followed by 10,000-Star Sermon Map .

In the rural area of the universe, Black Flower Secret Region, inside Ice Hell, the news was spreading that Luo Feng had managed to survive both Death God's Point and Silver Look and escape . However, there weren't advanced communications in Ice Hell and the detector Luo Feng carried was interrupted . It was not realistic to establish an internal virtual world inside Ice Hell .
Poor communication!
Besides, there were feuds between the powerful creatures, and they were so hostile toward each other that they would fight each other anytime they met . Only some friends or equals would gather once in a while . As a result, only one-third of the creatures knew about what Luo Feng had done after more than half a year had passed .
******
In the snows of Southern Ice Hell stood a spectacular palace with blocks of ice littered all around . Demon-race characters were crafted on them, which were clearly the rankings of Ice Hell . Without a doubt, inside the palace lived a very special creature—Sky Wolf! One of the five invincible emperors!
Additionally, he was the editor of the rankings and also happened to be best-tempered . It was said that sky wolves were ruthless and fierce creatures, whereas the Sky Wolf living here was arguably one of the most peaceful . However, he would also kill if he was irritated . After all, he was one of the top five creatures in all of Ice Hell, a title earned by majestic battles .
In the tremendous icy throne sat a mountain-like demon around fifteen kilometers long . It was covered with snowy hair tipped with gold, giving the appearance of a halo around him . There were three strange, scar-shaped engravings on his forehead .
He was Sky Wolf!
"Master, it seems the ranking needs to be updated . "
"There have been new battles?"
"Yes . It was the human who fought with Lightning-Racing Emperor and Silver Eye . "
Five servants covered with scales stood in the palace, and they were at the level of officials . Sky Wolf had brought them here when it was detained .
"Human!" Sky Wolf suddenly raised his head and glared down at them . "Where is the human? Find the human right now!"
The servants were dazed . "Master, the fight was more than half a year ago . "
"More than half a year?"
Sky Wolf growled . When the human showed up in Ice Hell, Silver Eye had publicly looked for him . Sky Wolf, on the other hand, had sent his servants to search for him in secret but had eventually given up the search . He hadn't expected the news to come more than half a year late .
"This can't go on," said Sky Wolf .
Sky Wolf stood up with his four claws on the throne . His servants kneeled down under the fear of his might .

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)

Homecoming | A Chronicles of Ascension Story
When Jethen was captured by slavers, his childhood was torn from him and left shattered half a world away. When he finds himself back home decades later, by methods he does not fully understand, he finds that the life he has lived has changed him far more than he knew. In a home he no longer knows. Places and people at the same time familiar and foreign, he must decide - stay and help with his parent's business, or return to the land that remade him and the family he made there. --------- Homecoming started as just a short story to break an episode of writers block. It has since morphed well beyond that into a novel in it's own right, and may well end up with a sequel. The writing of Homecoming became a bit of a self induced challenge to improve my initial, first brush, writing quality. Each chapter was written raw, given a once over read and edit, and then posted. In this way I am forcing myself to write better from the start. I do hope you enjoy the story and will leave a comment or review, and if you see an issue, feel free to let me know as well. I know it is not nearly perfect, and it will get a full and proper edit once I am done. Never hurts to fix things along the way though. As an additional note. The story has undergone a structural rework and has been reposted in an updated structure and sequence of chapters. If you have read this story already, I invite you to do so again in this new structure.

Psychotic Death Online
(Side Project for now)In a futuristic alternate reality, the creators of nanotech team up with the VR capsule company to create a capsule where one could stay it in for a year at a time before having to leave. These capsules could be use for rehab and even reconstruction! Eventually, Buzzard, the largest gaming company in the world, created a new VRMMO with 99% realism pending the new capsules, of course the rate dropped to 97% with normal capsules and 90% with the old fashioned visor systems. Unfortunately, the new capsules cost $100,000 and not many people can afford them, either way the new game World of Destiny was a hit with over 110 million subscriptions!Meet our tragic MC Feng Jun, an injured psychopath that simply wants to get his next kill. He has no MO, he doesn't even care if what he kills is an insect let alone a person. He just has to kill every once in awhile to scratch his itch. Up til an injury that left him without a leg, he was able to make do simply killing insects as no one cared and he didn't even have to visit any doctors about it. People just thought he hated bugs! But after his injury he has been suck at his home not being able to do anything! Fortunately he is rich and spends most of his time playing MMOs since normal VRMMOs don't work well with his injury as the realism setting always keeps him with only one leg! But what will he do with a new opportunity to rebuild his leg with nanotech? Knowing he has to spend a year in the game minimum for something like this, he sets a goal to insure he doesn't go crazy (er) without having stuff to kill. This is a VRMMO story where the game is closer to zhan long than royal road with a few twists here and there. The world outside of the game is sci fi and has very little impact at least for the first year due to obvious reasons. No gore or explicit sex in this story, if cursing requires a mature tag I will add it later, this story is at best PG-13. Tragedy is for his circumstances and previous life, the game itself isn't tragic at all as it's just a game more or less.(This story will be put out alongside my main story whenever I feel like it for now, no set schedule at this time)
