《The Alteras Games: World Jumper Book 2》Chapter 24

Jet reached out his hand. It was completely unnecessary. The ground shook violently as cracks formed on the ground. The windows in the buildings shattered as the cracks grew in size. The tanks sank into the ground slowly, which made them miss him, hitting the buildings around him instead. Screams could be heard as buildings collapsed from the laser fire. Not that Jet wasn't doing as much damage, more like more damage. Buildings fell from the quake on top of the tanks. Some buildings would have fallen on Jet if he hadn't made walls around himself. He looked around and decided Davis was right. He is definitely a walking disaster.
The tanks Jet had buried in the ground glowed brightly. "You have got to be kidding me." Jet complained as he turned to run. All of them exploded, sending Jet flying through the air. His land was not graceful at all. Jet tumbled through the town over and over. The building around him shattered and fell as he tumbled through the streets. When he finally came to a stop, he looked back at a burning city.
'Jet, do you need help?' Alex asked worriedly.
'No, I'll be fine. Got a few scratches and bruises. Other than that, nothing seems to be broken.' Jet winced as he moved his body around. He was amazed that it hadn't killed him. Then again, he had fallen from further distances and lived.
"Damn, kid, it's going to take quite a bit to kill you." Jet looked over to the woman in a suit. He couldn't believe his eyes. It was Gegol. "I know what your thinking. Why am I here? The simple answer is I am a powerhouse. The reason I watch over the games is to look for potential. Along with making sure no one goes after Lord Joy."
"And now you have to kill me to keep your secret?" Jet sighed. "But I do have one question." Geol nodded to Jet to continue. "If he wants to steal my power. Why is Joy trying to kill me?"
"Simple, Lord Joy can take your power even if you are dead. It's easier that way as well." Gegol clapped her hands, and the air around Jet cracked. The atmosphere looked like actual cracks were forming. Jet had to teleport away when his skin also cracked and bled. "That won't work, boy." She snapped a finger, and the wall of the building Jet was in crumbled.
Jet did not like the situation at all. He had no clue how Gegol's magic even worked. Maybe it had to do with sound? He sent a fireball at Gegol. Who waved a hand, and it broke apart until the fireball vanished. Several spears of earth shot at Gegol with no movement at all. The air around Gegol cracked, shattering the spikes. Jet didn't stop there and caused the ground to shake and crack. But Gegol stepped up onto a soul plate. He sent several air blades at her as well. But they disappeared in the cracks as well. Jet felt it as his skin broke apart again and leaped away. Blood ran down his body from many wounds.

"Do you get it now? Boy, there is no way to beat me." A grin spread on Gegol's lips that would scare the bravest of people.
"Your wrong. I just have to keep trying to find a way." Jet decided that holding back on Gegol wouldn't be possible. The cracks formed in the air next to him. He used World Breaker to cut the cracks away. It had worked, to his utter surprise. Too bad it could only take out a small area around the sword. So he had got hit anyways. He stabbed the blade into the ground and pulled Fate out. It went off with a pop, not a bang. Too quiet to be described as a bang like a gun. The ray of energy didn't make it to her before falling apart. Fate would be useless in the fight. He picked back up World Breaker. Trying not to smack himself in the face, he added his magic to the sword.
Gegol did not like how Jet could cut through her magic. However, it did not matter. She would just drop an entire building on him. The whole building shattered and tumbled down on Jet. The pieces blew out in all directions, including some bodies. Jet concluded there were going to be a lot of casualties to fight Gegol. Jet decided not to waste time and ran at Gegol. The air cracked all around him, and he swung his sword. Sure enough, with magic in the blade, it destroyed more of an area. Gegol teleported away before Jet could reach her.
Jet used his magic sense to find her. Apparently, the teleport left a magical trail to follow. He found Gegol standing in the sky. That had even more airships flying around. How Alex was doing, Jet had no idea or the time to worry. The air around Jet crackled with magic as he prepared to go all out. His eyes glowed brightly with the setting sun. He leaped twenty feet into to air to stand on a soul plate. Without thinking, he jumped at Gegol and began his attack. The city crumbled as they attacked each other. Jet tried everything on the woman. He rained fireballs down on her. He used ice to try to get to her. Even while they were down in the city, he tried collapsing buildings on her.
"How much longer can you keep this up? You're breathing kind of hard." Gegol smirked.
Jet smirked right back. "I may not have hit you yet. But you seem to be soaked in sweat." He was acting tuff. Blood dripped to the ground as he stood watching Gegol. He did not have any time to fix the problem, not that he could. At this point, he would have to cauterize his entire body. A water main broke, splashing her with water. Jet noticed her magic couldn't stop all the water from touching her. While she wiped away the water on her face, Jet pulled out The Meat Cleaver visualizing a dagger and threw it. The small weapon hit her in the leg.

"Will you just die?" Gegol lost all her composer.
"After you," Jet replied, then teleported in close to stab her. It didn't work. She teleported away just as fast. Now that she was off balance, he tried something he figured out earlier. A black hole appeared close to her. But she shattered it like most of his spells. Out of spite, he sent a few gallons of water at her. The water seemed to get through her defenses. She could not break the water up. Now his thoughts wandered to drowning the woman. But he thought better of it. How would he keep her still long enough? Not to mention it would take a ridiculous amount of magic to create that much water, and he didn't see a pool nearby. There was plenty of water near the tower. But again, that was too far away. "Gegol, walk away or die."
"You may be strong, Ford, but let's face facts. This fight is coming to an end." Gegol prepared to end the fight.
Jet, on the other hand, was going to end the fight. He had found his source of water. Now drowning her was out of the question. However, with the water mains and a small well nearby was enough. Everything burst at once, soaking everything and everyone in sight. So mostly the both of them. Jet used the remainder of his magic to send as much electricity through the area as possible. Enough that ten city blocks had electricity jumping from one building to another. Gegol could be heard for miles as she screamed. Jet was certain the scream was not only hers. After a few seconds, the entire town went dark. After the bright light of the electricity, it was too dark to see. However, he could hear someone moaning in the direction Gegol had been.
As Jet walked slowly towards Gegol, aircraft fell from the sky. He had managed to hit a few of them with his little lightning show. The town lit back up with explosions as they fell and hit the ground. Not that weren't plenty of burning buildings for light after their fight. He wondered where Alex had gone. When he finally got to Gegol, he winced at the sight. Her flesh was burnt beyond recognition. How she had lived, he had no idea. The view made Jet feel kind of sick. Jet didn't want to leave her like that. Lifting his sword, Jet stabbed her in the heart. "Do me a favor, don't come back to life."
Jet walked away and towards the Alteras Tower. Surely Gegol was his biggest threat to face. Because if she wasn't, he was screwed. He did not have anything left to fight more people. If he could, he would Jump back to Earth and not look back. It had been a mistake to stay on this world. Jet came to a stop when he heard clapping. Lord Joy walked out from behind a building. "Well done, that fight was magnificent."
"Oh good, what do you want, Joy?" Ok, Jet already knew what the man wanted. But, what he couldn't figure out was where Lord Joy's guards were. Too bad for Jet. He did not need any guards.
"To travel the universe, and I've waited for centuries. You aren't the first to come here in the last two centuries. But that stupid Alteras Tower helped you all escape. That is all in the past now. Made a few changes." Lord Joy seemed to be chatty.
"I see. That's what's going on. You're the one to blame for the time machine going wrong." Jet knew it wasn't an actual time machine. But he didn't know how to describe it any better. "This whole planet was set up to run ten times faster."
"That is quite amazing. You have discovered more about the Tower than most in this world." Lord Joy gave another small clap.
"I got a question."
"Sure, why not."
"If you wanted my Jump power, why didn't you take it when I landed in your house?" Jet thought it was a good question. Not to mention buying some time for his magic to charge.
"That was a bit of bad luck. I thought you three had teleported into my house. A fight that went too far and ended in my bathroom. I look back now and think. Why didn't I see what you were before." Lord Joy's fists were clenched tightly. The anger in his eyes spoke volumes at how much he hated that mistake.
Jet figured the conversation was over. Lord Joy's body made a slight movement towards Jet. He sent an earth spike at the man. He caught the tip with his bare hand. Jet teleported away, but Lord Joy still stood in front of him. He tried to jump back and tripped on a pipe. All his body enhancements had fallen off as soon as he landed, which brought about a lot of pain between his cracked bones and torn flesh. Jet was not having a good day. It was about to get far worse. Lord Joy kneeled next to Jet and placed a hand on his chest. "Ability steal." Jet screamed. It felt as if his body was being ripped apart. This went on for quite some time. After Lord Joy had finished, he frowned. "So, you have more than one ability. What a hassle. I'll keep trying until I get the right one. Ability re," Lord Joy jumped back when he felt an attack coming his way.
"Jet, I'm here." Alex flew down, grabbed Jet, and took off. She could not fly long with another person. So she basically hopped from rooftop to rooftop. She was trying to get away from Lord Joy.
