The Wheel
The Wheel is the cycle in which mana goes through. It bleeds into the Mundane through pinpricks in between the fabric of reality. These pinpricks are called souls. They dissipate life-force into the world, pooling it into a field of mana that protects it. The Aether is a field of Vital Energy that protects life, nurturing it. mana that does not have a tether goes to the Aether.
The Aether is a cusped hand trying to hold water. Drops inevitably slip through the cracks between fingers. mana seeps through the fabric between realities called the Veil. The Veil is a porous membrane between the Mundane and the Void (Nether).
The Void is the in-between of the next turn of the Wheel. The Void itself is a twisted semblance of the Aether. The Pale, a vortex that leads directly to the Astral waters of the soul Plane, pulls mana towards the next turn. It presents as the dividing line between the last vestiges of the Mundane and the beginning of the magical.
The Aether is a Plane of existence made of Life, mind, and other mana types. It is a composite plane intersecting most, if not all others, a bridge between realities.
The Void is made up of Void mana, a highly caustic type of mana close to the primordial essence of creation. The Void is also made up of other permutations of mana with high amounts of will, such as Blood mana.
