《Judah Judas Adventures》Chapter 101 - One sword piece - Part 1
Advertisement
I walk on this busy street which it is going to lead me to Misu's Tavern area. My business there it is to find a piece of sword which got lost due to an assassin who used a mallet to crash Ulfred sword into three pieces. I see a lot of people on this street, walking around, doing errands or just losing time by walking clueless on the streets, not being careful with the strangers it beholds at every corner.
I do still remember that one time, when I saw this danger on those street. An assassin who told me to be careful around these nobles or something. I don't really remember what was saying that assassin back then, but I was more focusing about the way that woman was brutally murder, in the middle of the street, in the middle of the day, surrounded by people who just looked at the poor lady, being stabbed all over her body.
While I walk on these busy street, I suddenly stopped because I heard that someone was calling y name from my right. I turned on that direction, and there I saw Gregonson, dressed like always in that weird orange dress. He never changed his clothes since I meet him for the first time.
"Judah. How are you doing on this blessing day?" asks Gregonson who has both of his eyes closed which means he is in a good mood.
"Good. I am actually on a mission to sear-" but then I shut my mouth with my hands because I almost forgot that nobody has to involve into this mission and this secret guild built by the kingdom and King himself.
"You are on a mission?"
"Y-Yes. I-I have to... search for a kitty and bring to a poor girl." I lied to Gregonson, and he is looking intimidating at me.
That look, it made me sweat and nervous at the same time. I was wondering if he knew that I was lying, or if he trusts me. Sure, searching for a cat it can be a mission, but for a little girl... This sounds more likely an errand than a real mission. My brain needs some creative lies after I was "feeding" him a lot of information from novels I am reading at this time.

"... Okay. Do you need any help in searching this cat?" asks Gregonson after a few seconds while he was looking at me with his closed eyes.
"No. I do actually know where it is, thanks to my "Vulture" magic spell." I responded to Gregonson.
"So, you finally managed to create a summoning spell?"
"How do you know about this spell type?" I asked him.
"Well, you are always using it. In fact, you used so many time in errands for other knights, or for Ron to search a "potential" girlfriend that the entire kingdom has decided to nickname you, Eagle-Boy." responds Gregonson on a such honest tone, that it made feel weird.
"Wow... And that it is because Ron always was looking for a girlfriend?"
"How many times you did it, anyway? I am curious about this, man."
"Just three times. And all three of them were failures." I told him.
"Hah." laughed Gregonson. "This little boy will never learn a lady heart, it is paved with hardships and understanding, not nasty thoughts."
"We are all at the same age, though." I told to myself because this is true, all three of us are about the same age.
"Anyway. You maybe should go and search for that cat. Goo luck and God's of Luck be on your side."
"Thanks, Gregonson. Have a good day." I told him this thing and then, we all go into different directions.
He goes to the south, while I am going on a fast walk to the Misu's Tavern, to see if that blade piece it is still there and nobody dared to touch it. If I think about it, how come nobody noticed a blade piece flying on this town? Was it to small or everybody was focussing on the same thing and didn't notice a flying, probably sharp object flying in the sky and landing on a roof? I do know this world has magic and all, but this can be ridiculous sometimes. Anyway, I should focus on the thing i have to do and not do an overthinking, because it isn't good for the brain.

I continue to walk on these street to Misu's Tavern, and there I am going to climb a building, then go to the roof of that building to take the broken sword piece. While I was looking on the streets, I encountered at a few me meters from me a child, who is surrounded by three big boys, and they talk to him in a bda language. I was wondering whose kids can do that, but then, after I look more closely at them, I could see that they are wearing noble clothes, and the kid is wearing poor clothes. I looked at them how they spit into that fallen kid, being covered in mud and crap... Furthermore, I couldn't stand there without doing anything, so I go to those bastards and told them this thing.
"Why don't you three takes someone at your size?"
"Seriously?" asked one of those noble kids to me, and all two of them are turning around to face me. "Are you the one at your size?"
"Probably much stronger than you two." I replied to that fat, noble kid request.
He laughed with his noble friends, then he faced me, took his dagger out, and he was close to jump at my neck, but I quickly took my wand out from belt, aimed at that noble with the knife and cast a slow speed which it made the noble kid move slower. The spell has hit the noble kid, and it made him run slow to me. He is running so slow, that not even a snail couldn't be much slower than him. I walk at a relative slow spell, took his knife out, threw it into a tree, and looked at those two noble kids, who are already shaking their legs. They were so afraid of me, that I have decided to give those two a nightmare. I aimed the wand to my hand, and cast the spell named "New Face" and imagined a demon face. After that, I laughed maniacally at those kids, who proceed to run away, crying like little babies and demanding protection. Then, I cancelled the spell on that dude without the knife, and scared him by applying a spell called "Frog" (launches a frog into a direction), and this scared the noble kid so much, it runs to his home. But the thing who made me angry was the fact that they didn't even apologize to him.
"T-Thank you, mister." says the kid who was recently bullied and came to me. "T-take this token as a gratitude." he wanted to give me a pretzel, who looks quite old, but instead of taking that piece of food, I gave the little kid a few coins and told him.
"Be careful around these streets."
"I will mister!" says the kid crying and looking very sad at me.
"How old are you?"
"Th-Three years old." says the kid to me.
"Three years old? Don't you have a mother? Or a father? Or a relative?"
"No, sir... I do not have anyone."
"Well... Do you want to live in an orphanage?"
"... What is an Orphanage?"
"Come." I told him while I raised my hand with the leather gloves. "I will show the house I was raised for a few years and where my life begun."
The little kid took my hand, and both of us, are walking to the streets which are conducting to the Orphanage I was raised there for a few years. And the place where I've got some amazing memories, meet good kids, and had someone taking care of me. While we were walking on to that Orphanage, the little kid asked me a few questions about the house I will lead him to live.

Yin-Yang
Mages in North America seem to have it all – typically from well-off families, and able to manipulate their environment in ways most of the world would never believe. They don’t even have to bother with the mundane details of life like housework, thanks to their sensitives, who also make a useful source for extra magical energy. After all, sensitives have no use for it themselves, and if mages weren’t meant to make use of it, then the sensitives would obviously have some way to prevent that. That a mage can transform a sensitive physically, with no restrictions beyond overall mass and basic biological viability, whereas magic tends not to work directly on any other living thing, is only further proof. And look at the way they live on their own, barely a step above animals. It’s better for them to belong to a mage. Sensitives in North America live on the edge of society and survival – typically so paranoid they avoid hospitals and anything else that could lead to being tracked, many of them with little or no education and no legal identity or existence. Mages exist, and mages want sensitives for some reason, but no one ever comes back to explain what that reason is. Waiting every day for the hunters to notice them doesn’t lead to much motivation or hope for the future. And once they’re captured, they’re the property of someone with a terrifying amount of power over them. Anything is better than capture. Mages are born to be the masters, and sensitives are born victims. Or are they? Jax’s life is turned upside-down when he’s caught by the hunters and sold to a mage. Andreas is still mourning for his previous sensitive, though, unconsciously creating a difficult standard for Jax to live up to, all the more so while still struggling to come to terms with this new reality as Andreas’ sensitive. A runaway sensitive isn’t what Van expects at the mental health centre. Is this a hunter trap, set for him and the rest of the Donovan family by the hunters? The hunters would, after all, love to see them cross the line openly and finally do something they can be charged with. Either way, Miranda’s genuinely in trouble, and he can’t just abandon her to it. Snatching a sensitive out from under the hunters and hiding her is odd behaviour for a mage – but then, Catherine is an odd mage, living in disgrace in the old servants’ quarters of her grandmother’s house, responsible for cooking and housework. Lila owes Catherine her freedom; is there a way to help Catherine achieve her own, and at what price? Tension is building between traditionally-minded mages and those advocating change, and something has to break. *** Yin-Yang includes a small amount of profanity and no graphic sex or on-screen physical violence. However, sex and gender roles and relationships within the mage/sensitive subculture are non-traditional in mainstream North American terms. The key criterion in a primary relationship is not relative sex or gender, but the pairing of mage and sensitive; given the transformation of sensitives by their mages, physical sex is non-absolute for a sensitive, and gender identity can vary as in anyone else. *** *** The way mages treat sensitives is extremely varied and, in some cases is outright abusive. The struggle against that is pretty much the point of the book. It is NOT grimdark or misery-porn! However, if you will be triggered by this, please, don't read Yin-Yang! *** Complete stand-alone novel, 153K words! Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.
