Right now, inside said forest, a handsome man, who looked no older than twenty, dressed in a black robe, stood face to face with three bears.

Staring at the huge bears in front of him, all of which radiated a completely bloodthirsty aura, Ma Qi suddenly felt a tinge of regret for travelling through this forest.

Without any warning, Ma Qi's suddenly jumped toward the bears, not letting them make the first move.

In only a fraction of a moment, Ma Qi had jumped one hundred meters through the air, reaching the bears, and let out several spear strikes before the monsters could react.

Looking at the tiny human, who was feebly stabbing him with his spear, veins couldn't help but appear on the corner of He Wei's bear face.

This was the first thought that entered Ma Qi's body as soon as he regained consciousness.

Sadly though, only a few minutes after regaining consciousness, Ma Qi lost it once again, as his body slowly but surely began drying up.

But even, Ma Qi did not give up fighting, as he continued persevering, using all of his will to fight the monster which was trying to devour him.

Sadly though, after a long night of battle, the monster took finally stopped toying with its prey, as it then fully devoured Ma Qi.

Looking at the nearly dried-up body of the young man, who was sitting on the bed next to her, Xia Jingfei couldn't help but faintly smile, as a relaxed expression appeared on her face.

After a few moments, Xia Jingfei stretched out her hand towards Ma Qi's fingers, as she then took off the unassuming black ring that the latter had been wearing.

"Another genius with a senior in a ring, is it some sort of trend that I was unaware of?" mumbled Xia Jingfei as she suddenly ripped the old soul out of the ring and placed it in her mouth.

A few moments later, Xia Jingfei had fully devoured the soul, all of its memories, experiences and emotions, making it a part of her.
