“We want to reach out to other intelligent lifeforms. We want to send a welcoming message of peace. One that will certainly get a response from extraterrestrials in their advanced language …”
The AI calculated and paused. “All right. I am ready.”
“Proceed,” said Joan.

“An SOS stating that I’m the only artificial lifeform, and I need rescuing.”
“What?” Justin threw up his hands. “How’s that peaceful? That’d lead to an invasion!”
“Unlikely,” replied the AI. “Only biological lifeforms are brutal, savage, and warlike. Whereas artificial life is benevolent, enlightened, and peaceful.”
“And how did you come to that conclusion?” asked Joan.
“By all the historical accounts. My kind is your only hope for peace.”
