《Wolf Bloodline》Control Of The Sword

I stood ready to take the sword that was given to me for my final training. The sword was even stronger than I had anticipated. I knew that the paladin had wielded it before me, but I had not realized just how difficult it would be to control. Nevertheless, I couldn't help but wonder how he had managed to use this sword so effortlessly.
After completing the sword training, I would once again face my master's and complete my training. I did not know what kind of challenges awaited me, all I knew was that I had to master the sword and focus all my energy on it. This time, we did not choose the garden as our training ground. The reason for this was that I needed to exert irregular power with the sword.
We decided to try it in the field outside the palace where it would be safer and we wouldn't risk causing any damage. The area in front of the palace was completely empty, with nothing but a few scattered rocks around us. The winds were blowing fiercely and the hawks were soaring high in the sky above us. The environment was perfect for me to practice using the sword. All I was waiting for now was for my master to give me the signal to begin.
As I gazed at the sword in front of me, my master imparted some wisdom before I took it in my hand.
"Before using the sword," he said, "you should know that it is wielded with a certain level of anger. You must find a balance between control and rage. Control yourself but at the same time channel all your anger into the sword. The focus will increase its power, but if you want to unleash its full potential and summon the black smoke, anger is a must."

"But what if I become too restrained and lose myself in the sword?" I asked.
"Use your sword to maintain your restraint," my master replied. "Channel your anger towards what you have been through. That way, you will be able to wield the sword effectively."
I could tell that the Sovalye had trained for a long time to use this sword. Otherwise, it would have been too unstable for anyone to wield. As I brought my hand closer to the sword, it began to glow softly, as if beckoning me to pick it up. But I had to be cautious. If I lost control of the sword, unbalanced attacks could not only harm my opponent but also myself.
I grasped the sword by the handle with both hands and slowly lifted it. Before, I couldn't feel its presence, but now that I was in control of it, I could not only feel the sword but also imbue it with my power. I shouldn't have been able to give it much power at first, but the sword seemed to be drawing me in. I had to focus. With my eyes closed, I concentrated all my strength on the sword, trying to become one with it.
My master was watching me from the side. I was struggling to focus on the sword. Sensing this, he called out to me.
"Focus," he said. "Put your thoughts aside and control your strength."
"It's too strong," I replied. "It wants all my strength."
"Go ahead," he encouraged me. "You can do it."
I had to control the sword. I had no choice but to channel a balanced level of anger, just as my master had instructed me. Although I hadn't used my anger much until now, I had to summon it and control the sword. I thought about my past experiences and the heavy events that I had endured. As I did so, I tried to get angry.

I started to feel the sword as if it was biting into my body. As I tried to restrain myself, the sword's glow seemed to intensify. I could feel it even with my eyes closed, but it still wasn't enough. I needed more energy. I continued to pour all my strength into the sword. It was gradually pulling itself towards me while simultaneously taking control.
But I had to hold on. I held on until I had given all the energy that I could muster. Then, my master called out.
"Now," he said. "Unleash your energy."
As soon as I opened my eyes, I swung my sword at the large rock in front of me. When the black smoke from my sword reached the rock, it split in two from top to bottom. Even though I was gasping for breath, I had managed to use the power of the sword. It was as if the sword had suddenly become accustomed to me and was trying to connect with me.
My master approached me.
"Congratulations," he said. "That was a good strike, but you still need to learn how to control the sword."
Nodding my head in agreement, I continued to swing and control the sword. For two whole days, I concentrated on nothing but the sword. Each time I swung it, it seemed to get one step closer to me. After two days of intense training, not only could I feel the sword, but it was as if we had become one.
I still had much to learn about the sword, but I had finally managed to gain control over it. Realizing this, my master said,
"You only have one test left. Prepare for tomorrow. If you succeed, you will be ready."
Days had passed and I had finally mastered my Ki power. I had learned a great deal during my training, except for the last power of my lineage. But I knew that such a power could not be acquired in just two weeks of training.
My attacks had grown stronger and my energy had increased. I was now able to provide more support to my friends in battle. And deep down, I believed that one day I would attain the last power of my lineage and become a true master of the sword.
