Staring at the dead body of the old man, Li Fengfeng couldn't help but be greatly surprised.

Upon noticing that Ling Yun had been targeted by a curse, Li Fengfeng had been prepared to try to help her out, but to his great surprise, Old Man Seven Poison's actually removed it himself before he died.

After shaking his head, Li Fengfeng turned his attention to Ling Fan and approached him.

"Fellow Daoist, thanks a lot, you saved me a lot of effort," said Ling Fan as the bowl of the Seven Heaven's Holy Water floated over to him, being then quickly deposited into his spatial ring.

Hearing Ling Fan's words, Li Fengfeng shook her head.

"I didn't have to spend much effort, so you don't need to be so grateful," said Li Fengfeng, causing Ling Fan to nod.

"So, what brought Fellow Daoist here?" asked Ling Fang, slightly narrowing his eyes as he watched Ling Yun slowly but surely wake up.

Hearing Ling Fan's words, a somewhat embarrassed expression appeared on Li Fengfeng's face.

"Actually Fellow Daoist Ling, I'm here for your help," said Li Fengfeng, causing the frown on Ling Fan's face to grow.

Sometime later,

Listening to the finishing words of Li Fengfeng, Ling Fan's frown grew even deeper, causing him to shake his head a moment later.

"I'm sorry fellow Daoist Li, although there wasn't any real friendship between me and Fellow Daoist Xia, we were still part of the same team, as such, I can't begin hunting her down in good consciousness, I am sure that my sister would respond to you in the same way," said Ling Fan he looked at Li Fengfeng.

Hearing Ling Fan's words, a faint smile appeared on Li Fengfeng's face.

"Since that's so, then I won't disturb fellow Daoist any longer," said Li Fengfeng as he cupped his fist, flying away a few moments later.

Looking at the departing figure flying through the air, a frown once again appeared on Ling Fan's face as he fell into thought.

'It's better if we don't get involved with those two, otherwise, things could end up troublesome,' thought Ling Fan as he suddenly looked at Ling Yun, who had just opened her eyes once again.

Without any warning, Ling Yun suddenly got up from the ground with a cautious look on her face, that look only disappeared after she saw the dead body of the old man nearby, which had been smashed to pieces by a punch.

"Brother, did something happen whilst I was unconscious?" asked Ling Yun as she slowly let her guard down whilst looking at her brother's tired face.

"Nothing much, I just made sure to eliminate the old man before he could do anything else, thankfully though, the old man stopped his curse a moment before his death," said Ling Fan, causing Ling Yun to nod.

"Now that we have the Seven Heaven's Holy Water we should go somewhere else, this place is sure to attract unwanted attention," said Ling Yun, prompting Ling Fan to take out a void ship from his spatial ring.

Only a fraction of a moment after the two cultivators entered it, the void ship disappeared.

Several years later, inside a certain temple,

Li Fengfeng, alongside several Buddhist Monks, stood together, right now, all of the monks were listening to Li Fengfeng speak, grave expressions appearing on their faces.

"Reverends, I am sure that you are well aware of how much chaos leaving this demoness alive would cause," said Li Fengfeng whilst staring at the several stoic faces of the monks.

After a few moments of thinking, the leading monk slowly nodded his head.

"Do not worry Venerable, this scourge will not be able to continue living as it pleases, we shall let her repent, but if she does not repent, we will enact judgment on her," said the monk, causing a heavy aura to flood the room.

"As it should be," mumbled Li Fengfeng, satisfied with the response of the monks.

"Fellow Daoist Meng, I will pay you back the rest of the price in the future, you have my word," said Xia Jingfei as she stared at the formation surrounding the small Taoist Temple.

Unlike the previous formation, which had been created by Xia Jingfei, whose understanding of formation came from devouring a few weak formation masters, this one was created by Meng Lin with pure defensive power in mind.

"You don't have to worry about paying me back right away, you can wait some more time," said Meng Lin, causing Xia Jingfei to shake her head.

"Do not worry Fellow Daoist Meng, the payment will come soon," said Xia Jingfei, when suddenly, the look on her face changed for a brief moment.

"Did something happen?" asked Meng Lin as she looked at Xia Jingfei, feeling somewhat curious.

"No, I just noticed something," mumbled Xia Jingfei as she fell into thought for a few moments, seemingly wanting to decide on something.

Seeing this, a bad feeling emerged within Meng Lin.

"Since fellow Daoist Xia said so, I will be on my way," said Meng Lin before beginning to fly away.

"Very well," mumbled Xia Jingfei, gritting her teeth whilst walking into the small Taoist temple.

Seeing this, Meng Lin quickly got moving and flew into the distance, no longer daring to stay in this weird place, leaving only Xia Jingfei alone with her three so-called disciples.

The moment Meng Lin went far enough away, a dozen figures suddenly appeared surrounding the small Taoist Temple, Li Fengfeng as well as some Buddhist monks.

Sadly though, the formation which Meng Lin had managed to create successfully blocked their way, giving Xia Jingfei enough time to do what she needed to.

"It's a real pity that this had to happen so soon," mumbled Xia Jingfei, a small tear falling out of her left eye, as three tentacles spread out from her body, stretching to her now frozen disciples.

Without any hint of resistance, the three disciples died, having been absorbed by Xia Jingfei.

The moment Xia Jingfei absorbed those three, distinct changes took place inside of her.

"If only they had some more time to grow before I had to absorb them," mumbled Xia Jingfei as she felt the change bought to her by absorbing the disciples.
