To me, magic is an essential part of the fantasy genre, so, of course, there is magic in the Five Kingdoms universe. In short, the Five Kingdoms universe is the setting of epic fantasy stories with deep characters and world-building. The short version of why I dropped it is because even the shortest form of my outlining resulted in a main plot of at least 300 - 400 chapters and I messed up massively by directly adapting it from my first attempt at this, which was a choose your own adventure on another website. It did not make the jump well at all imo.
