Chapter 41 - The Great Orc Invasion III
Claudio Valeth was shining the border with great magic. It was a light show that amazed the eye, however, the ones on the receiving end were being killed precipitously. The Archmage is taking this seriously whilst under great restriction. Emir Sarjace looked at the middle of the wide border and saw that Claudio had only tempered his attack on that part. He had done that so none of the spells would inflict friendly fire or disrupt the protected region that each individual was responsible for.
In a horizontal line spread across the entire border between Hollow World and Erebus were nine souls responsible for the defense against The Great Orc Invasion.
Dragonified, Emir Sarjace was wielding his Dragon Heart through sheer dominance befitting that of a Force Master. Radian was an Ancient Dragon who mastered all tiers of the Arcane, not just that, his Dragon Tongue was one of the most powerful forces to be seen in this world. What the Golden Dragon was remembered for was his perfected mastery of light and dark magic, or, in other words, extreme yin and yang energy. His energy was so powerful that it could attract monsters from all over the world. Such power was harnessed in the body of the ancient Desert Sword Saint.
“Death Dimension,” Emir Sarjace swung his Elder Sword and a black and red wave scarred the environment. It was a powerful technique that utilized the aspects of space and distortion.
Dragon Aura Techniques: [Death Dimension] -Releases extreme negative energy that continuously damages and paralyzes enemies whilst teleporting the enemy into the air open for delivering a slash. Causes HP, MP, and AP damage. Rank: EX Proficiency: 93%
Much like the skill, Double Scintilla, which was performed by Glenn, it had reduced the Orcs by 50,000. With the desert prince, this technique had cut the enemy to half of that. I will pour every ounce of this Dragon Heart. His Majesty, the Emir of Hollow World would have this chance to find out the potential of a Dragon Heart that he did not deign to do thousands of years ago. If I had relinquished my pride, would I have found a way to break this curse? The Desert Sword Saint shook his head. Such useless thoughts. What I should be focused on is what is in front of me.
The desert prince had a resolve he could see through until the very end. And as such, he would speak only with action from now on.
“Million Slash,” a prolific move that was seen thousands of years ago made the Desert Sword Saint the famous prince that he is to this date.
Sword Techniques: [Royal Soul Swordsmanship - Million Slash] -The specialty of a Talwar is the ability to slash, not just that, such weapons have a long reach and a slight curve for maximum efficiency. Although the Talwar might not be as sharp as a Katana, it makes up for it by reaching as many enemies as possible. The Desert Sword Saint had perfected such an aspect of the Talwar and brought it to a Divine Realm level. One of the few sword skills that inspired all warriors during the prince’s time was that even basic sword techniques could be brought to the level of a demigod. Rank: EX Proficiency: 127%
In sequence, another technique was executed, “Dragon Aspect Formation.”
Dragon Aura Techniques: [Dragon Aspect Formation] -Sword Formation created with the mana from a Dragon Heart. The Aura-infused swords created from Dragon Aura can be summoned as far as the eyes can see and unleash a natural catastrophe of extreme swordsmanship combined with extreme (pure) energy. Rank: EX Proficiency: 120%

These two moves alone were what made Emir Sarjace world-renowned. Million Slash was a basic swordsmanship technique that any talented swordsman could do, however, the prince had elevated that skill for himself to extreme proportions. For such a basic skill to be given glory had made it a technical move worthy to be as valuable as an Ultimate Technique.
As for Dragon Aspect Formation, it is a newly created technique that Sarjace had devised quite recently. Originally, the Desert Sword Saint is known to fight with the Elder Sword, and 4 Sword Formation was made to replicate the user’s weapon with mana. He had always used this skill when fighting dangerous foes. Most of the time, Emir Sarjace seldom used the Sword Formation technique due to his becoming powerful over time so that barely any opponents could keep up with his sophisticated style of fighting.
Unlike the standard Sword Formation created from one’s Internal Force, a Dragon Aura-infused one had set the skill to a whole another dimension. Not only was the Aura much greater than ever before, but the application had made this skill easily able to wipe out at least 100,000 Orcs.
And, this number was true as the section of the battlefield that the Desert Sword Saint was responsible for was enveloped by countless Dragon Aspect Formation swinging and spinning and causing extreme energy dispersion which causes a chain reaction. Much like Claudio Valeth and his light show of magic capable of rivaling a demigod’s power, Emir Sarjace had also produced a light show of his own in a spectacular sense of Sword Formation cutting and slicing the Peak Realm Orcs like they were butter.
With all this said, both skills consumed a lot of MP and Sarjace had yet to find out if all his Internal Force would be consumed before slaying all the Orcs in his region. Almost half of my Force is gone. But, I can feel it… The Dragon Heart, and Mana Breathing Method, these two alone refill the pool. Fortunately, the Desert Sword Saint had a mana recovery rate of 200%, meaning, a steady flow of pure chi was being produced not just by the Dragon Heart, but also, from the Final Purification Chi Method, albeit, produced at the quarter of its fullest potential. Essentially, Emir Sarjace had two magnificent devices per se that could regenerate his Internal Force in mere moments. Slowly, the desert prince was beginning to become one of the top characters in the world. A true monster in the making.

A Martial God is a being who can kill by simply emitting their energy or by killing intent. In the eyes of the scientific, such people are perceived as the ones who surpass level 99. Calavera, the Legendary Valhalla Knight, was destined to become such a person.
“Million Thrust,” much like Emir Sarjace who had evolved a basic skill to the Divine Realm, so too did Calavera. With his golden Dragon Bones glinting as sunlight brilliantly reflects its lustrous material, the Valhalla Knight was busy fulfilling what he needed to do. “Hmph!” He was straightforward and said very few words. Unless you were a close friend of his, Calavera would only speak when spoken to.
Spear Techniques: [Million Thrust] -The specialty of a spear is its long reach and penetration efficiency. Aside from a rapier that is also specialized in penetration, a spear is the most ideal weapon in this aspect. Calavera had evolved the spear’s thrusting capabilities to the Divine Realm and had made the standardized skill popular for all spear-wielding practitioners. Rank: EX Proficiency: 127%
Advertisement
He was just like the desert prince in terms of character, although, in a more rugged and shrewd way. Calavera is a northerner, a Nord native to snowy mountain peaks and four seasons. But, he had traveled far from his home in search of “Valhalla.” This is all said to say that the ancient Spear Saint is a person born with a Natural Martial Body. If he had trained in martial arts and applied it in countless battles for the rest of his years, he would eventually be on the level of a Grandmaster. That is to say, Calavera had it much easier to become someone who could cross the Mystic Realm.
When the ancient Spear Saint traveled to the red sands of Hollow World, he was but a measly prisoner taken by the Sarjace Royal Tribe. His crime was illegally smuggling into their part of the kingdom thousands of years ago. Over time, he clawed his way out of slavery and paved a way for himself through fighting.
However, the defining difference between the Spear Saint and the Desert Sword Saint was that a Legendary Valhalla Knight was comparable to a Judge. Officially, one would need to master six standard job classes. Calavera is proficient with every weapon type and an all-around Mage, though, the Spear Saint seldom uses magic since he’s a purist. This is what separates him and Emir Sarjace.
Coming full circle, Calavera was definitely born to become a Martial God, given that he does the work and lives a long life. Naturally, leveling above 99 was bound to happen for someone like him, that’s why he has it easier.
“Primordial Arbor,” being a purist, Calavera is also a pure-hearted warrior. He had a thirst for battle, much like Gerald Killeway, Demon Lord Slayer, and Dual Sword Saint. Being in the company of such characters made Calavera’s blood boil.
Ultimate Techniques: [Primordial Arbor] -The weapon that the Legendary Valhalla Knight wields is an ancient Artifact dated since the time of the Mystics. Can only be wielded by those who were born with the Natural Martial Body. Unleashes intense Non-Elemental (extreme yin/extreme yang) Force that makes mana crackle. It is unknown who has crafted such a divine weapon. Rank: EX Proficiency: 120%
Ever since His Majesty, Emir Sarjace, had decided to fully use the Dragon Heart, Calavera had no idea how to catch up. This was the last Ultimate Technique that was not maxed to 130% in proficiency. The reason is that there were not many times to use it and there was a great drawback to the Ultimate Technique.
Ptoot! Calavera spat some blood out from his mouth. Normally, people would collapse by executing skills beyond what the body could do, but, his newfound vessel of a Death Noble mixing with the Natural Martial Body enabled the Spear Saint to perform this Ultimate Technique a couple of times before passing out. Moreover, a massive amount of MP and AP were required for the move, Primordial Arbor. Thankfully, Calavera had an ocean’s worth of Internal Force.
“Let’s go again!” In another series of Ultimate Techniques, the ancient Spear Saint’s onslaught of grey energy was the brightest on the field. And so, the Orcs were blasted with energy too potent for their magical bodies to endure even if they had high resistance to mana.

Quasar remembered his loss to Azad clearly, although, the Dragon’s consciousness had only manifested during the end of their battle. Aurora Realm. Quasar thought that the Blu Language magic that Azad used to fight against the Ancient Non-Elemental Dragon was the defining reason why he had lost. Not just that, it was an A.O.E. spell out of all things, since, Quasar was known worldwide to be the best in environmental spells, buffs, and debuffs.
“Grey Dimension,” the ancient Wyrm unleashed an attack that affected the whole environment. Suddenly, the skies rayed sunshine, and light (yin) energy was exacerbated in the atmosphere. This was a Dragon Language spell that boosts all allies and debuffs enemies.
Dragon Breath: [Grey Dimension]
-Changes the environment into a light plane that buffs all allies and debuffs enemies. Applies status buffs; Haste, Faith, Bravery, Regen, Protect, Reflect, Shell, Float, and Aura to all allies. Debuffs all enemies with Mute, Immobilize, Disable, Break, Countdown, Slow, and Stop,
-Appearing rarely in the world, the times Quasar had made appearances had always left a mark. The Non-Elemental Ancient Dragon is world-renowned for having the best Dragon Tongue in status effects (buffs & debuffs).
Rank: EX Proficiency: 130%
Instantly, the hundreds of thousands of Peak Realm Orcs were affected by the status debuffs in the entire battlefield, stretching for miles away. Some were afflicted with half, some with all status afflictions, in the end, it was a slaughterhouse waiting to happen.
“How tedious,” Quasar thought that the Orcs were a trifle and treated them as such. When I acquire my original power, you will have hell to answer, Cepheid! Apparently, the Ancient Dragon had a quarrel with his younger brethren.
Quasar had fought the heavily afflicted Orcs by blasting his grey flaming breath and razor-sharp claws capable of ripping the world apart. The battle was quite a novelty as the Ancient Dragon slew Orcs with one hit. There wasn’t a single one of them that either was beheaded or cut into multiple pieces.
At least a quarter of my power would return after this battle. Each of the nine guardian souls was responsible for blocking approximately 100,000 Orcs as they were the areas that could sustain such a number, excluding the middle where Claudio Valeth and Glenn Courtwell are at.
“To think I would grow excited at the thought to reclaim my power!!” The draconic dance executed by the Ancient Dragon and his golden claws was all that could be seen in this region of the battle. Having a disinterested expression, there were no mistakes when it came to performing in battle.
There was nothing particularly special about how Quasar went about this Great Orc Invasion, given the fact that a thing such as this was a “trifle” to begin with, his avaricious need for power is what fueled him while alive. In this second shot at life, Quasar had treated this battle to regain his former glory, nothing more, nothing less. Ultimately, his patience had hidden the grand scheme that was playing in his head - revenge on those who conspired to kill and poison his glorious self.

The Emperor's Chef
"Cook like your life depends on it, kid. Because it does." Charles had an enviable future lined up for him. Training from the age of five by some of the finest chefs in the world. Schooling at a top culinary academy in the capital. An honorable position as heir to House Boulier, a line of merchant-lords who have charmed the rich and powerful with their cooking for centuries. And in a single night, it all burned to ash. When the outbreak of war destroys his hometown, Charles is charged with escorting his family’s sacred treasure—a recipe book passed down for untold generations—out of harm's way. But his simple mission grows complicated when he’s captured by one of the most feared battalions in the world: the Spears of Mercy. Life as a prisoner in their war camp is brutal and uncertain. Charles has few allies and even fewer strengths to rely on. Only his skills in the culinary arts, honed over a lifetime in the kitchen, are deemed useful enough to keep him alive another day. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. If you like the story so far and you're interested in being an early reviewer for the final product, feel free to message me. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.

Her name is Rohdindae, it comes from the Silmarillion and loosely translates to Horse of the Silent Shadows. The people I met, stories I listened to, and the loves I saw grow, all find themselves here, mixed within these pages. It was then did John use a dark magic that did he got them out of that situation. But in exchange for the princess's safety, John Sarvod was exiled from A'vetheas for using 'demon magic'. What will he do after the life he knew was uprooted and taken away from him? Will the 'demon magic' that caused his exile from the Elven Tribe bring him into a slow descent into madness? Book 2 description: Having found a life for himself outside of A'vetheas, a family, enrolled to a good school, and a potential romantic partner, John Sarvod continues on with his life the best he could, carrying himself forward, until... He messes it all up again. This time, however, it isn't because of his magic. It was by his own demerit. What is the cause of despair? Find out in Consignor Book 2. Old description (Without spoiler) John Sarvod, user of the most powerful healing spell [Heal], the rare ability to heal and recover all injuries, is the only human that lives in the Elven Tribe. Though he was gifted with [Heal], he could not cast any magic other than his one and only [Heal]. Aside from his current training to become a royal scribe, he is known to all elves as the ‘Healer of A’vetheas’ and had gained a certain amount of respect from them due to how much he works. But life for him in the Elven Tribe, A’vetheas wasn't never always like this. Because he was human, and that the Elves have isolated themselves from the outside world, his presence initially was not welcomed by the elves that thinks highly of him today. It was all thanks to the Elven Queen who brought him in, and the Elven Princess, Raina Valindra Eridi, that he could reach this day. But things changed when the Raina that he so adored used the teleportation device for a small date with him, where they met with danger that the [Heal] that he relied all this time could not save him from… In his desperate attempts to save Raina, John ended up committing a taboo of the elves. As for his punishment when he returned to A’vetheas? That was just the beginning of him, continuing the path that he had inevitably taken prior to the life he had before he lived in A’vetheas. This is a story of a not too average person end up becoming something that he could have never imagined. A monster? A demon? A god? Only time will tell. It is just a matter of time that John Sarvod would embrace his true self. Content Warning because I want to have flexibility, and maybe it gets overwhelming at times. I have a backlog already, this story won't be dropped. Edited: romance tag to action tag, story has more or less of both, but yeah. There's slice of life tagged in because my story progresses not too quickly (by my opinion) I like to take things slow, I suppose. :3
