《Tales Of The Dark Mage: New Moon| Part I》Chapter 84:The New Queen & King Saga | Act II : The Rise Of The New Queen (Episode 4)

Zea: I am curious, what kind of spell she was going to cast. Sora: My guess it’s probably something that drains most of her mana or something equivalent to it. Brok: Now I think back, the blueprints I gave them weren't the final product, it was more like a rough draft. Justin walked over to us, and he seemed proud of himself. He has some pep to his step, this is surely a huge confidence booster and some good development.
Justin: Woo! Brok: Well I be damned, skinny cunt! You actually pulled it off. Justin: Shid! I couldn’t believe it myself. I just wanted to deter her. Zea: You definitely had the impact. Justin: Saber, were you impressed? Artoria gave some thought as she smiled at Justin but then started shaking her head, then thought about it some more. Artoria: I’m conflicted how shall I deliver the answer.
Justin: Give me the absolute truth, I can take it. Artoria: Oh, really? Sora: Oh, no. Artoria: Well then, for starters you’re painfully predictable, you didn’t adjust, you weren't calm in a high stress situation, your attacks were painfully telegraph, you starting up your spells are as slow as molasses, and you were punished for that.
Justin: Oh. Artoria: Also, I can tell you were thinking too much about your new spells and magic types. Justin: Well, they had… Artoria: Nope. Be decisive and concise, your defense is lacking by a lot. Your attack power doesn't mean nothing if you cannot defend, and you expect to be a S-class mage? Justin: But I was blocking. Artoria: Ah! You think blocking is defense? Then you’re sadly miseducated about proper battle. It’s better to dodge or counter your opponent. Turn they’re strength into weakness. Justin: Hey! That's what Ryder says all the time in his sideline post-game interviews.
Artoria: Ryder is competent, he has vision. Great vision. He knows how to lead people around to create the perfect scenario. Brok: And the lad got some real good speed to him. Artoria: It’s surplus decent. Along with his strength. Justin: Anything positive? Sora: Oof. Artoria: Sora, since you want to keep making remarks about this, you’re next. Sora: I kinda have an excuse. Artoria: Anything positive to say to you Justin…no there’s nothing to applaud you for. Brok: Damn! Ease up on the lot. He’s just getting started, you know! Zea: Well, the only reason she’s doing this is because he asked for the absolute truth. Sora: She has harsh criticism, but she did go easy on him, Brok. Well compared to me. Brok: But Pisspot, she didn’t have to dig in to lad like that.
Justin: It’s all good. She’s just being honest, that's all. I shall take in that criticism of hers and do my best to be better. Brok: That’s the spirit cunt! Justin: Valencia, that was your doing right? Sora: Vivi? Valencia seemed super spaced out, like she’s in this daze. I tapped her on the shoulder, and she snapped back to reality. Valencia: Oh, sorry! Were you talking to me? Sora: Yeah, Justin asked a question. Valencia: What’s the question? Justin: I'm just saying, was that what you're doing? With armor and stuff, it’s hard to tell while in here. Valencia: Yeah, that was me. Justin: Why? Like, why give it to somebody like me? You could’ve given it to Sora or someone else that’s stronger. Valencia: Well, it’s an armor that hasn’t been used really since like a hundred years or so. I was going to destroy it, out of spite to show all the past kings and queens that I don’t give a damn about their legacy or accomplishments.
Brok: Whoa there, now! Valencia: What? Brok: I made some good quality stuff for your family, well…technically now for you…but that’s beside the point I’m trying to make. You can destroy all the other stuff you want, but don’t destroy my creations. Valencia: Then you have my word then, I will not destroy any of the stuff you made. Brok: Have you seen the armory lately? Anything new? Valencia: Just old stuff. Brok: Tell you what, I’ll make some new stuff. I haven’t really made anything that made me umm… Sora: I believe the word is innovate. Brok: You always were a fucking know-it-all! Using big fancy words! But it’s not your fault being around royals and… Saber… over here stressing to the lad, of the need of a useless so-called expansive vocabulary.
Artoria: You were saying, Brok? Before you got on this nugatory tangent of yours. Sora: Nugatory? I haven’t heard that in awhile. Justin: Nugatory? Brok: I was saying! Valencia, I can make some great stuff, you know. You’re not feeling that blade of yours, I fixed up? Valencia: I will definitely use it. But… Brok: But you prefer multiple weapons, did I get that right? Valencia: Practically, umm…I like to… Justin: Throwing knives and hit and run cutting people up play-style instead of kicking someone's ass up and close with your fists. Valencia: I’ll do that as well, I did that for my few games playing for the CLMC.
Justin: What changed? Valencia: What do you mean? I have more than a couple knockouts playing for this team. Justin: You should do it more. Valencia: If you say so. Brok: You want throwing knives? Valencia: I have a bunch of them. The problem is always retrieving them or they break on impact. Justin: Why not elemental knives? Valencia: I have to spend time making them, and plus you can’t retrieve them and you waste mana creating them. I make sure they are high quality so that’s more time and mana needed. Brok: Maybe a chain can work? No, I got something else in mind. Valencia: I already have some, but I have to stay close. Brok: Actually, I got something in mind. But the materials…we should have terranite, galephite…we should have the others. What’s that one? Shit! No…that’s impossible. Brok ponders in a circle and just mutters to himself for a bit.
Justin: You figured it out? Brok: Horseface, shush your trap real quick, I’m thinking here! Zea: Do you need a certain material, I can obtain whatever it is? Brok: Thanks for the offer but I think…I have to pass on that. Because I believe we have everything. Hold up! Pisspot! Sora: Yeah, Brok? Brok: Whatcha do with that umm… Sora: Black stone? Brok: No…what the fuck was it? Sora: The white gem? Emeralds? Brok: No, no. What the fuck is it?! Sora: Kyba? Brok: No! Valencia: The Junno gem? Brok: Yes! That’s it! How didja know? Valencia: Umm…my dad, lost one in the house, he gave some background on it while he was searching for it. It’s great at binding and enhancing weapons and tools. Brok: And it can repair my repair kits. Pisspot, is there any? Sora: Did you check vault seventy-three? Brok: I don’t remember seeing it. Valencia: How many do you need? Brok: Preferably three or four. But I can definitely work with one. Valencia: Understood. Valencia got up and walked forward a bit, just ahead of Justin. And she reached forward and turned around and had four pearly white with a mixture of frosted teal gemstones.
Brok: What the fuck? Valencia: Got it. Justin: What did you do? Valencia: Essentially… well to keep it simple. I asked for it and I got it. Justin: You had that in your dimensional bag? Of all the things to keep in there. Especially with the limited space. Zea: It’s not that at all. Brok went to V, and collected the gems, and gave it to Justin for a bit. Brok reached in his pocket and opened the cabin door and then pulled out this silver pellet, and threw it inside. A bunch of metal clanking can be heard inside. The holes in the cabin are being covered up with steel as we speak.

Justin: What the fuck? Is this shit repairing itself? Sora: Pretty sure, that’s Brok’s workstation pellet, if there’s anything around it damaged, it will be patched up with a certain material, depending on the pellet, in this case it’s steel. Justin: Did he invent that? Brok kicked the door open and had his blacksmith hammer and turkey wing in hand. Brok: Of course I fucking made it! Brok took a bite out of his turkey wing, and put it in his black blacksmith pouch. Brok quickly took the gemstones from Justin and headed back inside.
Artoria: And he’s doing something more meaningful with his time. Justin: Where did he get the big ass turkey wing? Artoria: Don’t question it, if you ask him, he’s going to say trade secret or something vulgar as always. Justin looked around and then made a fist and slammed it on his palm. Justin: So, I Saber have a question. Artoria: Speak. Justin: Well, you saw your friends being killed and you don’t seem to be upset.
Artoria: When you've been around and participated in a bunch of wars, you’ll get somewhat used to it, sadly. And what’s the point of getting upset about it right now? The ones responsible are not here, but when the time comes, then I will strike them down. They’ve stolen something that should never be in their possession. Justin: So what was it, they exactly stole? Sora: They’ve stolen Ali and Edwin’s amplifier orbs. Justin: It’s their stuff, so could they really use it, and what exactly are the orbs?
Artoria: As the name suggests they amplify a person's power by a lot. Depending on a person’s orb. For instance my amplifier orb is undisputedly the strongest one out of everyone else’s. Justin: What makes yours special, other than being the strongest? Sora: Her’s is special because of what it does to her, when she’s at her full power. You wouldn’t think it’s the same person. Hopefully you never see it. Justin: Why? Sora: Because if something forces her to use it then we’re all in trouble. Justin: Oh? You think she wins, if that comes? Artoria: Of course. But master, are you admitting that you will never surpass me? She humbly smiles with that condescending expression.
Sora: Oh? I was talking about an enemy. But I already surpassed you. I stood up and got right in front of Artoria, and she just couldn’t stop laughing. Artoria: How many times do I have to put you in your place? It’s amusing. I’ll entertain it. I surrounded myself with black and lavender aura, then I expanded my intensive aura by a whole ten yards.
The cabin itself is visibly shaking, and pounds of snow began lifting up from the ground and the snow turned to black then quickly began transforming into crows. Artoria: Cute little birds. Artoria started to slow clap for me. Justin: Bruh! Can you stop!? I’m sick and tired of kneeling! Turned back just a bit and Justin quickly summoned his Incursion armor but it’s slightly different, it's a full body icy gray steel armor, with a more defined wolf shaped helmet and with a black visor and you can see ghostly gray eyes behind the visor. Justin tried to stand but he was instantly brought back down by my intensive aura. My crows started landing on the top of his helmet and his shoulder guards.
Justin: Yo, what the hell mate? I thought you were tired?! And what’s going with your eyes, mate?! They seem a bit brighter! Artoria: They seem to be neon green if I’m not mistaken. Are you going to do something or just stand here and look at me? Sora: Let’s get started then. Justin: Woo there! Mate, you sound lifeless right now! Artoria: Here we go. Sora: Roar for me…Kasar. A black tachi blade came forth right into my hand, then sparks of flames shot out of my hand, and I quickly collapsed and began breathing erratically and started grabbing at my chest. Kasar disappeared along with my aura, I turned back and looked at Justin, the crows sinked in their talons into his armor, and the Incursion armor disappeared from Justin, and then the crows instantly vanished along with the armor.
Justin: What the fuck!? My armor is destroyed! Valencia: It’s perfectly fine, you can call it back. Zea and Valencia got hold of me, to see if I’m well. Justin: What’s going on with bird boy? Artoria: He’s exhausted. Tapped out. Justin: So if I beat him, right now? Will I be stronger? Artoria: Probably. Sora: Don’t get twisted, I can beat you without even touching you. Justin: Prove it! Because I feel good! Hellhounds made of dark magic began swarming around him, and started loudly barking at him. Justin: Not the hellhounds! Anything but them again! I jest! I jest! I was only mucking about, mate! Hellhounds quickly dispersed, Zea and Valencia stood me up. Zea: Alright, I think you’ve seen enough action for today…well a couple of weeks at minimum. Valencia: Don’t try to push yourself for no reason. Artoria: Take him to his grimoire domain, I think it’s best for him at this current moment that proceeds us. Zea: You’re right. Open up your grimoire, Blue. My grimoire came down from the top of the porch, and placed itself at the bottom of the steps of the porch and then my grimoire transformed itself to a door. Justin: I know there’s some food up in there! Let’s go in! The door violently swung open, it’s Sophia with a yellow long sleeve sport crop top and yellow yoga pants and with the peace sign on her right pant leg, and with black and white low-top sneakers, also has margarita in hand.
Oh, she finally decided to put her chest out for display, did she get bigger, or has it been that long, since I’ve seen them in action. She might be a thirty-four-D, actually…not might I’m ninety-nine percent sure she is that size. Wait! What the fuck, am I doing?! I’m just…concerned about her size so I can make adjustments, when I start back making…for clothes for Sophia again. Yeah...that’s it. I should do the same thing like my clone did with Zea! Yes, genius! I mean it’s only fair if I do it for both of them, I must measure her… for myself just in case Frenchie made a slight improbable miscalculation. Yes…indeed…Zea will require a lot of my focus…yes… it so happens that Zea’s chest is a lot more prodigious than Sophia’s chest, it’s an astute observation.
Sophia: Get the hell off of him! Zea:You've forgotten what we discussed already? Sophia: I’m not talking to you. I’m talking about her. Sophia pointed at Valencia as she drinked her margarita. Valencia: I’m just helping him. When was the last time you actually helped him?! All you do is complain, complain and complain! For once in your pampered life, take care of someone else! Sophia: You don’t know a bloody thing about me, you twat! Justin: Calm down, she is just helping Sora. Both of you want to help him. Sophia: Oi, you fucking mongrel, no one was talking to you, know your place commoner! Justin: And they say royals are superior in every single way, the commoners should kneel before them, and pay attention to see how great they are and maybe they can learn something, so they can be a little less of a dirty pig. You royals act like tyrannical baboons. Sophia got really ticked off, she took a sip of her margarita, and floated in the air with wind magic, she stuck her hand out forward and summoned her unsheathed rapier.
I got off of Valencia and Zea, as Sophia started to approach Justin, I got in between the both of them, and I directly gazed at Sophia. She looked past me and stared at Justin with furious anger. Sora: Forget what he said, let’s move on from this. And I like to apologize for… Sophia landed a front kick that directly struck my ribs and sent Justin and me back by a whole hundred yards. Valencia: What the hell you do that for, bitch?! Sophia: Hey, monkey’s whore shut the fuck up! The Twilight Tiger members saw what happened and they rushed to Sophia, Valencia and the rest. Justin: Bro, what’s her problem?! And get off of me. I rolled over off the top of Justin, both of us lying in the snow. Justin gets up fairly quickly. As I tried to get up, my entire left side hurts, it gets worse every single time I breathe it feels like I’m getting stabbed.
Sora: Fuck! Justin: Are you going to be alright? I stood myself, and reached out with my right hand and tried to summon Homura but only sparks came out. Sora: Homura! Same results happen again and again, but the same results are happening. Justin: Hey, bro, you look kinda out of it. You might want to relax, and your breathing is getting kinda erratic. I tried to summon my blood spear Enyo, but a bunch of more sparks shot out.
My vision got really blurry, I couldn’t see the others anymore, it’s just a bunch of blurred colors, my heart seems like it’s on fire. I collapsed on my knees, then fell face down into the snow. Justin: Hey, Sora! Bro! Are you okay!? A gust of wind came passing by, and I felt a familiar touch, that’s putting me on their back, and it’s Valdis. Valdis: Say something if you’re not dead. Sora: Valdis. Valdis: That’s good! Valdis began sprinting for a few seconds and stopped right in his tracks. I can hear Sophia and Valencia going at each other's throats. Benson, De’Niro are trying to mediate the situation.
Zea: Sit him down. Valdis: He’s still conscious. Sophia: Mind your own business, bitch! Artoria: Sophia… Zea placed her hand on my chest and black aura surrounding her hand, and my body began shivering like crazy. Valencia: You don’t even care… Sophia: Just shut the hell up! Artoria: Sophia, aren’t you worried about Sora? Just look at him. As I turned my head to see what’s going on, Zea stopped my head from turning. Zea: She’s not concerned about you, not one bit.

English isn't my First language so brace yourself for some grammatic potholes. But I'm genuinely working on improving my English but it won't be happening overnight as it's a process, I guess. (for the time being, I'm trying to make it readable with some Grammar checking software) Moreover, I wish to improve my writing skills as the story grows and readers help in spotting mistakes or critics might turn it into a reality.
