《Tales of The Celestial Prince》The Celestial Inquisition II Colin's Speculation I
Advertisement
The Female Captain was of course Lim, the same female royal guard Theodore had taught, and who'd eventually become a Shield Captain of The Celestial King's Guard. Apparently, she was also present when Molly had been found.
Of course, Theodore had sent word that he had already sent a trusted person with a small garrison-sized force to ensure their welcome would be that of a pleasant one since The Grand Inquisitor had been forewarned by him.
Causing Colin after examining both her and the progress of the strange battle to then nod with approval, they were doing fairly well.
Before however, those strange shadowy rifts continued opening despite being destroyed on and on again it seemed.
And after the arrival of The Golden Legion they had soon begun suppressing such figures, almost oppressively so, while the many rifts remained unchanged, the real issue was the fact that this seemed entirely new!
Which had both excited Colin and worried him even more. These weren't Shadow Elves, Demons, or Elementals?
While he had immediately ruled out The Void, due to the obvious, not only were they shadow-like entities but their magic was outlandish and so were their tactics.
Not to mention despite the diverse bunch of Magewreaths ranging from everything under the sun.
Coupled with the defensive instruments now being fully activated thanks to his Sky Tower there was simply no effect as if they were simply not related to darkness.
Despite The Celestial Inquisition being quite inactive that wasn't always the case.
Their HQ was the combination of The Celestial Palace and Temple's Magewreaths, Arrays, inscriptions, defensive instruments, constructs, puppets, and even mage canons, pylons, and even Skybreaker cannons.
All of these were ancient, experimental, and immensely powerful, however, most of them remained inactive or were simply not effective.
Causing Colin to then curiously nod at such a strange predicament before then noticing a shadowy glimmer appear in what 'seemed' to be his blindspot resulting in him effortlessly avoiding the equally strange attack.
It may have been his blindspot but if anyone could sense a glimmer of mana change, disappear, or be replaced, it would be Colin, not to mention he's not only a Celestial Lord.
He was so in love with the magic and didn't discriminate up to the point he became a full-fledged Void Lord! And by accident mind you!
And one could assume there were many accidents resulting in him naturally being known as a God of Magic who simply couldn't have enough of it!
He could have met Satara while randomly entering a Void Rift and teaching her magic.. you'd simply never know!
Causing the strange female-like shadowy figure to then terrifyingly smile revealing her four scary red glowing eyes, causing poor Colin having not known what this meant to then simply assume she wanted to converse!
He did feel the breath of a Sacred Powerhouse 'strongly' radiating from her.. it.. a shadow person maybe? Resulting in him curiously nodding.
"It seems you're not affiliated with that of The Void, Shadow Elves, Shadow Demons, or even Shadow Elementals? However, you do in fact have four eyes it seems, unfortunately, you're not that of The Queen of Senex's Shadows, my speculation would no doubt lean more to that of spirits!"
"Shadowy spirits, however, are incapable of such strange magic? And The Inari would've no doubt sensed it long before you've made it this far? So you mustn't belong to the same category, leading me to believe-"

Colin curiously speculated before then finally being cut off! Funnily enough, it was a miracle that he was even able to openly speculate enough to repeat his thoughts mid-battle.
Before then immediately being blasted with a shadowy-like beam surprising Colin before then waving his hand and ultimately redirecting it, resulting in him receiving the equivalent of a paper cut, surprising the shadowy being to no end.
Before then ultimately being slapped into the nearest wall and sealed into a spirit crystal in but several moments.
Causing Colin to then curiously nod having felt this would no doubt serve as a proper birthday present for a young mage walking the path of magic!
Resulting in him unleashing his magic world and absorbing said rifts into an opened habitat ring so they could provide some use!
Unfortunately, they were soon closed after another much stronger female-like shadowy figure with six eyes had found herself trapped.
Who in turn had either closed them herself, or perhaps the sheer amount of profanities, and racial slurs to albeit every race and extended to even the gods may have done it..
Surprising even Colin before then removing her from the habitat ring and before she could even respond sealing her into another spirit crystal resulting in the constant whispers of profanity being heard.
Causing Colin to then simply put both inside of an Ethereal Golden Void Ring and into an extravagantly ornate golden ring box before then simply gift wrapping it to everyone's amazement?
Albeit not everyone's rather those who weren't fighting or were merely observers until finally, the majority of spirits had dissipated.
And the formerly damaged arrays and inscriptions were quickly repaired by The Golden Legion's Combat Artisans who had been doing so mid-battle and the majority of the time while being shielded.
Soon enough after what felt like an hour had passed and the battle had seemingly ended, all nine of The Skybreaker Canons hidden within the mountain had for some odd reason activated simultaneously and aimed for The Sky Tower.
And before Colin even had a chance to react he was immediately kicked into a wall by what looked to be The Grand Inquisitor.
The Grand Inquisitor's name was in fact Neveen Celestine Vale, she was formerly a Crown Princess during The Ancestral Era, unfortunately, something had occurred that many are still unsure of.
Resulting in her now not only having her ancestral bloodline sealed, but had also removed her from any form of royal succession and even left her with crippled mana..
Many would've suspected she was smited for some odd reason or entrapped and forced to commit such actions resulting in her eventually becoming The Grand Inquisitor.
What was even worse was the fact that she was forced to accept a blessing of youth despite outright hating it resulting in her looking to be around sixteen years old.
However, it seemed she had gone through a transformation or was quite literally being possessed resulting in her being encased and what looked to be a shadowy female figure with nine eyes that looked to have surpassed The Sacred Realm?!
Resulting in not only her kicking Colin into the wall with the ferocity of a dying beast hoping to take it with him.
While she had also removed the safeties and overridden the emergency protocols to fire all nine of The Starbreaker Cannons right after the fact!

Resulting in everyone's worst fears coming to realization as the moderate mana-fusion shielding did very little while the Sky Tower itself was using its mana reactor to both stay afloat and power The Celestial Inquisition's barriers and arrays.
What was even worse was the fact that the Skybreakers were overcharged with mana so much so that it had only fused their mana circles but had squeezed the Sky Tower's Mana Reactor as well.
Resulting in the overload of both the canons and the Sky Tower itself leaving it ultimately defenseless and disabled.
Something Colin had never expected due to the fail-safes and safeties being near impossible to override let alone the supposedly impossible chain reaction resulting in one of The Greatest Relics being bombarded with overwhelming firepower.
Resulting in the core itself ultimately sealing itself as it exploded, preventing the Sky Tower itself from exploding, while the underbelly was especially carved out.
While the tower itself eventually collapsed on itself after the impact with the mountain.
Shocking everyone by what had transpired before then immediately seeing the emergency beacon and mage flares illuminating the skies to an unrealistic degree.
All the while sending an automated general distress call from the now-damaged magic incarnation that had suffered even more than the Sky Tower itself.
Due to the mana-related shockwaves, severing, the fusing of mana veins, and the core itself being destroyed ultimately traumatized and hurt the poor incarnation to the extent that it ultimately cried due to the sheer amount of pain.
What was even worse was the fact that magic incarnations had to be no different from sentient beings such as fairies to even be qualified to be installed on any Sky Castle and Sky Tower.
While many of said incarnations had chosen to appear as fairies and little girls since they typically take in the preferences of their creator and even choose their own name?
Of course, all weren't, however in Colin's case, his was created by Avery's mother or perhaps her mother resulting in it being the much younger and adorable version of Avery or perhaps Avery's mother herself since they did look quite similar.
No matter the case, not only had that set off alarms, while many more magic incarnations despite being installed on separate platforms were still in fact connected one way or another.
Resulting in the distress call hitting them the most, even celestial warships on the sea for heaven's sake!
While the distress calls from the twenty-eight hundred members of The Golden Legion that remained on the Sky Tower while many more from the mixed personnel.
Ultimately resulting in a strangely controlled mess that would no doubt be responded to by nearby Demigods, temples, and legions who had Sky Towers. Let alone the fact that it was Colin's Sky Tower that raised the stakes twofold.
Despite appearances, these sorts of events were simply far too rare, even during times of war in the past.
While this was also within The Kingdom of The Celestial Vale, and knowing the sheer amount of security measures it only added another layer of urgency.
All the while after recollecting himself and speaking to his Incarnation Colin couldn't help but frown at such news.
While Lady Talia had seemingly already appeared and had already partly imbolized her while the shadows themselves created more shadows.
Resulting in her effortlessly suppressing them all in but moments while Colin proceeded to appear by her side and sealed her spirit in an even shorter time.
Funnily enough, you simply had to get close enough and have the power to break their fusion shield, after doing so you need only have a spirit crystal and seal them.
However, despite sounding easier for Colin, it only meant very little to people who were not classified as gods of magic..
Not to mention the fact that it could take over the body of The Grand Inquisitor, even if she hadn't recovered since her 'incident', that only meant the shadow being itself had either been extremely lucky or had the ability to do just that..
Which in itself was quite troublesome and would require a lot of thinking. Causing Talia having prevented the collapsed Neveen from hitting the ground and now examined her, thankfully she was still alive despite her critical condition.
Causing Colin having examined the aftermath to then curiously shake his head while Sky Castles appear one after the other.
"What a waste? No matter, it seems the situation answered itself, from what I've discovered The Blight may have had an unknown anomaly"
"It appears Spirits must have been absorbed through that of a similar method of that of Malik's it seems? From there they must have been brought back as 'Blight' Spirits?"
"They no doubt took concepts from the void and the blight as a whole while retaining their own unique existence. Their hierarchy no doubt revolves around the concept of having more eyes"
Colin curiously speculated.
"Four, six, and nine seem to be indeed quite powerful, at least by normal standards, however aside from the absorption of spirits to expand their population I see very little threat if you have a large supply of empty spirit crystals nearby?"
"The higher the quality of spirit crystals may prove indeed useful in such events. As for the possessions, it seems such things are only temporary, and aside from finding a similar vessel to that of the original spirit"
"While the sheer amount of power and luck required would no doubt make such instances quite rare, and despite an extra layer of security it seems I was still very much able to seal her?"
Colin curiously speculated further, having already had a handful of theories, however, the basics in themselves were quite easier to start off with.
Not to mention his magic incarnation was screaming at him to help her! While he also needed to add this spirit stone to the gift ring and rewrap it?
Simply so much to do! All the while Lucius helplessly shook his head while Talia indifferently nodded before then disappearing and reappearing while Lucious led the five hundred-member Golden Legion to assist with rescue efforts.
While the remaining two hundred remained behind to do the same in the headquarters.
Causing Colin to then dive into his space ring before then finding his teleportation circle to the incarnation core where she was currently screaming at him from.
