“What is that?” Asked Tae with a trembling voice.

[ Kyle ]

“That is what Mani ordered us to do. Summon sea monsters to kill people for sacrifice. This isn’t the only island attacked right now. There are fourteen islands in total. Around eight hundred people will get killed.”

[ Tae ]

“Those fourteen sacrifices weren’t enough?!”

[ Kyle ]

“That wouldn’t be enough to even create a hand.”

[ Tae ]

“Create a hand? What do you mean?”

[ Kyle ]

“These people will become a new body for Mani. She’s not dead but she also is not alive. Without body, she can’t do much.”

[ Tae ]

“You’re sick… all of you… If I can’t help Eric… I’ll help the village!”

The chains that were wrapped around Tae’s legs disappeared and he was free to move. He jumped into the water and swim to the village. Even though he was scared he didn’t stop for a second. There was one thought in his mind. The monsters might be right under him but he was more concerned about the villagers than his own life.

[ Kyle ]

“Wasn’t expecting that to happen… If I knew I would also forbid him from helping the villagers. Not like he was an important part of the plan. I can always adjust this one small detail.”

When Tae arrived at the island he saw guards being killed by this giant monster. He took out his sword and began attacking the smaller monsters that he could handle. The smallest monsters barely reached his knees. With one swift move, their heads were chopped off. He didn’t notice one of them approaching him from behind. It jumped on him and bit his shoulder. Tae grabbed the monster and smashed it with his knee. It was a small monster but he bit off part of Tae’s skin.

[ Tae ]

“Can’t die yet! There are still so many of them!”

While Tae was fighting I was slowly dying underwater. I no longer had the strength to punch Connor while he was still holding me. I no longer could see the surface and I couldn’t see the bottom too. I was cold… very cold. I got one last idea about how to finish him. He was using all his strength to hold me and I used all I had to open his mouth. A few millimeters were enough to get water into his lungs.

I don’t know how long I was out but I finally killed him and I was on the chair again. I achieved my goal and got revenge. Now I need a good spell to kill that monster. Usually, Loki would start talking but this time I heard steps. Something was walking toward me on the water. Of course, I wouldn’t forget that figure. Skyge’s father appeared in front of me.

[ Skyge’s Father ]

“Thank you… For avenging our death and for taking care of my son.” Said the wolf as he kneeled in front of me.

[ Eric ]

“What do you mean by our death? You were the only one on the beach…”

[ Skyge’s Father ]

“I was killed right there because I was the only one who didn’t get caught. The rest of the family was sacrificed and thrown into the water.”

[ Eric ]

“So… you mean that… Skyge has no one left?”

[ Skyge’s Father ]

“Yes… He is the only one left. So, please… Take care of him.” Said Wolf as he changed into ashes and disappeared.

[ Eric ]

“I will… Loki! Where is my reward?! You said that if I kill him you’ll give me the power that will help me kill them all!”

[ Loki ]

“I remember! I remember! No need to shout! This time I’ll give you a spell. You don’t need to spin the wheel for it.”

[ Eric ]

“Better be something good.”

[ Loki ]

“Snake Bite. You can change one of your fingers into a venomous snake and control it with your will. If it dies you lose your finger until you touch the snake…”

[ Eric ]

“That’s not enough!”

[ Loki ]

“What do you mean not enough? It’s easy silent kill if you do it right.”

[ Eric ]

[ Loki ]

“I can’t. This is an equal reward for what you’ve done.”
