“A Bronze Destiny, wow!”
“Isn’t that Old Wu’s adopted son!?”
“I—I think so. What a stroke of luck for Old Wu to have a son with a Bronze Destiny!”
“And look at the bronze glow! That’s three opened meridians, no doubt!”
The crowd was in an uproar. No one expected a commoner mortal’s son to have such talent.
That means this person could become a guard at the city gates or even be hired by one of the family leaders to guard their grounds!
He could make enough to support himself and Old Wu, who took him in with no trouble!
Lu Pei left the stage shortly after, following the instructions of the old man before him.
The old core formation expert wasn’t sure, but he could have sworn he saw a look of dissatisfaction on the young man’s face. It was as if he wasn’t pleased with the result.
‘I do hope that this young man doesn’t destroy his future,’ the old man thought to himself.
There was no shortage of people who didn’t feel content with their destiny and sought to change it. Of course, the amount that was successful in this endeavour was so pitiful that it was deemed nigh impossible.
The old man soon put that matter out of his mind and called the other young child to test their destiny.
As expected, from the other commoners, only wooden and copper destinies kept appearing, so the mood of everyone fell.
With the same look, the old man called for the next child to come up.
“Li Yun!”
The moment Li Ren heard this name, he quickly got up and turned to Miss Ao Lan with a cupped fist.
“Hahaha! Miss Ao Lan, this is my son. I don’t have the same power or methods as your illustrious sect, but my family was able to start him on the path of cultivation. I hope you can pay attention to him. I’m sure his talent won’t disappoint you.”
‘Hmph! Sucking up to whoever can give you the most benefits like a shameless prostitute!’ Long Huangdi sneered inwardly in disdain at Li Ren’s bootlicking demeanour.
“I’ll keep an eye out…” Ao Lan only said this line before she ignored him.
Receiving such indifferent treatment caused his cheeks to twitch in embarrassment, however, he didn’t dare to act outrageously.
Li Ren’s son, Li Yun, walked out with an arrogant gait amidst the gaze of all present.
Without waiting for the man to speak, he placed his hand on the Destiny Scale and channelled the spiritual energy around him for a full cycle before he directed it into the Scale.
Vrrmm…
The Scale trembled before it released a strong silver glow!
“Hm? Did he break through the 9th Vessel Qi Gathering stage already? Not bad, he is at the Tan’tien Saturation realm,” the old expert expressionlessly nodded, as if this was barely acceptable.

Li Ren smiled in pride at his son’s performance. He looked over at Ao Lan, only to see the latter still indifferent. To her, there was no shortage of silver destiny disciples back at the sect.
Seeing this, he slumped back in his chair with a grimace. He hissed under his breath in anger as he cursed inside, ‘Hmph! Just an insignificant Soaring Cloud Immortal Sect! Not even one of the 10 Great Sects, not enough to reach the apex!’
“This is your son, City Lord?” Ao Lan finally spoke when she saw a young man walking forward with a heroic bearing.
His eyes were full of vitality and exuded confidence. He stood before the steel stele and felt its dominating aura.
After allowing the old man to speak, the City Lord’s son, Weisheng Zu, released his cultivation base.
Not to mention the crowd, even the 10 family leaders reacted with shock.
“This is… Early-stage Complete Immersion Tan’tien Saturation realm!?”
There were three main stages in the Tan’tien Saturation realm. The stages were Initial Immersion, Mid Immersion, and Complete Immersion.
Each stage could further be broken down into three sub-levels, early, middle, and late. So Weisheng Zu, already reaching early-stage Complete Immersion Tan’tien Saturation at his age, showcased his impressive talent!
He then placed his hand on the Destiny Scale and channelled the spiritual energy around him into the old steel stele.
Du-Dum!
The Destiny Scale lit up with an irradiant golden glow!
“Golden Destiny!”
City Lord Weisheng Zhensheng, along with the other family leaders, all cried out in surprise! Even the proud Ao Lan calmly nodded her head in acceptance.
Suddenly, the clouds above converged before they shone with a golden hue.
Seeing this, Ao Lan commented, “Not only that, he has seven opened meridians as well. Not a bad seed at all.”
Anything above six opened meridians would cause the heavens to notice it, hence the golden clouds overhead. This was the accompanying phenomenon for those with a high-level destiny.
The reveal of his talent for the first time was what caused this phenomenon.
“Hahaha congratulations City Lord! You must be proud!”
“City Lord has such a talented son. He will surely become a powerful expert in the future!”
Most of the family leaders showered the City Lord with praise. How could they not?
For such a talent to come from their Thunder Cloud City was nothing short of a miracle.
This was also reflected in the cheering spectators as well!
Weisheng Zu felt like this was only natural and walked back to stand among the group of children as if he was the leader.
He shot a glare down the line and saw the mysterious Long Di, looking all over with a curious gaze, even though his expression was still impassive.

“Hmph!” the former didn’t pay any attention to the latter any longer.
“Ah, finally it’s my daughter’s turn. Keep your eyes peeled, Long Huangdi!” Qin Dongmei exclaimed.
“It’s little fairy Qin Ling!”
“The young miss looks so elegant!”
The crowd was ecstatic even more than Weisheng Zu. Then again, girls naturally drew more attention than men, especially when it came to their beauty, so there was nothing that could be done.
Qin Dongmei’s smile was as bright as the stars. Anyone could see from the look of excitement on her face that she was confident in her daughter.
It wasn’t that the family leaders had some secret to make sure that their children or family members had good talents. Rather, it was that their ancestors were powerful and, with the passing down of their genes; it was more likely for their descendants to inherit these qualities.
Qin Lin only appeared to be 13-14 years of age, but even then, the elegance she portrayed far surpassed her age.
Ao Lan’s expression suddenly changed as her interest grew. Staring at this little girl, she mumbled to herself, “This cold air, could this be…”
Qin Lin confidently stood in front of the ancient Destiny Scale, and without a prompt from the old man, she began.
The old man, who didn’t reveal any change in his expression since the beginning, felt the changes and immediately stared at Qin Lin in horror.
‘Third Duan Cauldron Forging realm!?’
Boom!
“W-What is happening to the Destiny Scale!?” The old core formation expert didn’t know what was happening.
“Impossible!” Ao Lan stood up in shock and stepped from her seat to view the clouds above.
The other family leaders, including Qin Dongmei, didn’t know what was happening. They never saw anything like this before!
The clouds dimmed before they suddenly shone with a divine platinum glow! A hole within the clouds opened up to encase Qin Ling, having her appear like an immortal fairy from legend.
“Platinum Destiny!” Ao Lan was in shock! She never thought that she’d be finding a supreme talent like this here.
She knew she had to bring this little girl back with her no matter what!
When the family leaders heard what she said, they were flabbergasted.
What was a Platinum Destiny!? A rare and unparalleled destiny rarely seen in any generation!
“W-What is happening to the stage!?”
Hearing this cry, the leaders and Ao Lan stared at the arena before they sucked in a breath of cold air.
The arena around Qin Lin was encased in ice with her at the centre! Several strands of her hair then began to turn from black to a wintry silver, almost crystal-like.
“Cold Heart True Ice Physique!” Ao Lan was blown away!
“C-Cold Heart Physique?” Qin Dongmei asked in confusion.
Ao Lan looked back and asked the clueless mother. “You! Does your family consist of mostly women!?”
“Ah?”
“Answer me quickly!” Ao Lan roared at her, and her cultivation base erupted without reserve.
An eruption went off behind her as nine cauldrons appeared from nowhere. They were all red, marking them as high-grade cauldrons.
The cauldrons were what cultivators manifested once their cultivation base was released.
The family members were all shocked. This disciple was only at the Core Formation realm, yet her aura was so oppressive!
“Y-Yes, our family has been predominantly matriarchal!” She blurted out in fear. “Is my daughter alright?” She asked in worry.
“Your daughter is fine. She has a very special physique. The Cold Heart True Ice Physique.”
Explaining this, a smile made its way across her face while her aura finally receded, allowing everyone to breathe once more.
It was now that everyone realised how powerful a cultivator from a sect was. Though her cultivation base was lower than theirs, there was no doubt that should they fight, she would be able to defeat all of them.
“What kind of physique is this!? Why did everything freeze!?” Qin Dongmei continued to ask, feeling the atmosphere return to relative normalcy, wanting to know how this would affect her daughter.
‘Ah, the Cold Heart True Ice Physique. I guess the steps I took for her were correct after all,’ Long Di thought to himself in surprise, his expression remaining unchanged.
‘Plus, it explains that cold air I felt all those years ago.’
Long Di was very knowledgeable because of all the books he read. However, even he possessed limited information about the Cold Heart True Ice Physique.
Though he knew very little about it himself, he still had a basic understanding of it. The old scroll he found described it as embodying the true essence of ice. As it is of the yin attribute, it could only appear in women.
Able to freeze all things in this world, even the soul. This was the myth that surrounded this once in an epoch physique.
As a matter of fact, the only reason Long Di barely recognised it was because the physique erupted with its icy properties.
“This is your daughter!? Let her join the Ice Phoenix Hall!”
“I-Ice Phoenix Hall!? One of the 10 great sects!!”

Humanity Extinguished
I had the same nightmare again. The loss of my first life continues to haunt me, but now it aches like an old wound. A more grievous injury to my psyche was the losses yet to come and the inevitable hellscape I would return to again and again. Reincarnation is my curse. The lives themselves weren't all that bad. Losing people you cared about hurt and all, but even that pain was preferable to experiencing the nothingness between lives for months at a time. It was enough to drive anyone mad. Now I have to focus on breaking this horrible cycle. Thankfully I have all the time in the world. Trace is an average man driven by extraordinary circumstances in an indifferent and cruel world. His reincarnations give him a few key advantages but also take a heavy toll on him. He lives in a world where magic is uncommon and underpowered compared to the limitless physical adaptations you can acquire by getting your hands a little bloody. This story is one of hardship and terrible lows, but also monumental achievements and grand heights. The main character has flaws. While some of these flaws will fade with time, others will worsen. Thank you for taking the time to read my synopsis. I plan to release 2-3 chapters a week.
