《I Died and Got Summoned to Another World as a WHAT?!?!》Ep. 751 The Voyage Begins Part 9

Back at the beach I make another pouch, but this time it can hold more mana. So, first I add an enchantment to make it stronger and then I add the one to make it bigger. This time it doesn't self destruct and when I test it, it is bigger on the inside.
However, it is only about three times bigger on the inside, but this is just a test. Having never tried spacial enchantments before I want some practice before I touch the ship. Besides, I plan to make the pouch I owe Brightfire and some other bags.
Sometimes my pouch just isn't big enough, so I want to make some backpacks. There is something else I want to test, so I make a weak backpack and enchant it. Once it is done I throw the pouch inside of it and then watch what happens.
The two spacial enchantments interact and cause an implosion that I use mana to contain. That is what I was expecting to happen, but watching how it happened teaches me a lot. The reason for the test is if I enchant the ship to be bigger the same thing could happen.
So, I need to figure out how to prevent the ship from being destroyed if I take my pouch inside. In the end, I spend the rest of the day testing out different spacial enchantments. My skill improves quite a bit and I manage to figure out how to keep the enchantments from interacting.
It takes quite a bit more mana, but protecting the ship is absolutely worth it. Besides, it also means I can make chests of holding to put on the bottom deck to increase the storage capacity. In fact a chest will be perfect for testing something else so I grab some of the leftover branches.
After I shape them into a chest I test it to see how much mana it can hold. Once I know that I carve some symbols into it and then fill the carvings with diamond dust. The dust does not want to stay in place, so I need to come up with some kind of sealant.

That is not something I know anything about so I ask the elven crafters if they have some. Luckily, they have what they use when making the vine ropes and they have a large quantity of it. Using that I am able to seal the diamond dust in place in the carvings.
Once it is finished I check how much mana it can hold and find it is three times the previous amount. Not only is the experiment a success but the result is even better than I was hoping. With this I can add a huge amount of mana to the ship for the enchantments.
Between this and the windows having enough mana for what I want to do shouldn't be a problem. Nala and Albion show up looking for me, it is past time for dinner after all. After we are done eating I create a soulscape and play with all the kids for a few hours.
By the time we are done my mana is recovered so instead of sleeping I go back to experimenting. I start off by polishing and smoothing all the rubies and sapphires to collect the dust. After testing I find that they are not quite as good as the diamonds but still enough to be useful.
It is while I am working on the sapphires that I get the idea to use them for windows on the bottom deck. Since they will be underwater the blue color won't matter at all, in fact it is fitting. With the addition of more windows I will need to use less dust, leaving it for other projects.
There are already a number of experiments I want to try using the dust, but only after the ship is done. Based on the amount of sapphires I set about making fifty windows for the bottom deck. This should provide enough light and still leave a few sapphires for experimenting.

Once the windows are made I head over to the ship to install them, which is a little tricky. I have to use mana to hold back the water while installing the windows. Once all the windows are installed I enchant them like the other windows, but with an extra enchantment.
This enchantment is to amplify the light that comes in through the windows. Otherwise, being underwater, the amount of light wouldn't be all that useful. Even with the enchantment the deck remains somewhat dim, but there is enough light to move around.
With that done I move up to the lower deck to rearrange some of the walls. This is to make a kitchen and seating area, I also add a pantry room for storing food. Once the enchantment on the ship is done I will add some extra enchantments on this room.
When I am done with that I head up to the upper decks and look for good places to add carvings. Since they look pretty good I want them to be in places that will add to the aesthetics. Once I find a few locations I spend the rest of the night carving and applying gem dust.
I do what I can using the three colors of gem dust to make the carvings more appealing. In the end, while it isn't on the level of artwork, it turns out looking decent at least. Then I spend the time to fill the carvings with mana, the windows I filled when installing them.
Once the carvings are filled it is finally time to finish enchanting the ship. The three major enchants I plan to add are, bigger on the inside, isolation from other spacial spells, and protection from disenchantment. Due to the size of the ship the most I can do is make it three times bigger on the inside.
However, with the size of the ship I think that there will be plenty of room. Of course, that will depend on how many more elves I am able to locate and rescue. That brings me to the last issue, how to make the ship either easier to hide or less noticeable.
While I have the idea of making the ship able to turn invisible, that would be difficult. It would also require a lot of experimenting since I don't know any invisibility spells. However, I do have another idea and that would be to make a fog bank for the ship to hide in.
Fog is just condensation, that is fairly easy to manipulate and fog on the ocean isn't remarkable. In fact, I don't even need to modify the ship, I can simply make something. Considering everything else I need to do, a simple fog bank sounds like a plan.
Once the enchantments are done I head back to shore and ask Stillwater to take another look. Then I find Nala and Albion and have breakfast with the two of them. As we are enjoying our food, Brightfire suddenly returns causing quite a fuss.
She looks like she wants to come over to me, but a crowd of elves quickly surround her. It would seem that she is very popular with the younger elves and they all want to talk to her. While she is busy talking to them, Stillwater and Silverstream come over and join me.
