Chapter 1165: Before the Decisive War
Southeast of Middle Sky Continent, a small town more than a thousand miles away from Liang Jie Mountain Range, Nanhui City.
This place was originally just an ordinary frontier town, but these days, led by the 4 ancient sects, human cultivators had gathered here one after another from all over the Middle Sky Continent.
Soon, more than one hundred thousand human cultivators gathered here.
With so many cultivators, the originally small Nanhui City could no longer accommodate them. However, this was not a problem at all for the major human forces. Soon, with Nanhui City as the center, a large camp with a length of tens of miles was built overnight.
Under the unified command of the Alliance, the cultivators showed no signs of chaos. Everything seemed to be in order.
In the places where cultivators were stationed, large protective arrays emerged one after another.
The Alliance even sent hundreds of cultivator teams to patrol around the camp day and night to guard against Hellish-Insect Clan raid.
The Hellish-Insect Clan executives seemed to have discovered something. More than 80% of the Hellish-Insects that were originally scattered throughout the Middle Sky Continent had also gathered here…
From a distance, the Liang Jie Mountain Range was shrouded in a strange gray mist. Although the distance was very far, the human cultivators could still feel the soaring malicious intent coming from the opposite side.
All human cultivators knew that in this war, either the Hellish-Insect Clan would be annihilated and retreat or the Middle Sky Continent would suffer heavy casualties, which put them into a passive situation. Thus, their morale was extremely high without the need of stimulating them.
As time passed, more and more cultivators gathered here from all directions.
Facing the direction of the Hellish-Insect Clan, there were naturally more enchantments and patrols, but the Alliance also sent some cultivators to patrol behind the camp.
In mid-air, a patrol team of more than 10 people was flying slowly above a hilly area 30 miles away from Nanhui City.
The costumes of these cultivators were mainly aqua blue with water patterns. It was a small sect in the Middle Sky Continent South Sea Region. The leader was a burly young man at the intermediate stage of the Crystallization Period. He was carrying a big black stick on his shoulder.
Although there was no abnormality in the surroundings, the burly young man still scanned the surroundings vigilantly. It could be seen that this person was an extremely cautious person.
Suddenly, the burly young man noticed something, stopped and looked at the distant sky.
Seeing this, the cultivators behind the young man also stopped and looked up into the distance.
“Deputy Sect Master Xin, did you discover something…” A young woman in a green robe at the Condensation Period later stage asked. Before she could finish her sentence, a green light appeared in the distant sky, then she flew to the vicinity after a few seconds.
The green light was a giant airship hundreds of meters in size. It was engraved with a green door pattern. There was a faint spiritual light flowing on it.

The giant boat had already started to slow down, but it still stirred up a strong air current. It flew past the patrol team from above, heading toward the Nanhui City.
“Such a large flying boat, and it is so fast. I’m afraid it’s a magic weapon grade flying boat. Which sect are they from?” A Condensation Period intermediate stage cultivator in a blue robe looked at the flying boat in the distance with envy and murmured to himself in a daze.
“Boy, you’re still not convinced when I said that you are inexperienced. Didn’t you see the logo on the flying boat? It’s the logo of the Taiqing Sect, 1 of the 4 ancient sects.” The person next to him immediately sneered.
“Ah. It turns out that this is Taiqing Sect. It’s really impressive! It’s a pity that I didn’t see what the cultivators on it look like.” The cultivator in a blue robe who was ridiculed was not angry, but he said regretfully.
The leader looked at the flying boat with a strange look.
“The 4 ancient sects and the 8 great families have been sending reinforcements these days, but what level of disciples did Taiqing Sect send this time.” The young woman in a green robe said with a twinkle in her eyes.
“The 4 ancient sects have a profound background. Even the most ordinary disciples are better than us.” The burly young man withdrew his gaze and said slowly.
“Indeed, 2 days ago, I had the honor to witness a reinforcement from Haoran Academy. They dispatched more than a thousand Crystallization Period disciples and hundreds of Real Pellet State elders to lead the team…” The young woman in a green robe exclaimed.
“This is nothing. In this Hellish-Insect catastrophe, more than 80% of the cultivators from the Middle Sky Continent gathered here. In Nanhui City, not to mention the Celestial State cultivators, even the Mystic Comprehending State powerhouses have gathered at least ten of them.” The burly young man said indifferently.
“I don’t know if I will be lucky enough to see the face of a Mystic Comprehending State powerhouse.” The young woman in a green robe said with some longing.
“When the war with the Hellish-Insect Clan starts, the Mystic Comprehending State powerhouses from various factions will naturally take action. Well, these things are irrelevant. Let’s continue to patrol!” The burly young man waved the iron rod in his hand and said in a deep voice.
The team members behind hurriedly agreed in unison, and the team slowly flew forward.
“By the way, Deputy Sect Master Xin, I heard from several elders of the Changfeng Association that you seem to have had contact with a certain disciple of Taiqing Sect before. May I know who is it?” The young woman in a green robe asked the burly young man curiously.
“I had only met him once. There has been no contact in these years. How can he remember a small character like me.” Xin Yuan rubbed the iron rod in his hand, shook his head, and said somewhat self-deprecatingly.

Seeing Xin Yuan’s reluctance to talk, the young woman in a green robe didn’t ask further.
…
Taiqing Sect’s green airship stopped above Nanhui City. Many cultivators greeted them.
On the flying boat, 40 Taiqing Sect disciples flew down one after another.
These people were all above the Real Pellet State intermediate stage. Everyone’s aura was restrained and profound. Obviously, their strength was not small among cultivators of the same level.
Among the crowd, Liu Ming, Qiu Longzi, Kun Yu and others were all there. The leader standing at the front was Jin Lieyang.
This batch of reinforcements was exactly the esoteric disciples of the Taiqing Sect.
“It turns out that Mr. Jin has arrived.” The greeter who flew out of Nanhui City was a middle-aged man in a yellow robe from the Nature Work Sect. He glanced at the people behind Jin Lieyang with his eyes twinkling.
Jin Lieyang and the middle-aged man in a yellow robe seemed to know each other. They talked for a while, then they flew into the city with Liu Ming and others.
While activating the escape light, Liu Ming scanned his surroundings.
The originally small city was densely packed with camps of various sects. Those with slightly larger forces were relatively close to the city while those with relatively small forces could only camp at the edge.
Those stationed in Nanhui City were high rank disciples and elders of major sects. Liu Ming and others were also assigned a temporary residence with newly built small stone houses inside.
“Every junior fellow apprentices, please rest here for a while. The Alliance will arrange important matters for you later.” Jin Lieyang told Liu Ming and others mysteriously, then he left with the middle-aged man in a yellow robe.
“Junior Fellow Apprentice Liu, can you guess what Brother Jin meant?” After Jin Lieyang left, Qiu Longzi walked up to Liu Ming and asked.
“I don’t know either. Maybe the Alliance has arranged missions for us.” Liu Ming said noncommittally.
Qiu Longzi shook his head, said nothing, and quickly walked into his house.
Some of the other esoteric disciples returned to their houses to rest while others went out to visit other acquaintances from other sects or familiarize themselves with the surrounding environment.
At this moment, almost all high rank cultivators of Middle Sky Continent gathered in Nanhui City, but because of the imminent war, the atmosphere was a bit gloomy.
Liu Ming went into his house and meditated.
Almost all the human cultivators had gathered here. The war would start soon. He had just advanced to the Real Pellet State later stage, so he must seize the time to stabilize his cultivation and improve his strength as much as possible.
In the center of Nanhui City, a hall-like building was hidden in a circular array. The interior of the hall was very simple. Except for a few necessary tables and chairs, there was only a huge light curtain showing the Liang Jie Mountain Range’s detailed terrain.
There were more than 20 cultivators sitting around the round table in the main hall, including the 4 Mystic Comprehending State grand elders of Taiqing Sect Mu Kong, Feng Qing, Huo Ye, and Xuan Yu.
Grand Elder Mu Kong of the Taiqing Sect, a beautiful young woman in a yellow robe of the Nature Work Sect, a middle-aged man in a scholar robe with white eyebrows and long beard of the Haoran Academy, a thin old man in a black robe of the Demon Mystic Sect; 4 of them sat on the main seats.
There were also the Mystic Comprehending States of the Sky Beastkin Valley, the Big Dipper Pavilion, and the 8 great families.
As all the sects gathered here, the comparison of strength was clear at a glance. The Taiqing Sect and the other 3 ancient sects of had 4 Mystic Comprehending State powerhouses. The Demon Mystic Sect lost a Mystic Comprehending State powerhouses a few years ago, so they had only 3 people.
The other sects, Big Dipper Pavilion, and Sky Beastkin Valley each had 2 Mystic Comprehending State cultivators, and there was only 1 from the 8 great families.
The strange thing was that the mysterious Sky Palace, which had always been in charge of the luck of the Middle Sky Continent, sent no one here
The rare Mystic Comprehending State powerhouses had 26 people in the hall at this moment.
In the main hall, there were also several Celestial State cultivators, who seemed to be the leaders of various sects.
Taiqing Sect’s Immortal Tian Ge stood behind Xuan Yu and the others. Seeing the unprecedented gathering of Mystic Comprehending State powerhouses, his face was extremely solemn.
“As of today, almost all the manpower we can gather has been gathered in Nanhui City. If we wait any longer, there won’t be more reinforcements coming.” The woman in a yellow robe of the Nature Work Sect said with a cold voice.
“Exactly, since our side has assembled the troops, we may strike first and have a better chance of winning.” Demon Mystic Sect’s thin old man nodded in agreement.
“Mr. Situ, I heard that your sect has Ten Faces War Drum, which can boost our morale and reduce the enemy’s fighting spirit. Although it may not be able to exert its full power against the Hellish-Insect Clan, it is very suitable for this kind of war. Have your sect brought over this treasure here?” On the seat, a burly figure wrapped in starlight said calmly.
This person was the Big Dipper Pavilion’s Master who appeared once at the Tianmen Convention.

However, if you believe that a man knowing and having sex with women constitutes a harem, and if that is not your bag, please consider this your warning. Spiko's Journey
This is a Story of Spiko. An once normal cat, now a cat-girl. Which found herself in a new world. Searching for her home and anything that can hold her attention long enough. Join Spiko on her travels, in a world that is as unforgiving as it is breath taking. Be warned. This is a somewhat slow burn story. I expect that I will need a few chapters to get the rough outlines out there. General Info: -I really do this mostly, cause i need to freshen up my grammar and stuff. So, I will go over these chapters a lot, if I find errors (or you find them). I will mark revised chapters and what I changed in them ( if it is of importance to the story). I'm sorry for anything i might unleash onto the world. -There will be a little of everything in this. But I will never do harem stuff. Or horror just for the sake of it being horrific. No needless bad popes, bandits that rape villagers. Just for a hero to save the day. No stupid tropes. No OP Powers that can call forth doom to anyone. Spiko has Plot Armor as thick as any MC that you can't really kill off for good. But no Demon Lord will trip over a pebble, onto a peel of any fruit of choice and then die in a comedic way. When she needs saving. She's a tough cookie, which will find ways to get out of trouble (or into it). -Yes, the picture shows Spiko in her true glory. Before a lot of other stuff happened to her. And yes, Spiko is a weird Name for a cat. I'm weird. -Thoughts of Spiko are in Cursive = Why is that flower blue? -Descriptions and passive observational stuff that is coming from 3rd person view is in normal = There stood a blue flower, as Spiko shifted her wary gaze. -Distinct sounds are in bold = Swish (goes the cat paw on that blue flower!) -Talking is as always in "Hey, stop that!" -System stuff will be in tables = [Stat gain Stuff and so on] -There will be light GameLit stuff. I won't overdo it and if i do anything GameLit, it will have a reason and explanation. Do excuse the table formatting. I'm not great with word processor programs. -I'm crazy. Updates: Saturdays + whenever I feel like it (atm about 2~4 chapters a weekend + maybe weekdays. I guess?).

Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.
