Chapter 1158: Mysterious Stone Slab
The earthworm Hellish-Insect obviously also sensed the change in Liu Ming’s speed. It let out a terrified roar and fled toward a valley below.
At the same time, it turned around and spurted a gray light beam at Liu Ming.
Liu Ming made a sword gesture, then the purple sword light swirled around him, turning them into a 300 meters translucent giant purple sword with purple lightning arcs on it.
It was the body and sword fusion!
Before the giant sword moved, ripples visible to the naked eye had already appeared in the surrounding space.
After advancing to Real Pellet State, the power of this mystic art performed by Liu Ming was several times greater than before.
With a slight slash of the purple giant sword, the gray light beam spurted by the earthworm Hellish-Insect was scattered. Then, it flickered and appeared above the earthworm Hellish-Insect.
The earthworm Hellish-Insect felt a monstrous sword intent approaching, and it couldn’t help being horrified. The giant purple sword was too fast that it could only condense a thin gray protective light around its body before the giant purple sword slashed with great momentum.
At this moment, there was a thunder from the giant sword, and golden lightning arcs suddenly appeared. The giant purple sword instantly turned into a golden thunder sword.
After the golden thunder sword flashed through the earthworm Hellish-Insect. The gray light on its body collapsed like a paper.
The earthworm Hellish-Insect shook in mid-air, then it was instantly slashed into half from its chest. Countless gray blood leaked out.
The giant golden sword dissipated in a flash, revealing Liu Ming’s figure.
At this moment, golden lightning arcs wrapped around his body, like a golden thunder god. A mysterious five-color mark emerged on the chest, which was the seal of Heavenly Thunder Spell.
The golden thunder light dissipated in a flash. Liu Ming’s face was slightly pale, but there was still a hint of joy in his eyes.
Infusing Heavenly Thunder Spell into the Bitter Wheel Sword really boosted its power a lot, otherwise he could do such a clean slash with just ordinary body and sword fusion alone.
The 2 parts of the earthworm Hellish-Insect fell to the ground of the valley like a meteorite, splashing countless dust.
However, the 2 severed parts glowed with gray lights, then they rushed in 2 different directions.
Liu Ming was also shocked by this, but he immediately snorted, patted his left shoulder, and a green light swept out. It wrapped the half of the body containing the head of the earthworm Hellish-Insect with great speed while launching the Bitter Wheel Sword in another direction.
The sword light was as fast as lightning. In the blink of an eye, it swam across the other half of the body and returned with a whistle. The half body was disintegrated into pieces.

A moment later, the green light also returned to Liu Ming.
A gray light cluster was wrapped in the green light, struggling left and right. But every time it touched the green light, its own gray light was swallowed by the green light.
After trying several times, the gray light cluster finally calmed down. A half-human, half-insect mini figure could be vaguely seen inside. It should be the soul of this Celestial State Hellish-Insect.
“Illumination God! This is the Illumination God. Kid, how did you learn this skill?” Hellish-Insect snarled at Liu Ming.
“So much nonsense!”
Liu Ming was too lazy to talk nonsense with this Hellish-Insect soul, he reached into the green light with one hand and wrapped the soul in black light.
Soul search!
The Celesital State Hellish-Insect should know a lot of things, especially the distribution of Hellish-Insects in Mountain Qingsang, otherwise Liu Ming would have crushed this soul long ago.
“Ah!“
“You have the Illumination God… then you are the one who must be killed by our Hellish-Insect Clan… Mother Hellish-Insect will never let you go!” The Celestial State Hellish-Insect roared sharply, but the voice became more and more low.
Liu Ming ignored it with a blank face. He infused his mental power into the Celestial State Hellish-Insect’s soul.
After a long time, Liu Ming opened his eyes, rubbed his hands together, and destroyed the Hellish-Insect’s soul.
At this time, a green escape light came toward him. After a flash, Long Yanfei appeared.
When the woman saw the corpse of the earthworm Hellish-Insect on the ground, her pupils shrank slightly, then she was delighted. She waved and recalled the small silver sword from the corpse of the Hellish-Insect.
The light of the small silver sword was slightly dimmed. Obviously, its spirituality was damaged a little in the belly of Hellish-Insect, but it was not a big problem.
Long Yanfei finally breathed a sigh of relief, then she said,
“Junior Fellow Apprentice Liu is really extraordinary. You kill a Celestial State Hellish-Insect by yourself in just a short while. If this matter is reported to the sect, I’m afraid that you will get a lot of rewards.”
“Senior sister apprentice has overpraised.” Liu Ming smiled and looked in front of the valley not far away.
“Your current strength is probably the number one among the Celestial State cultivators. Sister Jia Lan is really lucky.” Long Yanfei said in a tone of envy.
“Senior Sister Apprentice Long has overrated me.” Liu Ming replied absent-mindedly. He glanced at the Hellish-Insect corpse on the ground and waved his hand. A golden chakram flew out of it and returned to his hand in a mini golden chakram.
“The matter here is over. Senior Fellow Apprentice Kun should also start to clear up the Hellish-Insects hidden in the mineral vein. Senior Sister Apprentice Long, please return this thing to Senior Fellow Apprentice Kun. I still have some matters to deal with it.” Liu Ming handed the mini golden chakram to Long Yanfei. Before she could answer, he turned into a black light and rushed toward the distance.

Long Yanfei took the mini golden chakram and watched Liu Ming leaving at an unimaginable speed with a dazed expression.
Although she was a little curious about what Liu Ming was going to do, she didn’t catch up with him. Instead, she turned around and flew back.
After 15 minutes, in front of a certain valley on Jade Mountain Peak, Liu Ming’s figure stood in mid-air. When he found that Long Yanfei didn’t follow him, he was relieved slightly. He looked into the cave in front.
In the memory of the Celestial State Hellish-Insect, in addition to discovering the situation of Mountain Qingsang’s Hellish-Insects, he also discovered a secret, which was the cave in front.
There must be a reason that the Celestial State Hellish-Insect fled in this direction!
He chanted, wrapped himself in a black light and flew into the cave.
This cave was meandering to the underground.
After a while, he came to a huge underground cave. There was a black square stone gate several meters in size carved out on the stone wall. It was obviously built by man, but the stone gate had been destroyed at this moment.
Liu Ming’s heart skipped a beat, and he flew in slowly.
Behind the stone gate was a stone chamber space tens of meters in size. It seemed to be a cave house of a cultivator.
The stone chamber was empty. There was almost nothing at first glance, except for a circular stone platform several meters in size protruding from the center.
The stone platform looked quite primitive. It should have been around for countless years. In the center of the platform was an irregular green stone slab with a size of 3 meters. Countless densely packed runes and patterns were engraved on it. At first glance, it seemed to be an extremely complicated disk array.
Dozens of green spirit stones were inlaid around the stone slab, exuding a faint light. Liu Ming recognized that these were the spirit gathering stones.
At this moment, a green light beam was emitting from the green slab, shooting straight at the ceiling.
“It seems that this should be a teleportation array. No wonder that Celestial State Hellish-Insect wants to escape here.” Liu Ming carefully identified the patterns on the green stone slab. Based on his understanding of the array, these array patterns were similar to the teleportation arrays seen before.
But it was just similar, the pattern on this green stone slab was much more complicated than any teleportation arrays he had seen. Part of the patterns on the stone slab was dim as if it was damaged.
According to the memory of the Celestial State earthworm Hellish-Insect, it accidentally discovered the array here. It didn’t pay attention to this array at first. It was only when it was dying that it thought of here.
Liu Ming looked at the green stone slab in front and threw a black lizard into the green light beam.
This was the little beastkin he just caught casually in the valley.
With a flash of green light, the black lizard disappeared without a trace.
A gleam of joy suddenly appeared in Liu Ming’s eyes. This ancient green array was indeed a teleportation array. Because of the small gathering spirit circle embedded in the stone board, it had not lost its effectiveness until now. Because of its special structure, it could teleport someone without the need to activate it.
He could see clearly that all the spiritual power of the spirit gathering array was concentrated on this green stone slab, and the stone slab was not connected to the stone platform below, which meant that the green stone slab itself was a movable teleportation array. As long as there was enough spiritual power, it could be activated
He had never heard that the teleportation array could be moved. Generally speaking, the space coordinates of the teleportation array between 2 areas were fixed. It was impossible to have a moveable location.
But the green stone slab in front…
Liu Ming walked a few steps to the stone platform and lifted up the stone slab, but the array on it flashed and dissipated.
He was startled, then he placed the green stone slab on the stone platform again, but unfortunately, the patterns on the stone slab no longer lit up.
Liu Ming’s face looked uncertain for a while, but he let out a soft sigh and looked at the spirit gathering stones inlaid on the stone slab.
The spiritual power in the dozens of spirit gathering stones above suddenly disappeared without a trace as if they were being swallowed by something at once.

Wildling
Blurb: Silas--a scavenger living off the ruins of humanity--has spent his entire life fighting tooth and nail to provide for himself and his crew. But when a scavenging run goes awry and he's snatched up by an android patrol, he finds himself thrown into a cage and priced to sell as a pet. And when a suitor comes calling, he fears the worst: that he'll be turned into a Domestic, a human lapdog brainwashed into total obedience. Instead, he discovers an equally disturbing truth: that the creatures who stole his world have created a videogame the likes of which Earth has never seen; a sprawling, game-like theme park where humans are the Avatars and androids are the players who control them. And to make matters worse, his android guide is as hopeless as they come, having gotten all of her previous Avatars killed in record time. So if Silas wants to regain his freedom, he'll not only have to fight his way through a world that was specifically designed to murder him in brutal fashion--he'll also have to convince his android guide that he should be the one calling the shots. FAQS: Q: Who are you, handsome stranger? A: I'm Kyle Kirrin, the author of Shadeslinger, book 1 of The Ripple System, published by Portal Books, and I write crunchy LitRPG. Q: What is Wildling? And is it complete? A: Wildling is a crunchy LitRPG mash up of Fantasy and Science Fiction. And yup, Wildling is already complete at 64 chapters, or about 120,000 thousand words. You're looking at something like a third draft here--it's fairly polished, but it hasn't been picked over by a copy editor yet nor has my developmental editor seen it. Q: Upload schedule? A: 5 initial chapters today (2/15/2021) and one chapter a day for the next month. After that I'll probably slow down to 2 or 3 chapters a week until the story is complete. Q: How crunchy is it? A: It's pretty crunchy. I'd put it on the same tier as Ascend/The Land/RSSG, but it might be a bit crunchier than those three? Q: Is this the first book in a series or a web novel or what? And what are your plans for it? A: It's currently a standalone with series potential. Full disclosure: this story may head the way of my publisher eventually, but will be available on RR for quite a while no matter what. Likely several months after it's complete with plenty of warning before/if it's taken down. Q: What kind of build does the MC create? A: Sword and board! Q: Crafting? A: Plenty! Crafting isn't as center stage as it is in The Way of the Shaman, but it's close. Q: Base building? A: Two fully separate, distinct bases, both of which play a major role in the story. Q: VRMMO? Portal? Reincarnation or what? A: This one's a bit tricky. Basically an advanced race has created a game-like world that closely resembles a theme park. Think Westworld but with copious amounts of loot. And the MC has to fight his way through that to earn his freedom. Q: Permadeath? A: Nope! The MC gets 3 lives to play through the entirety of the game world, and death is extremely punishing, but not fatal. Q: Harem? Or romance? A: No and no. Q: Cursing? Blood? A: Quite a bit of cursing, yeah. There's blood, too, but it's not a gory book by any means. Q: How can I support? A: Instead of a Patreon/donations etc, I'd ask that you consider giving my debut LitRPG Shadeslinger a chance. It's free on Kindle Unlimited and the audio is already out narrated by Travis Baldree. It's an epic fantasy VRMMO where the main character gets 3 days of exclusive access to a new game plus a snarky, talking axe to guide him through it in exchange for agreeing to become the target of a serverwide manhunt once the Head Start period ends. Q: How's it similar to Wildling? And how's it different? A. The crunch level is very similar, but Shadeslinger is a much lighter, epic fantasy take on the genre. It's also VRMMO, but without any real world components aside from the first chapter. The MC is very different--he comes off as a bit of a jerk early on and can take a bit to warm up to, especially before his backstory is revealed--but he's also got a talking axe that constantly puts him in his place. Shadeslinger's a much more humorous story in general, and it's a great deal more polished as well. Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy Wildling!
