Chapter 1149: Promotion to Esoteric Disciple
After Liu Ming left the main peak of Taiqing Sect, he quickly flew back to the cave house in the Fallen Serene Peak.
3 days later, the inner disciples of the Taiqing Sect began to return to their respective peaks. The Hellish-Insects around Sunset Peak had almost been cleared.
Although the Taiqing Sect had suffered some casualties, the whole Taiqing Sect was still filled with the excitement of victory.
However, Liu Ming knew nothing about these. After he returned to the Fallen Serene Peak’s cave house, he immediately trained inside the secret room.
He had just received personal guidance from Grand Elder Xuan Yu, which was of great help to him. Especially when he asked a few questions about the bottlenecks encountered in the cultivation of Hell Bone Secret, all of which were answered one by one. Now, he couldn’t wait to test them.
At this moment, a black light flew in from the outside, turned into a sound transmission talisman, and flickered beside Liu Ming.
Amidst the spiritual light, Yin Jiuling’s voice came from the talisman.
“Quickly come to the main hall.”
Liu Ming was trying to figure out a bottleneck at the moment, although he felt a little reluctant, he still got up and left the cave house.
Not long after, he arrived outside the main hall of Fallen Serene Peak.
Outside the main hall, he didn’t see the disciple guarding the gate. Instead, there was a girl in black. She had a graceful figure. Hearing the whistling sound, she turned around immediately. It turned out to be Xiao Wu.
“Xiao Senior Sister Wu!” Liu Ming was startled and hurriedly greeted her.
Back then in Evil Ghost Way, he got along well with Xiao Wu. However, after returning to Taiqing Sect this time, he had been living in seclusion because he accepted the secret mission from Immortal Tian Ge. This was the first time he had met Xiao Wu.
“It turns out that Junior Fellow Apprentice Liu is here. It’s been a long time.” Xiao Wu glanced at Liu Ming. For some reason, her face turned slightly red.
“Is Master Yin in the main hall?” Although Liu Ming felt that Xiao Wu’s expression was a little strange, he didn’t delve into it and asked.
“In addition to Master, Elder Jin Lieyang is also in the hall.” Seeing Liu Ming’s calm expression, Xiao Wu felt a little lost for no reason.
“Thank you senior sister apprentice for letting me know.” Liu Ming heard that Jin Lieyang was also there, his eyes flashed. He could roughly guess the purpose of Yin Jiuling’s summoning him. He cupped his fist to Xiao Wu and strode toward the main hall.
Xiao Wu looked at Liu Ming’s fading figure, and sighed faintly, with a hint of resentment faintly appearing in his eyes.
After Liu Ming walked into the hall, Yin Jiuling and Jin Lieyang were indeed there. Besides the 2, there was also an elder surnamed Tian of the Fallen Serene Peak.
“Greetings to Master and all elders.” Liu Ming bowed to everyone.
“Okay, get up. I summoned you here today because the Hellish-Insects near our sect has been finished up. Your mission has far exceeded the expectations of Sect Master Tian Ge, so you of course passed the test of the esoteric disciple. Elder Jin is here to promote you to the esoteric disciple under the order of Sect Master.” Yin Jiuling looked at Liu Ming with a very kind gaze, and his half dry and half moist face was full of complacency. He said slowly.

Being able to teach an esoteric disciple, he was also full of pride.
Elder Tian also nodded slightly toward Liu Ming at this moment, but there was a slight strangeness in the depths of his eyes looking at Liu Ming. He seemed to be thinking about something.
“Thank you, Master, Elder Jin!” Although Liu Ming had already guessed it in his heart, he was still happy.
“Junior Fellow Apprentice Liu, you don’t have to be so polite. You and I are old acquaintances. What’s more, you earned this esoteric disciple with your own ability. I didn’t do much.” Jin Lieyang said with a laugh, then his face became serious. He took out a faint yellow jade book and opened it.
Buzz!
There was a low buzzing sound in the space. A seemingly substantial yellow light was emanated from the jade book.
Liu Ming squinted.
This jade book was extremely spiritual, seeming to be a special treasure.
Yin Jiuling and the elder surnamed Tian both showed emotion when they saw the yellow jade book.
“Hehe, this is the Futu Jade Book. All esoteric disciples must register their names on it. Junior Fellow Apprentice Liu, give me your inner disciple token.” Jin Lieyang smiled and said.
Liu Ming immediately took out the identity token of Fallen Serene Peak and handed it to Jin Lieyang.
Jin Lieyang took it, chanted and launched a ray of light at Liu Ming’s token. After a while, a light beam flew out from the token and landed on the yellow jade book.
There was a flash of light on the yellow jade book, and 2 small characters ‘Liu Ming’ appeared on it. Under the name, a dim flame pattern appeared in a red flash.
Jin Lieyang returned the identity token to Liu Ming, then he waved the yellow jade book in front of Liu Ming and said, “Junior Fellow Apprentice Liu, put a drop of your blood on the pattern below your name.”
Without thinking too much, Liu Ming cut his finger, and a drop of blood flew out, slowly seeping into the flame pattern below his name.
Boom!
The flame pattern flashed and became brighter as if a flame had really ignited.
“This flame pattern is called the Vital True Spirit Pattern. With the power of the Futu Jade Book, it can ignite a vital fire for every esoteric disciple to grasp the situation of each esoteric disciple.” Jin Lieyang explained.
Liu Ming suddenly realized that those who could become esoteric disciples were those with high qualifications and great potential for development. Taiqing Sect naturally needed to ensure the life and death conditions of these people. At the same time, they could make comprehensive guarantees.
“Okay, it’s done. Junior Fellow Apprentice Liu is considered a member of the esoteric disciples. This is the esoteric disciple token.” Jin Lieyang smiled and handed a green token to Liu Ming.
“Thank you, Senior Fellow Apprentice Jin.” Liu Ming was slightly startled. He didn’t expect the ritual to become the esoteric disciple to be so simple. After thanking him, he took the token.
One side of the token was engraved with the words ‘Liu Ming’, and the other side was engraved with ‘Geng Way 29’.

“Geng Way 29 is the new cave house of Junior Fellow Apprentice Liu in the Futu Palace. Junior Fellow Apprentice is now an esoteric disciple. You can move there at any time.” Jin Lieyang explained.
“Oh.” Liu Ming was enlightened.
Now that the ceremony was over, Jin Lieyang didn’t stay here any longer and left.
Yin Jiuling and Elder Tian naturally got up and saw him off.
After seeing off Jin Lieyang, they returned to the main hall. Xiao Wu, who had been standing outside the door, also walked in.
“Haha, Liu Ming, you performed very well in this battle. Now that you have been promoted to esoteric disciple, I’m very pleased to be your Master.” Yin Jiuling laughed and said very proudly.
The elder surnamed Tian also had a very happy face, and he stroked his beard lightly.
“Thanks to Master’s usual teaching that disciple can complete the mission.” Liu Ming said humbly.
Seeing that Liu Ming was still humble after becoming an esoteric disciple that was now on an equal footing with the masters of other peaks, he was very delighted.
“Actually, I called you over today. Apart from the promotion to the esoteric disciple, there is one more thing I need to discuss with you. Just yesterday, Tianyin Shangren from Piaomiao Peak came to visit and discuss your marriage with Jia Lan.” He changed the subject.
Liu Ming was startled when he heard the words, then he showed a complicated look.
“According to the original agreement, as long as one of you and Nephew Disciple Jia Lan breaks through to the Real Pellet State, a dual cultivation ceremony will be held for you 2. However, after discussing with Elder Tian, I feel that it is still not suitable yet since the Middle Sky Continent is currently in the catastrophe of the Hellish-Insect Clan, so we plan to postpone it to a later time. What do you think about it?” Yin Jiuling asked with his eyes flickering.
Hearing this, Liu Ming frowned and became thoughtful.
Seeing Liu Ming’s expression, Yin Jiuling exchanged a glance with the elder named Tian beside him.
Xiao Wu who was standing aside looked at Liu Ming with bright eyes.
“Master’s consideration is right. Now that our sect is busy, I should focus on training to improve my strength as much as possible.” Liu Ming said after pondering for a moment.
“Great, as a cultivator, we should naturally put our own cultivation as the most important thing. You don’t have to worry about this matter. Master will discuss it with the Peak Master Tianyin.” Yin Jiuling’s eyes flashed with joy, and he nodded in agreement.
“Thank you, Master.” Liu Ming seemed to be relieved, and he cupped his fist to thank.
“Hehe, although you are already an esoteric disciple, you are my Yin Jiuling’s disciple after all. Master will take care of these trivial matters for you.” Yin Jiuling smiled.
“Actually, with Nephew Disciple Liu’s current status and strength, even if you are looking for a dual cultivation partner, you should find a Real Pellet State female cultivator with comparable cultivation. How important a dual cultivation partner is? The female disciple of Piaomiao Peak is only at the Pseudo Pellet State now. She is still far away from the Real Pellet State. Senior Fellow Apprentice Yin, I think this matter should be reconsidered carefully.” Elder Tian said suddenly.
Hearing this, Yin Jiuling’s expression seemed to change, then he glanced at Liu Ming with peripheral sight.
Xiao Wu at the side was shocked when she heard this, and she looked at Liu Ming with a strange look.
“Since disciple has agreed to this marriage that day, I won’t go back on my word. Regardless of cultivation level, I will marry Junior Sister Apprentice Jia Lan. It’s just that the timing is not right now. When the Hellish-Insect Clan catastrophe is over, disciple will personally go to the Piaomiao Peak to marry her.” After hearing this, Liu Ming said without hesitation.
Elder Tian was startled slightly. He glanced at Yin Jiuling, and he stopped talking.
Xiao Wu’s eyes flashed a strange light.
“Okay, since you have made up your mind, I will discuss it with Peak Master Tianyin.” Yin Jiuling frowned, but after a while, he still nodded slowly.
“Thank you for your concern, Master. If there is nothing else, disciple will leave first.” Liu Ming bowed again and said.
“Okay, I won’t delay your training. You already have a new cave house in Futu Palace, so you can move there as soon as possible, but you should come to the Fallen Serene Peak from time to time. Although Xiao Wu has also cultivated to the Real Pellet State, her cultivation is still shalow, not as profound as yours. If there is an opportunity in the future, you 2 should communicate more.” Yin Jiuling said with a hint.
Liu Ming was startled when he heard this, and he glanced at Xiao Wu who hadn’t spoken the whole time.
Feeling Liu Ming’s gaze, Xiao Wu’s face blushed slightly. She made eye contact with Liu Ming, then she looked away shyly.
Liu Ming smiled wryly in his mind. How could he not understand the intention of Yin Jiuling and that Elder Tian?

The Orb Weaver Chronicles
"The Orb Weaver Chronicles contains several major and unique events that may or may not unknowingly intertwines with one another. The author of these chronicles is unknown, although some have hinted at the symbolism behind its name..." - Year unknown, location unknown 9 February 2022 Update: Welcome to the companion short story compilation of my novel trilogy The Shadow Paradigm. This compilation features prequels, sidequels and sequels to the novel's major plotline, as well as featuring a wide range of characters, new and recurring. Prior knowledge of the novel is not necessary as the Orb Weaver Chronicles' short stories are standalone. Once called The Arkesyyan Chronicles, I've deleted quite a few of its old stories. Due to the new avenue and revision, oriented toward more mystery and film-noir ambience, that I took my stories into, I've removed all aliens and overly sci-fi aspects of the whole TSP lineup, so I've updated the Orb Weaver Chronicles accordingly. I hope you enjoy them, and in time, a revised version will also be updated.

As of May 18th, 2015, the particular version of Ant Tensei now being titled 'Original' was discontinued in favor 'Redux', the official rewrite of the novel. The reason being that I wasn't actually taking it seriously for more than half of the chapters. All of my Fantasy-Styled works were never originally intended for publication, but after a surprising amount of attention during the initial weeks of release on a different medium, the decision was made to develop my Fantasy-Styled works at my professional level. This decision has thus sparked the decision to Re-Launch Ant Tensei as "Ant Tensei Redux". If there are still a number of those still interested in the old version of the story that was written as a way to relieve myself of excess time, then i'll eventually look into reviving the original intent for Ant Tensei Original and draft off an independant series for it under the title "Ant Tensei Original". For now, however, "Ant Tensei Redux" shall be the only version being progressively developed and released. Please share your thoughts on this early version of my original novel, Ant Tensei. There were 14 chapters of Original released before the development of Redux began, the chapter 7.5 special not included. . . . Enjoy the work. ~White Overall Status: (Ongoing)
