Chapter 242
Chapter 242: Do I Look Like A Saviour?; The So-Called Directing Actor.
Although she was now more satisfied with Gu Changge’s answer than in the beginning, Yaoyao still felt somewhat irritable and uncomfortable.
Yet even she herself did not know why she was so upset.
Sometimes, the master is closer than one’s own relatives.
Yaoyao had always firmly kept this sentence in her mind.
Since her brother had been possessed, and her Grandma was probably severely injured or dead, the only family member she had left was her master.
“I have already taken revenge for your Brother Jiang Yang, so you no longer need to be sad about this matter in the future.”
“I met the man who possessed him in the depths of Yuhua Heavenly Pond, captured him, and then learned some information regarding you from his mouth, before killing him.”
“However, the thing that possessed your brother was just a strand of Xianlun Supreme’s soul. The real murderer is still somewhere up in the Upper Realm.”
“But Yaoyao needn’t worry. Master will naturally find him when the time comes…” After that, Gu Changge continued to speak, taking the initiative to talk about Yaoyao’s brother.
Jiang Yang was already dead.
The Reincarnation Seal was also suppressed, getting devoured within the Black Dao Bottle.
However, as per usual, there was no reason to tell Yaoyao the truth of this detailed process.
And since Yaoyao herself did not know Jiang Yang’s true identity, Gu Changge was able to smoothly manipulate her into believing that the real murderer was the Xianlun Supreme. This would lead her to place all the blame on the Xianlun Supreme’s head.
After all, her dear Master would never deceive her, right?
With this added layer of cause and effect, even if the peach tree behind Yaoyao wanted to have some ideas, it would be impossible to figure out any flaws.
The Xianlun Supreme was indeed an accomplice of the Human Ancestor.
Haven’t the traces of the Human Ancestor’s existence been wiped out by Gu Changge?
At that time, the Peach Tree would only be able to find out about the Xianlun Supreme. And as it was, he was indeed the one who left behind both the Xianlun Seal and Xianlun Sacred Land when he ascended from the Tianchen Realm.
“I see, thank you, Master.”
Yaoyao nodded when she heard Gu Changge say this.
She would have tried her best to solve this hatred, even if Gu Changge didn’t take action.
Gu Changge had helped her solve a portion of it, but Yaoyao felt that she needed to solve the rest by herself.
“Yaoyao!”
At that moment, Grandma, who had been hiding beside the Heavenly Pond, suddenly shouted in shock and surprise.
There were tears on her old face, and she looked very excited.
She had originally wanted to save Yaoyao when she fell into the Heavenly Pond.
But the figure of the terrifying existence standing in the sky made her not dare to move a single step, its breath suppressed all directions, covering the world at large.
As for Yaoyao’s safety, Grandma was naturally extremely worried, but could only feel anxious in the end, incapable of acting.
She really did not expect that Yaoyao would be rescued instead by Gu Changge.
“Grandma…!”
Yaoyao almost shouted in joy. She thought that Grandma was sure to have perished under the shadow of that terrifying figure, and was unable to contain her happiness at her survival.
“You two Grandmother and Granddaughter should reunite and chat first.”
“I still have things to do.”

At this time, Gu Changge finally placed Yaoyao down and spoke in a gentle tone, his gaze falling onto the monstrous figure floating in the blood-filled sky.
“Okay, Master.”
Yaoyao was very sensible and knew exactly what Gu Changge was talking about.
Her eyes filled with admiration.
A murky fog surged as the landscape cracked apart. Even the great dome of the sky had broken open like a collapsed mirror, burning and shattering, falling down on the ground.
Such a scene was extremely terrifying, not only disturbing Yaoyao and Grandma, but also many of the powerful existences within the Tian Domain who had been paying attention to the place.
The sky had fallen.
Cracks had formed throughout the surrounding space.
At this time, who could possibly mend the damage?
Boom!
The figure shrouded in fog, shimmering in the grey sky, suddenly opened its cold and ruthless eyes. A monstrous vision of bloody oceans surged, accompanied by the terrifying suppression from revolving universes, spinning in the palm of the figure’s hand.
Its strength, strong enough to turn everything into oblivion.
The stench of rot and carnage swept through the surrounding area.
As if a Supreme Demon had been awakened.
And at this moment, not only the entire Tian Domain, but even the Di, Xuan, and Hong Domain… all of the Tianchen Realm could feel this unparalleled aura.
As if the world was on the verge of destruction, and the universe on the brink of collapse!
Countless creatures and cultivators trembled beneath this aura. The overwhelming pressure alone was enough to cause their souls to shake and falter.
This was a heavenly catastrophe.
Divine chains of laws and rules intertwined in the clouds, as a fire burnt the horizon and stars began to fall, an endless line of death. Creation itself rumbled as the ground rent!
The whole world seemed to be coming to an end.
“How could it be…?”
“Exactly what was hidden under this damned Yuhua Heavenly Pond?! Why does it feel like this Qi has already exceeded the range of power which our world can bear!”
“A Supreme Demon… just awakened. It has almost destroyed the whole sky. This is an existence which is destined to bring ruin to all living beings…”
“What can even be done…?”
The ancient existences residing in those Divine Mountains and Restricted Areas looked at this terrible scene with trembling voices, their souls in a state of disarray, as they started to despair.
This was no longer something that any Tianchen Realm cultivator could possibly contend with.
The destruction of the sky was only the beginning.
An unparalleled Supreme Demon had completely recovered and walked out of the Yuhua Heavenly Pond, yet no one was able to stop its rampage across the entire Tianchen Realm.
And it would soon become the despair of all living entities.
Looking at its state now, it seemed to be trapped within the Yuhua Heavenly Pond.
But how long could it last?
The demonic power had already broken through to the sky.
At this moment, united by the fear of death, countless creatures and cultivators did what only those mortal humans would usually do:
They fell to their knees. Faces pale and in despair.
They cupped their hands together and faced their heads to the ground.
Every arrogant cultivator and beast there, prayed wholeheartedly for a saviour to appear.
“Hmm?”
“Do I look that much like a saviour?”
“But this disaster, it’s indeed time to end it.”
Standing by the Heavenly Pond, Gu Changge’s tall figure dressed in white and flowing robes, seemed to be surrounded by an endless Immortal Aura.

Hearing the prayers emanating from all over the world, a look of interest appeared on his handsome and refreshed features.
“Master is truly the saviour sent by God to save us…”
Yaoyao spoke firmly. Her admiration and belief in Gu Changge were now unshakable.
The power of her Master was beyond anyone’s imagination!
“The descent of a Supreme Immortal… was this the day everyone had waited for?”
Grandma’s reverence for Gu Changge was akin to a believer’s reverence for their god.
She thought he had fallen in the pond.
Yet he unexpectedly showed up again today, using his strength to suppress the Supreme Demon.
Gu Changge’s mere presence caused the world to shift!
And at this moment, the Supreme Immortal finally took a step forward.
Boom!
Rainbow colours emerged. The Divine aura and Immortal lights flickered from reality, as if they disappeared and reappeared at a moment’s notice.
Hanging up and down, black particles filled the air, as if containing dead worlds.
Heaven and Earth resonated as the Dao chants sounded.
True Dragons, Immortal Phoenixes, Vermillion Birds, Kunpengs, and many other peerless Beast of Divinity soon appeared, like young Immortal Emperors patrolling the Heavens!
A power so mighty that it suppressed all the laws present!
The Yuhua Heavenly Pond rumbled as the divine chain of order descended.
It was an otherworldly strength. A level of power that had far surpassed the constraints of the Tianchen Realm, reaching the point of being unimaginable to the inhabitants of this world.
The majestic Qi and blood dragons lined up boundless mountains.
Running through the sky, they tore apart the universe, entangling with endless chaotic energy!
Heaven and Earth halted.
Each of the cardinal directions grew silent.
“It’s… it’s that Supreme Immortal…”
“Didn’t he fall… already fall into the Yuhua Heavenly Pond?”
The strongest being in the Divine Mountains asked in disbelief, his voice quivering.
Innumerable cultivators and creatures watched this scene with palpitating hearts.
A miracle. A miracle had happened. It was even hard for them to imagine that at this time, a saviour had really emerged to save the world and liberate them from evil!
And it was also the same Immortal suspected to have fallen into the Yuhua Heavenly Pond.
For a time, every cultivator and creature from all around Tianchen Realm knelt down and kowtowed in the Supreme Immortal’s direction, gushing with incomparable reverence.
The humming of prayers and chants resounded throughout the world!
“Today, this Immortal will suppress and banish you, the Supreme Demon, into the hellish abyss where you belong! The world will be at peace once more!”
Gu Changge stood up and shouted at the monstrous figure within the grey fog, “The Heaven and Earth, and all living beings will not allow you to wreak havoc on our world. Go to hell, demon!”
An awe-inspiring, boundless light of morality and justice was overflowing from his body!
1
Hearing this, the cultivators and creatures were all whipped up into a frenzy.
Many even burst into tears. At that moment, they felt unquestionable righteousness. A grand will to eradicate all great evils of the world at any cost!
Boom!
The battle soon broke out. Furious storms clashed against one another.
Gu Changge’s Qi permeated the surrounding air, boundless and limitless, covering the earth and sky in a single heartbeat.
Cardinal directions shook as the essence of the world shifted.
As if a supreme force had suppressed the entire realm.
Each of his individual cells emitted a dazzling light, bursting with extreme power!
Bang!
In between the Heavens… a grey fog surged and slithered.
But with that loud bang, the demonic energy was scattered apart, as if the mysterious figure’s bones had broken and crumbled. The horizon was tinted crimson by the ensuing rain. Droplets of immortal blood ruptured, as slags of flesh and meat chunks splattered everywhere.
A dense blood mist spread through the air.
And within this world dyed red, only Gu Changge’s flawless white robes remained untouched!
Eternal. Unparalleled. Gu Changge had destroyed this terrifying figure with a single strike!
The demonic mist that was like a dark abyss gobbling up the sun vanished in an instant.
Everything returned to calm.
In the eyes of every cultivator and creature, Gu Changge’s back loomed large over the Heavens.
Their blood boiled with emotion!
“I didn’t expect the Supreme Immortal to be a person with such a heart… I’m ashamed!”
“If I even had a sliver of the Immortal’s bravery, I would die happy!”
At this time, those supreme existences hiding nearby were also infected by the frenzy, and became equally as excited. They rose up from every corner of the Tianchen Realm to assist the Supreme Immortal in suppressing the Supreme Demon as much as they could.
Puff!
However, before this group of beings could approach the Yuhua Heavenly Pond, they were blown to smithereens by the smoky astral winds of the broken sky dome, and killed.
Both body and Primordial Spirit quickly turned into ashes.
This scene shocked everyone and made countless creatures tremble in fear.
Sure enough, this kind of thing was not something ordinary people could do.
At the same time, their reverence for Gu Changge only grew deeper. Exactly what kind of courage must one need in order to fight for the sake of righteousness and the world?
Especially in a battle of life and death like this.
“Master will be just fine!”
“He’s our saviour!”
Yaoyao clenched her hands tightly, before Grandma led her away from the battlefield, for fear of them being caught inside the aftershocks.
She harboured zero doubts about Gu Changge’s inevitable victory.
Her Master would definitely be able to sweep away all sorts of troubles, no matter how big!
In the end, the terrifying battle that shocked the entire Tianchen Realm lasted for a long time, before ending with an earth-shattering roar.
A roar that sounded extremely unwilling and despairing.
Immediately afterwards, an endless black light shot out, covering the world. The outsiders could no longer see what was going on inside the Yuhua Heavenly Pond.
But soon, the grey fog dissipated, disappearing completely alongside the terrifying aftermath.
The Yuhua Heavenly Pond was also turned into ashes during this battle.
Nothing but ruins and dust remained.
Divine mountains, Heavenly Lakes, Primordial Trees… all gone and as the grey fog vanished.
Sunlight fell again upon the Heavens and Earth, as the dome of the sky was restored. Everyone was shocked to see that the broken space seemed to have been repaired by the Supreme Immortal!
The scourge was finally stopped.
However, the Supreme Immortal seemed to have also disappeared in the end, becoming the Tianchen Realm’s biggest regret and mystery in the following millennia to come.
The Supreme Immortal, who cleared all calamities for the beings of the world, had flown away with the wind alongside that grey fog, with even his life and death unknown.
A grand mystery that would never be solved.
Having said that, many people believed that it was impossible for the Supreme Immortal to have had any issues because of his power that was above the boundaries of this world.
It was more likely that upon solving the calamity, he had decided to return to the Upper Realm.
Some even thought that the entire reason why the Supreme Immortal had rushed towards the Yuhua Heavenly Pond was actually to suppress this Supreme Demon lurking within it.
The Yuhua Heavenly Pond was originally the place where Immortals sealed the fiercest of demons. It was said that the day the seal was broken, would be the day Tianchen Realm ushered in its demise.
As for the Supreme Immortal…
He was truly the saviour from Heaven that the Tianchen Realm had been waiting for so long.
All kinds of rumours spread throughout the populace, growing more and more outrageous as they spread, though people always kept a firm attitude that all of it was truth and nothing less.
After all, the scene on the day of reckoning could almost be considered something spoken about in myths or legends. And what’s more, a blurry image of the battle that day—preserved with a picture stone—had been circulating in various places, only further cementing the fanatics’ faith.
This incident was thus recorded in the annals of Tianchen’s history, captured in detail for cultivators of the future generation to worship and recite in awe.
There was even a ruin built by countless cultivators, entombed as the Immortal Shrine.
People from all around visited daily to offer incense and prayers.
Of course, this all happened much, much later on.
In the present, Gu Changge had already left the Tian Domain while bringing along Yaoyao, ready to take her back to the Upper Realm.
Unfortunately, in the end, Grandma did not choose to leave with Yaoyao. She was relieved with leaving Yaoyao in Gu Changge’s care.
Furthermore, she herself still possessed lingering regrets and unresolved matters she needed to finish up in the Tianchen Realm. Her old sect, in particular, was one of the reasons she didn’t want to leave the Tianchen Realm as of yet.
And although Yaoyao was quite reluctant to part with her, she expressed her understanding, and did not force Grandma to leave with her in the end.
This was also partly because she believed in her Master’s boundless methods, and had surmised that he’d be able to bring her back to the Tianchen Realm at any time.
After all, the Supreme Immortal who suppressed such a powerful Supreme Demon could surely accomplish anything he set his mind to.
Gu Changge barely even looked injured following the aftermath of that massive war.
But of course, he was loathed to tell Yaoyao that the Supreme Demon who seemed to be on the verge of destroying the whole world… was simply just his own Innate God.
It had no plans to conquer or annihilate the world at all, and he himself had no spare time to do so.
It was all merely a ploy. An act he directed and acted out in front of the beings of the Tianchen Realm to masquerade as the saviour of the world.
The many influences to follow were actually not very important.
And obviously, utilizing this incident, he also casually brushed up the image of himself as a righteous master of unparalleled greatness in Yaoyao’s eyes.
In addition, this matter would be a safeguard for him if any supreme existence intended to deduce the whereabouts of the Human Ancestor’s Reincarnation. Once they finally found the traces located in Tianchen, they’d have no choice but to suspect Gu Changge as the Reincarnated Human Ancestor.
A chess piece played ahead of time.
Though he was unsure if anyone would even probe into it.
Gu Changge obtained a lot of benefits through his actions there too. It was no wonder that Jiang Yang liked to practice harvesting the faith of others.
Belief was essentially the purest form of nourishment that could strengthen one’s Primordial Spirit.
It’s just that Gu Changge never believed in this.
For him, faith was nothing but rootless duckweed, which could collapse at any time. The equivalent of building a castle on flowing sand. Something that was unable to last very long.
However, upon undergoing refinement from inside the Black Dao Bottle, even this useless sentiment could be used as another resource to help in his cultivation.
After cleaning up his traces and tying up loose ends, Gu Changge brought Yaoyao atop some random mountain he had found while flying.
“Yaoyao. Today, as your teacher, this Immortal will take you out of the Tianchen realm and return to the Upper Realm.” He spoke with a smile.
And Yaoyao, unaware of the cunning and murderous devil hiding beneath that grin, simply replied with a cute little smile of her own.
“Okay, Master.”
