Chapter 130: Betrayal
Looking at these humans, Ershania was confused.
She had anticipated that other races would rat Yuchi out. That would be understandable since no one would sacrifice themselves for an unfamiliar human under such circumstances.
However, the humans had forsaken their own kind, which was mind-boggling.
Why did these humans choose to tell that angel about Yuchi. Did they not know that he wanted to kill Yuchi?
If an expert like Yuchi had appeared in her elven race, then even if all of the elves in the Black Heaven sect were annihilated, none of them would rat that expert out.
It was important for the survival of the race that the strongest experts survived. Only in that way would they be able to develop the race and make it stronger in order to take revenge on their enemies. This was a standard practice among most of the myriad races.
However, the human race did not seem to abide by this logic.
“Even if Senior gave up the position of sect master and handed it to Prometheus, Senior’s name has still spread throughout the Black Heaven sect.”
“As a result, the lives of many humans in the Black Heaven sect have improved greatly. Furthermore, the members of the other races became wary of them because there was a powerful person supporting the human race. ”
“I cannot understand the actions of these humans!”
Everyone present knew that Yuchi was the person the angel was looking for, but they did not know where he was. However, these human traitors did, and willingly informed the angel about this.
Ershania was not the only one confused. The members of the other races scoffed at these humans’ actions.
They all had the same contemptuous thought running through their minds…
Are these humans trying to gain the angel’s favor?

If so, they were pretty dumb. If the angel killed Yuchi, the status of the human race in the Black Heaven sect would hit rock bottom.
At that time, these humans would be bullied by the other races for being useless and traitorous.
…
To Fan Yuhe, this matter was surprising.
There were two unexpected things.
First off, he had not expected the one who defeated Long Fengyun to be a human.
He was deep in thought.
“When did such a powerful expert appear among the human race?”
“He was actually able to drive Long Fengyun away and take over the position of sect master of the Black Heaven sect.”
“If I remember correctly, aren’t the humans playing house with the traitors of the dragon race in some remote corner somewhere? How could such a powerful person have emerged from that trash heap?”
“Also, why did he hand the position of sect master to someone else?”
It was strange, and Fan Yuhe could not comprehend how this situation had come to be.
However, he was still a prideful angel, so he ended up coming up with his own warped conclusion.
“The reason why this human called Yuchi left the Black Heaven sect was because he was very worried that if he became the sect master as a human, he would attract the hatred of the myriad races. If that happened, he would not be able to defend himself and would end up dead.”
From his perspective, this was understandable.
An expert had emerged from the human race, who had used some unknown method to chase away Long Fengyun. However, in the end, he did not have the guts to become the sect master of the Black Heaven sect and handed it over to someone else.
The second matter was even simpler. Fan Yuhe did not expect humans to sell out their own kind. His thoughts were the same as Ershania’s in this sense. Still, he found these humans extremely laughable.

…
30 minutes later.
Fan Yuhe had already asked those few humans to bring him to the Vast Sea.
He might not have dared to deal with Long Fengyun due to the backing of the dragon race, but dealing with a puny human was far easier.
Was Yuchi’s existence some kind of freak accident?
It was unexpected, but not unbelievable.
The world was vast, and many unusual things could happen. This would just be another one of those things. In any case, there would always be one or two rare geniuses that would appear every 1,000 or 10,000 years. These geniuses had a terrifying level of strength.
They either possessed great power at a young age, or they were able to comprehend a portion of this world’s Heavenly Dao.
However, it was of no use. For these minor and weak races, even if an unparalleled expert appeared, what use would it be?
The race itself was weak, and they did not have the resources or foundation to nurture this expert.
As the saying went, ‘the right time, right place and right people.’ In this case, they had the right people, but the other two elements were unfulfilled. The weakness of the race would drag the expert down.
An example of this was the pufferfish race’s Prometheus.
Prometheus was only a few hundred years old, yet he was able to fight his way up to the position of the sect master of the Black Heaven sect despite his humble origins.
However, the entire pufferfish race was still weak. Would Prometheus be able to support the entire race by himself?
Impossible!
“This human must be in the same situation.”
“However, compared to Prometheus, this Yuchi is more cunning.”
“He knows that he doesn’t have the ability to retain the sect master position, and he also knows that he doesn’t have the ability to lead the human race forward. Therefore, he chose to give the position of the sect master away.”
Fan Yuhe’s line of thinking continued straying.
“This is an intelligent way of thinking. No matter how cunning and lowly it is, it is at least grounded in reality.”
“However, he still underestimated the unique traits of his own race.”
“He was still betrayed by his own race.”
“The more I think about it, the more ridiculous this matter is. I can already envision how things will develop next. After I kill Yuchi, these humans won’t resent me, but on the contrary thank me for removing a thorn in the side of the human race.”
“They’ll even ask for the angel race’s protection and request to serve the angel race as a vassal.”
“However, the current human race doesn’t even have the right to become a vassal of the angel race.”
“Hehe.”
“What a laughable situation.”
Fan Yuhe looked at the few humans who were bowing their heads in front of him. His mocking laughter reached the depths of hell.
“Yuchi, I’m not killing you because I have a grudge with you, but because your trashy race doesn’t deserve to rise up.”
“Even if you tried to hide, in the end, you couldn’t escape…”
“This is the way this world works. My angel race will sweep away all other races and rule the world!”

Take Two!
College student majoring in botany has a fateful encounter with truck-kun while trying to get back in shape after realizing that his freshman 15 turned into the sophomore 20, and then the junior 30. After going through a very amusing(to some) hell, he gets the chance to transmigrate into a body of his own design on a magical world. Playing to his strengths, he chose the Plantkin race, and the new name of Sorrel to match. This is a slow-paced, magical, slice-of-life story with a focus on relationships. There will be sex(I'll try to keep the explicit stuff to a minimum, but it will be there), swearing, really bad jokes, and enough food to spoil your diet. There will not be a lot of action, epic quests to save the world, or anything even remotely resembling a big-bad-evil-guy(a few smaller bad guys, sure. But, no BBEG). Note: This is a re-write of my first story "Congratulations, You're Dead!". And, is much more what I wish I had written in the first place. The characters and the world are very similar, with a few key differences. The story may borrow some elements from Congrats, but should be considered as its own work. Reading Congrats first is not needed, or even reccommended, not unless you want to see some really cringey romance in the early chapters.

Welcome to Devos
Welcome to a world where humor, drama, and action clash in epic tales spanning a vast continent....Welcome to Devos An anime styled medieval fantasy world featuring heroes, gods, and demons in a grounded and story/character focused series. A world where the gods of power bestow elemental abilities on those they find worthy. Welcome to Devos is broken up into parts, each part is more or less a complete story that expands the world, characters, and kingdoms of Devos. It plays out a lot like Game of Thrones where instead of a lead character you have an entire cast, each one getting plenty of time to develop over the course of the series. It is a relatively grounded, character and story-driven adventure that focuses on people of interest and their relationships with each other, their nations, and the eight gods of power. While the story features a good blend of light and dark themes it can get really grim at times. The continent of Devos is comprised of 5 territories, they include the three kingdoms of Verdun, Ashmir, and Vespa along with the territories of two demon lords to the north and south. The time period and setting are basically what you would find in a fantasy anime. There are eight gods of power which wield eight different elements and have the ability to "bless" individuals with certain abilities. Monsters roam the wilderness and the ruins/dungeons that are scattered throughout the landscape. Adventurers complete quests, hunt monsters, and explore the vast continent. We've got heroes, demon lords, gods, spys, special operations assault teams, phantom eagles, kings & queens, cursed chickens, talking goblins, and a whole shit ton more already in with plenty more coming soon.

The Novel's Extra's Extra
As a reader, Cristopher always looked for things that entertained him, didn't matter what the "critics" said, all that matters was his own opinion on the novel, so he started reading "The Novel's Extra", a webnovel that despicts an author who is transmigrated to his own novel. It was fun and all with its own good and bad points, really, one of his favorites novels at the end of the journey, and that's taking into account the little fact that he didn't have too many things he was able to enjoy, not in that empty shell that was called life for him... Why could someone be born like that? With a void inside, an endless void that slowly consumes oneself... But... for better or worse... everything changed one day, the same day he woke up to discover he had the same faith of the author whose novel he just finished reading, becoming an extra in a novel, becoming The novel's extra's extra... /Ok, now that's the description I thought of... first of all, for those of you who are reading this, if any, a few points I have to make clear: 1. I'm not an english native speaker, so if you find anything wrong in the text, please let me know, that would help me learn, and I would be thankful for that.2. I'm writting this out of pure "enjoyment", so while I'll try to be constant, I'll not make any promises.3. True reason why I'm writing this is because I'm going through a moderate to crippling depression right now (and no, is not because anything trully bad and horrendous happened to me, it seems to have something to do with my brain's malfuctioning, among other things), and doctors told me to try writing as I enjoy reading. So yeah, this is more like a self-help excercise, to keep myself distracted while trying to be safe from my self.4. I choose to make a fanfiction of "The Novel's Extra" as I don't trully know how to write, and because I really loved that webnovel, though there are some points I didn't particulary liked.5. If you see some (let's be clear, really much) self insertion on this series, well, that may be me trying to escape reality, to which I make an early warning and disclaimer, and also ask for forgiveness, as I said before, this is more of an excercise, so don't take it too serious.6. I'll be a slow writer, as I have to still check a few things from the novel, even when I've read it like 3 or 4 times already, and because I know shit about writing a novel or a series.7. If you get to enjoy this, then that's good, I would be glad about it, maybe even more motivated, but I don't really expect this to be any good. Thanks to you all who may, or may not, be reading this novel./
