《Suffocate My love》Chapter 88

" are you sure that you will be fine leaving?", The chief asked Kijad with utmost concern and respect.
Kijad didn't want to trouble the king so he said they will be okay . Despite his reassuring response, the situation is far from favorable and his confidence is close to nil.
The chief apologized for not make their stay much longer or their visit being that caused by chilled circumstances and showing him around the businesses. Kijad has no sound knowledge of merchanting or goods exchange but that won't make it completely boring for him to listen to the explanations from Deliw.
Despite Inor being a small village, their exports are very large and the business is very laboursome . Understanding a network that takes places would require a full two day workshop. Because Inor has few civilians, a lot of farmers favor those place and that is what makes Inor number six of thirty-nine villages in agriculture
Deliw looked at Jakhyer who was seeping the soup. He was eating a little bit too much today but that's fine because he doesn't consume any solid food and he hasn't taken anything over the past few days . He is too old to digest the food so like his flesh, he is no different from a toddler. Regardless of being unaware of this , Kijad announced to the sect busybodies that Jakhyer has belly problems and so can't tolerate anything hard . He would never guess that regardless of Jakhyer looking so young could be far older .
He smiled at him and he focused his attention back to Kijad.
Just then the chief's pregnant wife Ema, came into the room and greeted the two.
Every chief must have a wife before ascending the throne, whether or not they want to . The cabinet and royal council say it's so the chief has an heir but there is no guarantee that their child will get the throne. Some wolves say that a leader with a family tends to be more accommodating but that is just a conversation-stopper. . The democracy of any land where ministers are appointed and shifted through the cabinet, the same thing happens with chiefs. Every land changes their chief after every ten years. After through scrutiny, the chieftainship is passed to the appointed vice , a position that is also ten years in the making . Chief Deliw is still on his first term. He just succeeded his father who left through retirement. Deliw is actually lucky that the thronemanship stayed in the family.
There were only two chairs aside from the king's. since a pregnant lady can't sit on the royal chair , Deliw asked Jakhyer to sit next to him. Kijad smirked when Jakhyer stood up to sit next to him.
" What have you found since investigation?", The lady asked facing Jakhyer
" Last night , along with some village soldiers we tracked the scent but all faded after leaving the village perimeters. Almost like they melted into nothing.", Kijad called her focus.
" Is that possible?",
" We are yet to determine that but from sect knowledge, a wolf's scent doesn't just disappear.", Kijad answered trying to keep the attention of the nosey lady.

Jakhyer was froze like a statue facing forward and not wanting to look to the side .he was still hungry and couldn't master up the courage to eat when he was this close to Deliw
Deliw is really young , probably a few years older than Adrian. This much closeness makes it very akward especially because he likes the authoritative manner that Deliw is in.
During Adrian's first times at the sect , when Reed frequented visiting him , Jakhyer would be hiding in the neighboring forest and later to show up in Inor . He would see the crown prince of Inor and his father moving up and down. More often than not , Deliw would be stalking Jakhyer thinking he acts suspicious because a fine 'young' man doesn't come every three months and stare at the forest for fifteen years. Furthermore he would be wearing a dark cloak and very dirty clothes to conceal himself but his build, character and all round composure was too exposing that he was a bit more than that therefore Deliw wanted to see 'that.'
When he secretly interrogated Jakhyer , Jakhyer reported that he was here to see someone who he doesn't want them to know he is looking for them . Deliw assumed it was a female but Jakhyer would only stay in Inor so it didn't make sense .
Currently judging from much he is staring at Jakhyer right now, if he had seen Adrian before ,he would definitely have been able to link the dots. Basically as long as Deliw doesn't meet Adrian, Jakhyer can rest at ease
" Chief , let me excuse myself", Ema declared and Jakhyer offered to escort her out .
" Let me .. I need to speak to the disciples", Kijad unceremoniously volunteered and they both left .
After they disappeared , Deliw picked his tea then turned to face Jakhyer. Inside of drinking it he directed it to him. It was the same kind he drank a lot when in Inor. Jakhyer looked at the tea and silently yet rudely dismissed the offer. Deliw lowered it to his hands and he caught it while gluing eyes to Deliw
" I will not speak of what I don't know. So you can be assured ",
he wasn't sure what he was referring to . A lot had happened in both their lives and his remark is beyond ambiguous.
" Doesn't matter . I am not coming back here again ", Jakhyer looked away
" You visit Inor less .",
" Are you assuming?", Jakhyer's sarcasm
Deliw got up . with his back to Jakhyer and his head slightly tilted ,he arrested in front of the throne .
" I am complaining ", he smiled then turned to him.
The reason that he was probably able to get into the school is thanks to Deliw. He used some connections and bribery to buy him qualifications as a sect master . Later on ,the King had him admitted to the school.Another thing is that he could pick then , that the teenage Omega was always anticipating his return every three months . therefore seeing Adrian in Deliw , Jakhyer became more softer to him and taught him some things but their lessons were only at night and very far from Inor. For two years he visited three times . The first time Jakhyer did , he brought some books and stuff for Deliw but left them by the window of his bedroom. He was thankful that he managed to get close to Adrian but he didn't fully say it was because of Deliw even thought he already knew it was him.

He will never forget when Deliw asked him not go go away for so long . His request was really sad and somewhat reminded him of his son. Jakhyer promised him that he will visit but he only did the opposite. The first few months were sad with a cause of great loneliness for Deliw. Ten more months passed with complete dissapance. Just as Deliw was getting used to that , he received letters everytime Herim would collect delivies in Inor . The letters were atleast five pages long and were always stamped with a hand-made print .
Nothing resembled happiness as much as that because it was like reading a diary written only for him . In response to this , he would write the same length and the last page was the name of any plant that he saw , along with a painting. It was a habit that Jakhyer taught him and he hasn't abandoned till date . Even his private chambers are saturated with drawings of pictures. If at times he requested Jakhyer to draw one , he never framed it . Instead along with all the laters , he kept them in a treasure chest.
These look and behave like common penfriends but they update each other more than the wolves who live around them. On the last letter Jakhyer announced that Deliw should buy more tea leaves and without a clue why , he agreed. Little did he anticipate that Jakhyer would visit.
Despite his shock , he is happy to see him . And sort of glad that he seemed to have aged in reverse. If Jakhyer knew that Deliw wasn't able to sleep ever since he set foot in Inor, how many pages of mockery would he write him?
***
Kijad is going to go crazy when he finds out that Adrian went into the forest alone. Naturally Herim would have followed him like a few times he did at the school but today he is too infatuated with Berlieh . Surprisingly he didn't even spend the night with the members nor did he have breakfast with them.
This morning at breakfast, Ryle was feeding Syin , Joln was preaching to Valian and the other workers were gossiping about girls. His brother and Jakhyer were having breakfast with the chief. Basically everyone was just too busy for him and so he took the initiative to have a walk in the forest . They all assumed he was sleeping in his separate bedroom , compliments of Kijad.
He kicked the stones and tossed the leaves. He just wanted to be alone. If felt so free .Adrian wasn't in the mood to investigate but since he is already here he might as well.
He changed his eyes to red and made lighting through his hands . It will help him pick up any scents. He is too deep in the forest anyway, places that Kijad and the others didn't go.
He heard whoosh and promptly turned his face towards that direction. He made both his hands red to heighten his sensory but still didn't pick up anything.
Suddenly there were more motions generated, on both his sides and behind him..
His thunderbolts are too diabolical. Civilians and delinquent wolves would never survive any of his strikes so he must be extremely cautious.
Just then a wolf cry was produced behind him and he immediately zoomed there .
He found a humongous alpha fighting enormous shadows. its coat was bleached and red with blood signalling a struggle.
He cast one towards the shadows and they exploded only to take form again.
Two charged for the wolf that was trying its level best to chase them off by biting or scratching them but to no avail. The smokes lifted the wolf and slammed it from tree trunk to tree trunk eight times. At the same instance, Adrian was trying to shoot them but that just made them more agitated and multiplied rampantly. The more he strikes the more they reemerged
Adrian charged up his power and as he did so , his hair changed colour to dirty white and his whole arms went red . he started to rain bolt after bolt but the wolves kept dodging them . At the same instnce his body emitted those bullets, he created a dome around each of them and pressurized it so they won't run away.
The figures need qi and so him using his own pneuma lured them to remain inside the dome but soon later the wolves changed from black to bluish and the domes merged into one.
He reached the supreme and multiplied a hundredfold his strength to the dome . Fortunately they thawed and transformed into ash. The instant he opened the dome up, the ash melted away .
He used a glass dome to pickup the sample and as his eyes changed back to normal, he saw the wolf with some patches sleeping on the ground.
He moved to it , raised his hand to its snot for it to smell but it was barely awake so he called some leaves to help pickup the wolf from the ground.
He had never seen this coat before so it must be a villager . He knows that the others don't know that he has this ability yet , so they expect him to come carrying the wolf. He will have to give it a piggy back. But this wolves is humongous, he will crumble underneath it .
He tried to move his hand to its snout again but it didn't respond. He did this a lot with Syin and many others as they always reacted. Why it doesn't work right now is beyond him.The best thing currently is to treat the wolf and make him turn back to a 'human' figure.
He made a leaf and placed it on its forehead and the next thing that he did was to slowly diffuse through his body.

Dream of the Abyss
Elisa Mary Grant died in a hospital bed after being stuck in it for six months, and like any other, her soul drifted away from her husk when she passed. For her, death was a release. It merely meant that she no longer have to wake up in pain, breathing through tubes and have doctors flood her veins with dubious chemicals for “experimental treatment”. Free from her mortal constraints and useless body, she felt… at peace, serene, even. Death is bliss, after all, when objectively living sucked to the point of extreme. Therefore, there was no reason to mourn at all and she knew she definitely didn't. ... That was until, on her way for a proper reincarnation, she found herself rudely interrupted and left stranded in the great NoWhere. “Wonderful,” she remarked as she floated in the [Beyond], “Just when I thought that suicide is the answer.” Author's note: Updates every Tuesday-Wednesday, probably some time in between. ... P.S Notes: Contains existential questions and nihilistic themes, rather philosophical. Will be rather sluggish until the MC gets her shit together. P.SS Notes: Story takes time to develop. And maybe uncomfortable. It's not gonna be action-packed or filled with battles, I think. Anyway, it is kinda unusual. P. SSS Notes: It is not LitRpg. Don't be fooled.
