《Infected [killugon/killuaxgon]》Our opinion

I still haven't quite registered what Ging had just told me. Not when Leorio was introduced to him, after I gave him the medicine, or while packing up my things and leaving with the others towards Gings lab.

I wasn't surprised, maybe the best word to describe it was confused. So many questions were left unanswered and the things he had said caused so much confusion in my head. I barely understood why he was so fixated on creating a drug that he forgot to support his family, which was the main reason he continued to work in the lab.

What kind of drug were they attempting to make, anyway?

"So, they all left, just like that?" Killua questioned, anger evident in his voice.

"Only because they thought you were a selfish traitor. I'm not sure why those three believed it so easily." Leorio replied. He had been telling killua about Bisky, Ikalgo and Zushi's whereabouts, and how they had up and left due to his elder brothers doing. Ging listened, joining the conversation every once in a while to make comments.

I was spaced out, watching my feet pull me along.

I wonder if those three are still hanging on.

"We are running out of gas again, Bisky." Ikalgo commented from the driver's seat. Both he and Zushi were given driving lessons from Bisky so she could rest in the backseat when she was tired, not having to worry about stopping on the side of the road to take a break.

"Okay fine, stop at the next gas station and I'll go take a look inside." She yawned, stretching her arms and sitting up after her brief nap. It didn't take too long before they pulled up to a rusty overgrown looking gas station, the colors red and blue mellowed down into pastels. Bisky gripped her knife, stepping out of the vehicle after it was parked, and shutting the door gently behind her. As she progressed towards the building, Ikalgo turned towards Zushi.

"Do you think they're still alive?" He asked the other, who was half asleep himself. "Huh? Who's alive?" Zushi looked towards Ikalgo who had a concerned look on his face. "Gon, Leorio, and maybe Killua?"

Zushi sighed and faced him completely, checking to see if Bisky was near before replying, "I don't know dude, maybe? Why do you still care about them even after they practically called us useless?"

Ikalgo groaned and ran his fingers through his reddish-orange hair. "Throughout the whole time we have known, hung out with, and spoken to killua and the others, do you really think they would say anything like that? Or even think it? Why did we decide to trust a few strangers so quickly over a trusted friend? Now look at us. Because we decided to believe what those sketchy guys said, we have been on the road for days just going in circles, trying to decide what to do next. All the time I think, 'What would they do in this situation?' Only to realize I could've figured it out already if I had just come out with my opinions." He rambled, surprising Zushi who hadn't really had time to process.

He staired at the steering wheel beside Ikalgo, gently biting the inside of his lip. "You're right. I wasn't thinking straight. Should we talk to Bisky about it? Do you think she regrets her decision too?" Zushi questioned, shifting into a more comfortable position in the small car.

Ikalgo shook his head, "If it took you this long to even think about it, I'd be surprised if she did. Maybe we should talk to her about it, but she has to be in a very good mood to even get a real answer out of her." He smiled slightly.

Zushi nodded, then pinched his chin in thought. "She didn't always have trust issues though, remember when we first met her? Back then, If it weren't for what happened, she never would have left."

"Why don't you trust me, wing? Why won't you let me go outside on my own after all our training so far?" Zushi argued, but backed down as soon as he saw Wing's angry stare. "We went over this. You aren't ready, even if you really think you are, you're not. Because nothing can prepare you for what's out there."

Zushi hadn't spoken any farther. Why was it okay for Wing and Bisky to leave, but him and Ikalgo had to stay inside at all costs? It had always been that way, and no matter the amount of training the adults put them through, they were never ready. If not now, when? After the entirety of the earths populations are walkers and there are some around every corner, is wing going to finally say they were 'ready,' and set them off into a world where they have no experience with the actual thing?

When will they finally reach the point of being ready? Not knowing what to expect in the real world is a huge disadvantage, hadn't wing understood that? While keeping the boys away from any other life, how did he expect them to grow accustomed to the real thing when the time comes?

Zushi laid in his bed, rewinding the scene in his head. Maybe real experience will prepare him for it. Maybe it would, and maybe wing was just paranoid. If Bisky has never come home traumatized, and always comes back with what she left for in the first place, then how could it be so bad?

Because they were currently staying in a basement underneath a house in the middle of a subdivision, he has barely ever seen any walkers himself. Only when they were moving places had he been outside in the past couple months.

Zushi was certain Ikalgo felt the same way he did about all of this, he just didn't really talk about it. Zushi couldn't keep his mouth shut, and wing wasn't having it. Both Ikalgo and Bisky were always there to listen to him, though. Bisky was a whole lot more enthusiastic back then, and somehow a bit more childish.

However, after both Wing and Bisky got back home from a grocery trip one day, it wasn't the same. They came back angrily, each going to their separate areas and away from each other. Neither Zushi or Ikalgo knew exactly what happened, but gathered enough information from their angry muttering to tell they had gotten into an argument about,

A) The strength of the other person.

B) How they could have done better for the boys living situations.

C) Letting the boys out into the world to actually gain experience.

The more Zushi thought about it, the latter seemed like the most obvious answer. Bisky had always agreed with his argument, maybe she had brought it up to wing and they fought? But why were they so angry with each other?

This went on for weeks after, and they were still fighting just before the death of Wing, who was bitten and brought back home by Bisky who had to end his life once he had turned. That way, we could all say goodbye. All these things Bisky stores in her head that no one would understand as well as she does herself.

Maybe they would know more if Bisky had talked about her own feelings every once in a while.

I sucked in a tight breath from behind a thick tree as the girl beside me held my arm tightly. "I do not fear death..."

It might be getting a bit more interesting from here.

Haven't posted in a bit, but I've been thinking of a few ideas and stuff. Also my computer broke so that's another reason I guess :]
