Fenrir
“Remember to watch out for any weak points!” the party leader shouts as soon as a flash of black light shines through the room and they find themselves back in the tunnel. They all then spread out to make themselves harder targets while also giving them the best possibility of finding the mini boss’s weakness.
I watch the worm as it travels in circles in the ground around the tunnel before eventually arcing outward slightly and then turning straight into the tunnel again, making the intruders all turn towards it. Meanwhile the one it had targeted – their Dark Elf scout this time – immediately jumps out of its way, getting clear of the monster with little difficulty unlike their Orc tank.
Makes sense that the scout wouldn’t be caught by surprise.
The other intruders quickly swarm towards it, watching the creature as it passes through the tunnel. But none of them see anything and begin to show doubt about the battle.
That doubt doesn’t last too long though as after the tip of its tail leaves the wall, the scout seems to notice the unprotected part of it and shouts, “There! At the end of its tail!”
I hear Dawn giggle at the dark faces each of the intruders makes at seeing the rather annoying spot it’s placed.
Which makes sense. They don’t know the worm can travel through the tunnel yet, instead of just cutting across it. So of course they’d find it an almost impossible task to break through that in the mere seconds that it shows up.
Before any of the intruders can comment on that, the worm suddenly arcs around and goes directly back towards the tunnel again, letting it dig straight back into it after just a few seconds. And this time it begins going through the tunnel towards them instead of directly across from them, starting several meters away.

“Shit, run!” the Dark Elf shouts while hurriedly turning around and running in the opposite direction, to which the others all immediately follow.
“Uh, Fenrir?” Dawn asks trepidatiously.
“Don’t worry,” I tell her without even letting her finish.
The worm continues chasing them through the long tunnel for a bit until they reach one of the portal room doors and the small outlet it’s in. And at the sight of it, the Dark Elf’s eyes widen, and he points at it while shouting, “Get to the portal outlet!”
I watch as the party all rush over to the small – and now cramped – outlet, letting the worm just barely pass by them all without harming them, only missing the two Orcs by a hair. The worm then goes back up and out of the tunnel.
“I didn’t want to make it too difficult for them, so those portal doors are in a small outlet for that very reason.” I explain to Dawn as she somehow sends me a questioning stare without having a face to look at me with. “It makes it so that they don’t all just end up as worm food and are able to make it to safety without having to leave the tunnel every time Wormy enters it. Since that would go nowhere.”
Dawn continues staring at me for several seconds as the intruders catch their breaths before eventually muttering, “I still can’t believe you named it Wormy…” and turning back to the intruders again.
I flash light from my core twice from two different sides in my version of an intruders’ shrug.
The name may not be inspired, or unique like the others. But I still think Wormy is a great name.
Anyways, Wormy quickly ends up going back around and entering the tunnel again soon after the intruders leave the safety of the outlet and spread out into the tunnel again.

I watch along with Dawn as Wormy chases them through once again, but unlike last time, one of the Orcs is too slow to reach the outlet.
Probably not the best place to bring a great shield to. Not with how heavy it is to lug around.
“Gorek!!! Noooo!!!!” the other Orc shouts with a lot more despair than I’ve ever seen an Orc show after he turns around to see his twin getting gobbled up by Wormy’s open mouth.
“Damnit!” the party leader grunts while clenching his fist on his sword’s handle. He then raises his hand and shouts with no small amount of anger in his voice, “Get ready to attack its weak point when it finishes passing!”
I watch with interest as the party pushes aside their grief and readies themselves in the cramped space they have available. Then, the instant Wormy finishes passing by them, the mage sends a bolt of magma to hit the exposed weak point at the end of Wormy’s long body.
A loud screech echoes through the tunnel as the walls themselves shake and the magma bolt digs deep into his body. But Wormy doesn’t stop moving and manages to flee without any other intruder getting an attack in.
The blade users amongst the group all missed rather miserably, partially due to Wormy’s speed, and partially due to not wanting to get burned by the magma. Meanwhile the healer didn’t even bother attacking, and the other Orc… well, he’s still in the outlet staring at the ground.
Which I guess means not all of them pushed their grief aside after all.
I can kind of understand how he feels though. After all, if Dawn were hurt… I don’t think I would be able to control my anger.
Safe to say that I’d pity any intruder currently in my dungeon at the time.
Or rather I pity any now, since I doubt I’ll be pitying them then.
Anyways, the – clearly pissed off now – regroup with the party leader physically dragging the other Orc along with him before literally slapping him in the face to snap him out of it.
“Huh.” Dawn mutters, having turned a light yellow hue out of curiosity. “I’ve never seen an Orc so… depressed before. Didn’t think it was possible with them.”
I glance at her for a moment before silently agreeing and refocusing on the intruders again as they head back through the portal again.
Looks like they’re regrouping again for another meeting.

The Salamanders
Hadica was built around one of five Towers, an infinite structure filled with floors of monsters, magic, and treasures that the city plunders like clockwork. Most of the city, at least. 8 116The Chronicle of a Witch
It is a story about a young girl that abruptly transmigrated into the body of another young girl (at least in appearance) in another world filled with Magic. She notices that she becomes a Dungeon Master and for a thousand years... she lives a lazy life. However, one day, she lost all of her power and she is kicked out of her Dungeon! And the world's changed that video games level and classes governed the power system of the new world! What will she do as a weak and fragile girl? Will she get her power back? How will she survive in the harsh world? Author's note: I will update daily if possible and each chapter is around 2,000 words. Gores, Sexual Contents, and Traumatising Contents are limited and I try my best not to write them. However, for the progress of the story, I can't help but write some of them in the latter part of the story. However, don't expect them too much ^_^ English is not my native language, so there might be grammatical errors (maybe a lot), but I'll try to fix them, so constructive critiques will be appreciated (^_^)
8 115Dauntless: Origins
Snow white hair, blue eyes, pale. Devil, monster, mutt, failure. This story follows one Tyr Faeron, crown prince, heir primus and mass murderer. A wrathful, angry, and lost young man that has made it his goal to hunt down the men that killed his mother - and he is on the cusp of finishing the promise he'd made before her cairn stones so many years ago. On the surface he is duplicitous, whimsical, and base of cunning - but within the depths beyond the many masks he wears, something is waiting. Waiting for an end, the end he'd come to long for, whether it be to himself or any possible threats in his vicinity. After that long labor of vengeance is completed... Nobody knows, not even him - an arrogant and otherwise solitary individual with nothing in the way of friends - only the brothers of the blackguard who follow him through life as he pursues this mission. He was born a prince, but he'd be called a disappointment - failing to manifest the great power that he was born to before being summarily discarded by his father, a 250 year old 'primus'. That word again... Men who can shatter mountains and level cities, that's what he was supposed to be. Some call them demi-gods, all Tyr sees is a poor excuse for a parent. Time had made him bitter, cruel, and arguably psychotic - seeing only enemies wherever he looks. They'd come for him, too, one day - to wipe the slate clean and make room for another - and it's his conviction to ensure that he dies while taking as many of those rats with him. This is a story about finding acceptance, growth, and understanding - from the point of view of a cold and brutal individual who wears many masks. Of someone who was born to be the greatest emperor the eastern continent has ever seen - but he failed in that. Strong, yes, but only in the context of a man - Tyr's magic is weak. His convictions are weak. He has been made a beast of instinct by loss and a constant confronting of his own impotency in the face of his father. A mythos that stretches across planes, of magic, a pantheon of cruel gods. Of someone who's dedicated his entire mind to the art of killing a man, and none to living a normal childhood or coming to understand friendship, empathy, or compassion. The first five years of his life a mystery, a hole none have ever been willing to fill, leaving him warped and twisted. His formative years gone and what must've been most of his humanity along with it. Now 17, he is on the cusp of leaving the city he'd never been permitted to leave for what might be the first time in his life. Always searching, though he won't know what for, for some time. An episodic that follows experience and symbolism rather than a never ending series of battles - where the conflict lay in constantly searching for wholeness in lieu of great villains or heroes. This is where it all started, the origin, the tale told a million times - and yet it hadn't been, 'reality' is tricky like that. The greatest lie ever told by the tongue that speaks is that any of this was real at all.
8 248A Wheel Inside a Wheel
Two brilliant young me, Reinhard von Musel and Yang Wen-li, are forced to flee the countries of their birth and become refugees on opposite sides of a century long galactic war. While they both struggle to adapt to their new lives, their obvious talent propels them to the forefront of the war. Their choices will shape their adoptive homelands forever, and their clash will decide the future of the galaxy. This story is broken up into volumes, each following one half of the conflict. You can read them in chronological order, or you can follow just Yang or Reinhard. See individual descriptions below. Part One - Speaking in Tongues When Yang Wen-li’s father dies, the only thing that he inherits is a mountain of debt, which can only be paid off with fifteen years of his life. Wanting to escape that indentured servitude, Yang flees his homeland and takes up a false identity in the Galactic Empire, a hyper-stratified society where stepping out of line is punishable with imprisonment or death. Yang enrolls in the Imperial Officers’ Academy to study history, but despite his unusual and unmistakeable talent as both a tactician and a scholar, his classmates resent him for being a visible outsider. When tensions at the school boil over and several of Yang’s classmates attempt to murder him, Yang finds an unlikely ally in the top student in the class: the aloof Oskar von Reuenthal. But Reuenthal and Yang both have secrets, secrets which could destroy both their lives and their newfound friendship.
