《Lost In the Void. (Monster Evolution LitRpg)》Chapter 28. Talking Spider

Quest Don't Kill The Priestess.
My son, not long after you killed the hive mind, I decided to get more involved with all of my children again. Even though I should have been more active in helping my children, I saw how my new priestess acts towards other monsters after you positively influenced her during your first encounter. She became just like how my daughter was before she was killed. However, this one helps more by leading than just healing. She isn't a fighter but a healer and leader, so please help her out if you can since I want her and those who believe in me and you to have a chance at life. I love you, my son; you give me little bits of myself back after losing her. I will speak to you soon, be strong, my son.
Reward A monster you can trust that will help you without betraying you. ???

Talking through a quest to protect a priestess of hers. Well, that's one way to get a message through. "Come out, spider. I won't kill you. Thought something else was coming here in a hunting group like yours." I said. I knew it was the spider since it was the only one I influenced by giving food to it while it was almost dead from starvation. I didn't know that it would have reached tier 2 so soon. But since the message from Mother said she basically couldn't fight, there had to be at least five or six monsters protecting her. They must be at a decent level to get this deep without them all being killed.
Two came out of the thicket and approached me. One was Void Fist Lv7/15 Tier 2. It was a monkey-like monster with grey fur and sliver skin, standing at 5ft 9in. A baby horn is sticking center of its skull, little spikes cover its knuckles, and some bone plating protects the hands like gauntlets. Fist, as part of its race, it seems to fit it. A close-up warrior-type monster. Str is probably its primary dump stat, followed by Vit, then Agi.
While studying the new monster, a box appeared before me.
style="border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%" border="1"> Void Fist evolved from a Darkling saved by the new Priestess of the Void. Since then, he has sworn to the Mother to defend and kill any who harm his savior. And since being saved, he has pushed himself passed many limits he once had. Has no name yet. Unfortunately, information passed this is blocked due to the skill's low level and tier.
The Void Weaver Lv6/15 Tier 2 She was almost the same as before, only bigger and slightly darker. The most significant change was the mist. It was like Colt's but felt completely different for some reason. The mist surrounding Colt gave off the feeling of hunger and death, while this one felt warm and inviting.
Another box from the system popped up again in front of my eyes.
style="border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%" border="1"> Void Weaver believes you are the chosen one for some reason, like an apostle or something close. It could be when you showed her kindness by sharing food and not killing her Void Mother's blood shone through you. Not that I care for that. Trusts you too much for only a few interactions you've had together. Will follow you into the realm of wrath or any other fucked up place. Has gained the position of the head of the Void Mother's church or cult. The name is still being worked on. She is only four months old, so not bad for someone so young. Too bad this one isn't able to become mine. No more information here since there is no more.

"Why have you come here? Do you realize that almost every monster near this place is at the peak of tier 2 and only a few levels from evolving to tier 3?" I asked. Fist, he looked annoyed that I was even talking to them, and Weaver looked happy. Kind of hard to understand her because she is a spider, and they don't have any facial features or signs of emotions, just body language, and I don't know how to decipher it.
"H-hi, nice to finally t-talk to you." She said it while shuffling side to side. "I was g-giving a class f-from MOther and told to help you out."
Dear Mother, she is too shy to be a priestess, let alone being a leader. But, of course, she might change since she is still so young. But damn, was she going to have a hard time. She is a Chs and Int based. "Please try to keep it down. If that fucking bird hears you, it will come back again. And please tell the rest of your group to come over here since they might die if one monsters see them. The Dark type tier 2 monsters here are more dangerous than others most of the time since they can be poisonous or have rot abilities." I told them and walked back while motioning them to follow me.
As they bought the others from their group, I pulled twenty tier 1 monster corpses while getting a giant rock I carved out like a big bowl to put the pond water, so it was easier to drink than trying to dump it on myself like an animal. Most of the corpses were snakes since I still had a few of those left, with the rest being the goat monsters.
They weren't surprised I was pulling things out of the dragon head tattoo, so they must have watched me for a while. She has seen me use it before, but the others showed no shock or anything like that. Most who see this get scared and run away.
The other monsters who came from the thicket were seven in total. Four stealth types and two more warriors, with the last one, most likely a magic type. It was a Sliver Void Goblin Lv2/15 Tier 2. But what its name says, unlike, instead of being sliver, it was a bright red color. And it looked so weak that one of the others was carrying it on its back while being careful not to hurt it. I focused on it and watched another box open.
style="border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%" border="1"> An outcast from the void goblin tribe. For some reason, it was abandoned due to a mutation and a blessing it was born with. It has had red skin since birth, and even with evolving, it stayed red. But the reason it was thrown out was its magic was different than the one its tribe was able to use. No more can be learned through the skill; if you wish to know more, level it or ask it yourself.
The messages were cocky and rude; sometimes, for some reason, I will have to find out later on about it when I have the time too. But I have to focus on the present for now.
I can only trust the void weaver, but even that feels hard to let myself do. Deep inside, a cold and dead feeling is telling me to kill them. Yet, simultaneously, I feel another strong and warm one battling against that one. Each warring inside made me feel agitated and torn up. My old broken self is fighting itself inside me even though that isn't me anymore. Finally, I felt my skill Iron Mask turn on just a bit, easing my feelings and calming me. I was still slightly messed up inside, but not enough to control my actions.

Somehow she noticed how I felt and came closer to me while leaving enough space for her and me not to be touching. "Are y-you okay?" She asked me, sounding concerned for my well-being.
"Yeah, just some soul stuff I'm trying to deal with from my past life. Enough about that how are you and they doing?" I said while pointing at the group following and watching me from afar.
Her followers were eating except for Fist, who stood guard next to her, watching me and the surroundings. He kept glaring at me and probably didn't trust me. That is fine since I don't trust them either.
"Okay, I wanted to talk to you about joining us, and if you don't want to, can you, at the very least, teach us some more? About how to become stronger like you." She said while talking as fast and quietly as she could.
It made it a little hard to understand her, but with my impressive stats, I could still pick up what she said. I thought about what I should say. Do I help them or ignore them altogether? I am stronger than the tier 2 monsters here. And since they might only have a few tier 1 monsters, I would be fine dealing with them all if they try anything.
I sighed and decided to respond to her. "I am only almost a tier 3 and need to get as strong as I can before the fuckers from the realm of light get here to attack the void realm with us inside. So I'll teach you all how to become stronger, finish leveling, and leave for the second layer. I will warn you now that when they come, it won't be a few of them; it will be an army of them, I guess, from the limited knowledge I have gotten from Mother, and there will most likely be around 100000 or more coming."
"What the fuck. Why would they attack us? I may be stupid, but that is much fucking more than we have. Savior, we need to hide or get stronger and more monsters to follow us. If not, I won't be able to protect you." Fist blurted out while trying to think of ways to save the weaver.
"That's why I will make most of them chase me to the deeper layers of the void. Still, they will have quite a few trying to kill off everything in the void since they will see this as an opportunity to grow in power and tiers. Since I don't know how long they will take to invade, I still believe we have some time left for now." I said, replying to fist and the rest of the group, who stared at me in horror.
"Wow, that fuck up that is." the voice I had been dreading appeared and listened to me talking.
The fucking bird monster." Barry fuck off, you dickhead before I blow out your head off." I yelled at the fucking bastard flying incredibly fast.
"Ha, you slow fuck can't catch me. I am THE MOTHER FUCKING WIND BITCH BOY." Barry chirped and mocked while flying circles above us." Barry will skull fuck you losers. Barry is a god."
"What the fuck do you want fuck face?" I said to the annoying shit stain in the sky.
"I dreamt about you." Barry said, which confused me greatly. "You died. Ha, got you bitch. My hate for you is like diarrhea. I can’t hold it in." He began to shit towards us.
I summoned over 500 bolts this time in just half a second and released them at Barry, trying to kill him once and for all. The shit was burned away, and Barry dodged every single bolt. His Agi stat score was way above 200 for him to do things like this. Sure, he was fast, but that was all he had.
I was tired of dealing with Barry, so I made my decision. "I will join you, but we leave before he comes back to harass me again. Stupid fucking bird, he is fast but weak as a stick, and the magic he uses is trash. He hit me with it, and it didn't even leave a cut." So I told the spider and the monkey monster.
I put everything back into the tattoo and threw all the old tier 1 monster corpses to the middle of the clearing. I had to keep him off my back for now until I was ready to kill him, be it trapping or overpowering even his speed with my magic.
I began to lead the group towards the pond to collect more water and then head to their so-called base, where I could finally get away from Barry.
I knew had I met Barry outside the pond on my first day being born, I would have died. But since he didn't seem interested in me yet, I survived only to gain a massive annoyance.
But since I am heading to this so-called cult or church place, I will need to teach them at least to get stronger since they nearly passed out seeing what I did and how Barry dodged it all. Even now, they were still all silent, not talking and following along with their heads down well, except for the spider. It was entirely quiet but seemed to be happy for some weird reason; it danced while following from within the middle of the group. I will never be able to understand this tiny creature, will I?
I'm already feeling even more drained. I sighed and continued to walk.

Dip$h!+s in Space
An eccentric comedy novel (that thinks it's a TV show) about space, and the Dipsh!+s that end up stranded in it. This hyper-self-aware comedy of stupid proportions, centers around Captain William T Lawg (no relation) and his adventures as a guy who managed to afford a refitted soft-top ice-cream truck, in space. Explore the universe with his trusty crew of valiant randos. Marley, the tech-bro, stoner spacebunny, who just wants to get away from his home world and the bullies it harbors. Duffy, the plump and sassy female mechanic, who has had every job in existence totaling far more years than possible. Roy, the frigging fabulous, flamboyant android, and former spy…or possibly current spy. (dun dun, daaaa!) And lastly, but certainly leastly, that other chick the captain keeps trying to bang. Ride with the crew of the notorious Tast-E-Chill, to a world of wonder that a lot of other space travelers have already been before, but probably not Lawg, so it's still exciting. This satirical joke on itself and every sci-fi trope ever to exist, will be sure to either thrill you or disappoint you, because COMEDY…IS…SUBJECTIVE! With a crew of 3-10 and an IQ of also probably 3-10, The captain putters along to uncharted lands, where history, loot, drama, innuendos of the sexual verity, and various Technicolor hoes shall surely be waiting, usually with some form of trap. Each season brings new and interesting crewmen, like: Menace: the adorable genderless frog-child-thing with the heart of gold and the dialogue vocabulary of a slightly trained parrot. Greg: the 8 foot tall, ancient, thermonuclear, semi-retired alien overlord who just wants to prove he still has a purpose…and also to rule the galaxy. Izzy: a 3rd generation, age-reversed reboot, accidental clone of her own mother/sister/older self, who happens to be Greg's daughter-in-law…and much, much more. Prepare yourself for shallow adventure, moderately-to high offensive dialogue, and overwhelmingly childish scenarios. Tag along as the crew battles, fierce enemies, lack of food and survival tape, and occasionally their own incompetence. Teen Romance, current politics, subtlety, dignity, this sucker has none of those, and it darn well knows it. Raise the sails and grab the rails as a bunch of dipsh!+s find themselves...IN SPACE. (Roll dramatic tapering credits, to royalty free trumpet music)
