Chapter 1319 Counterattack Begins!
Fang Qiu had just finished speaking.
Everyone instantly thought of the few pharmaceutical companies destroyed by Fang Qiu!
Yang Ningyuan and Li Qihua were super impressed with that. They entered the pharmaceutical industry by taking advantage of Fang Qiu’s power. Last time, they successfully took over the few pharmaceutical companies crushed by Fang Qiu. On this basis, they gradually achieved success.
It had only been a little more than a year.
“Did Fang Qiu just declare his intention to fight on?”
The others were thinking hard about a way out. All at once, their gloomy faces brightened when they heard Fang Qiu’s words.
At present, in Huaxia and even the whole world…
Fang Qiu was the most elite and attention-grabbing leader in the Chinese Medicine industry. His decision carried enormous weight.
If Fang Qiu had made up his mind to deal with these pharmaceutical companies, he could destroy them one by one without much effort.
After all, few pharmaceutical companies could guarantee the quality of all their medicinal products.
The most important thing was…
Since the current Chinese Medicine market was in such a mess, how could their drugs be good?
It was easy to find fault with them.
“We know who our enemies are. As long as they dare to make a move, I’ll instantly let them live in continual fear of being ruined in the next second. I’d like to see who can win in the end!”
Fang Qiu snorted coldly.
Zhu Benzheng and the other two people listened attentively to him.
Their eyes kindled with excitement. They looked at Fang Qiu, full of confidence and expectation.
At that moment, they suddenly felt that Fang Qiu…
The Revenge King, who had once stunned them totally, had been revived.
Heavy blows would soon bombard those who had a hand in going against Fang Qiu!
At this time…
“Beep, beep, beep…”
All of a sudden, Li Qihua’s mobile phone rang.
It was a text message.
Li Qihua picked up his phone and took a look. Then his eyebrows instantly shot up and he said, “It seems we don’t have to keep an eye on them. They have already started playing their rotten tricks.”
“Hm?”
Everyone was stupefied at the news and turned to look at Li Qihua in unison.
“Let me read it for you.”
Li Qihua turned on his phone and said, “This is the headline news of Apple Daily, the biggest newspaper in Honggang: A world-shaking scam? The Earthly Immortal Pills from the Renyi Group may contain carcinogens!”
When all the people in the conference room heard the news…
Their faces changed drastically.
“They directly targeted our group’s medicinal herbs! How could they be so wicked?”
He Xue abruptly rose to her feet and rebuked in anger, “Aren’t these people afraid that we’ll fall out with them?”
“Take it easy.”
Yang Ningyuan shook his head, motioning for He Xue to sit down, and said, “Even if we look for them in the name of Renyi Group, they will shift the blame onto the Desert Cistanche planted by Fang Qiu. They will keep themselves out of the mess.”

“There’s no need to fear rumors.”
Zhao Shanlin shook his head scornfully and said, “A straight foot is not afraid of a crooked shoe. No matter how many rumors they spread, it can’t change the quality of our medicine.”
“But these guys have gone too far this time!”
He Xue was displeased.
“Yes, they’re way out of line.”
The anger in Zhu Benzheng’s heart flared up.
“The youngest, there is no need to talk nonsense with these guys. Just do what you have to do. Finish them off!”
Zhou Xiaotian also exploded with rage.
“I agree. Being merciful to the enemy is being cruel to ourselves. They’ve been raining heavy blows on us, but we could only passively respond to their attacks. It’s time for them to see what we can do!”
Sun Hao said.
With this…
Everyone, including Zhao Shanlin, Yang Ningyuan, and Li Qihua, looked at Fang Qiu, their eyes filled with anger.
“Okay.”
Fang Qiu met everyone’s blazing gazes. A cold light flashed across his eyes and he said, “In that case, let’s get started!”
Once he announced it…
Everyone burned with righteous indignation.
It was going to be a large-scale clash.
It would be a thrilling business war that would make one’s blood boil in excitement.!
“Everyone, listen to me.”
Fang Qiu’s eyes narrowed and he began to assign tasks.
Initially…
They had faith in Fang Qiu’s abilities. But when they faced such an unexpected situation, they were still a little worried and thought it would be difficult to find a solution quickly.
However, when Fang Qiu made the arrangements, everyone’s eyes brightened visibly.
They did not expect this at all.
It was extraordinary that Fang Qiu had actual solutions to these tricky problems.
Especially when they heard the last part of Fang Qiu’s plan, everyone in the conference room couldn’t help gasping in wonder. Even Yang Ningyuan and Li Qihua, who were used to the big picture, were astonished!
Fang Qiu, who could come up with effective measures, was a wise man with a broad outlook!
“What do you guys think?”
Fang Qiu asked after he revealed to them the whole plan.
“We will fully support you.”
Zhu Benzheng and the other two people stood up together and expressed their determination.
After they discovered the truth…
The three hot-blooded young men had been holding back their anger for a long time. Finally, they got an opportunity to wipe out their opponents. How could they not do their best?
“I support your decision.”
Even Zhao Shanlin, who always had a mild disposition nodded in agreement without hesitation.
“I’m in.”
He Xue also nodded in support.
Well…
In her mind, Fang Qiu had always been a mighty leader. But because she had been managing the group’s affairs, there were hardly any chances for Fang Qiu to show his strength. As a result, He Xue didn’t know how capable Fang Qiu was. But when she heard Fang Qiu’s whole plan, she was even more confused about his mysterious capabilities.
Anyway, she couldn’t come up with such a plan.

Notably…
It was a perfect plan, way better than any other solution!
“Brilliant young fellow!”
Yang Ningyuan laughed heartily and said, “In the beginning, Brother Li and I were perfectly happy to merge our companies into your group because you were in charge. Now we’re even more certain that we made the right decision. Stick to your plan. We’ll spare no pains to support you.”
“We should avoid trouble when necessary. But when it’s time to launch an all-out offensive, we must crack down relentlessly on our enemies with deadly accuracy and speed!”
Li Qihua chimed in with the others.
Apparently…
All the shareholders were unanimous in supporting him.
On the other side…
In the WeChat group of pharmaceutical companies…
“Haha, the news has appeared in the newspapers in Honggang. In a few hours, the news will spread all over Honggang, to the other cities, and even foreign countries.”
One of them reposted a piece of news from Honggang and attached a message with a triumphant smile.
“This time, let’s see if he will be ruined.”
“What if the Renyi Group blames us for the incident?”
“It’s none of our business. Our target is the miraculous Desert Cistanche grown by Fang Qiu, not the Renyi Group.”
“That’s right. We have freedom of speech in this era. How could we even not be allowed to question a product?”
“Haha, isn’t he a tough guy? I’d like to see him become anxious and unsettled when the number of critical remarks from the public against him rises!”
“Humph, he is merely an insignificant Chinese Medicine doctor. How dare he go against us? How reckless of him!!”
“He will have to pay the price of going against our whole industry!”
“Wait and see. He’ll weep bitter tears of remorse.”
“Ha-ha!”
In the WeChat group, leaders of major Chinese Medicine companies were feverishly swapping their imagined scenes with glee as they visualized how miserable Fang Qiu would be. Whenever Fang Qiu’s troubled look came across their minds, they would feel a quiver of excitement.
They chatted with each other.
Suddenly…
Someone released a screenshot in the group.
They clicked on it — it was the latest post on the Three Billion Foundation’s official Weibo account.
They took a closer look.
“The latest progress of the case: according to the results of the police’s investigation and sufficient evidence, Qiming Pharmaceutical Company was found to be one of the parties involved in the case of shoddy traditional Chinese medicine. Therefore, our Foundation has decided to stop all business dealings with Qiming Pharmaceutical Company. Meanwhile, we have officially filed a criminal charge against it to the Capital Intermediate People’s Court!”
There was also a photo in this post.
It was about…
It turned out to be an indictment. The prosecutor was Three Billion Foundation, and the defendant was Qiming Pharmaceutical Company!
At the sight of the screenshot…
Everyone in the WeChat group of pharmaceutical companies was startled!
“@Mr. Luo, what’s going on? Have you received a summons from the court?”
“Is this guy crazy? How dare he pick on Mr. Luo?”
“Is Fang Qiu going to declare war on all of us regardless of the dire consequences?”
“What does this announcement mean? Why did it only mention Mr. Luo’s company?”
In no time…
The atmosphere in the group changed.
In Qiming Pharmaceutical Company’s office building…
Mr. Luo was skimming through some documents in the chairman’s office. From time to time, he would scan the messages in the WeChat group, laughing out loud in smug satisfaction. Abruptly, he panicked because he also saw the screenshot.
“Damn it!”
Without sending a reply to the WeChat group, Mr. Luo hurriedly picked up the phone on his desk and summoned his assistant from outside.
“What’s going on? Why would Three Billion Foundation sue us? Why didn’t anyone inform me about it in advance?”
Mr. Luo asked angrily.
“I just got the news. Three Billion Foundation brought the suit before the court half an hour ago. We don’t know what’s happing either.”
The assistant answered in a panic.
“Go.”
Mr. Luo slammed his hard on the desk and ordered, “Go to the court right now and find out what’s happening!”
Immediately, the assistant turned around and hurried out.
However…
He didn’t need to inquire about it anymore.
It was because another screenshot was sent to the WeChat group.
This time, it was no longer about Three Billion Foundation’s official Weibo account. Instead, it was a post released on Fang Qiu’s personal Weibo account!
In this Weibo post…
Without any further ado, Fang Qiu presented the chain of evidence. He pointed out the relationship among doctors, middleman A, middleman B, and Qiming Pharmaceutical Company. In addition, there was enough evidence to prove these people didn’t do any formal business dealings with each other!
Fang Qiu’s Weibo account…
Tens of millions of people followed it.
Because of the latest scandal, some people unfollowed Fang Qiu on Weibo. Later, the police declared that the fake medicinal herbs had nothing to do with Fang Qiu and the Foundation. After that, those who no longer paid attention to Fang Qiu returned to his Weibo account and even brought many new fans.
As soon as this brand-new post was sent out…
Without a doubt, countless people viewed it immediately.
“What the hell! This is irrefutable evidence!”
“Qiming Pharmaceutical Company seems to be the first company to stop their cooperation with the Foundation and publicize their decision. When they released the news, they made a good impression on many people. I didn’t expect them to be the initiator of this scandal!”
“Oh, bloody hell! This company is so shameless. It kicked Fang Qiu when he was down and fooled all of us. Beyond all these, it was also the chief offender when it came to slandering the Foundation. That is extremely shameless!.”

It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
