Five long years have passed since Cypher discovered his origins, claimed his inheritance, and left the Academy behind to keep the Order from getting their hands on him. Despite his power and skill as a Conductor reaching new heights, and new abilities revealing themselves, he soon finds himself stuck at a plateau. At the behest of Alvin and in search of a way to breakthrough his mental block, he delves into the depths of the earth in search of an ancient artifact of great power.

However, he soon comes face to face against the mysterious Order of Eternal Night once again as they plan their return and threaten to shatter a peace that has been cultivated for millennia. As their schemes unfold, Cypher will struggle against his greatest challenge yet: The Minus, a nightmare resurrected from the forgotten memory of humanity’s bloody past. With the threat of one of these Apex predators once again challenging the world, will Cypher have what it takes to survive its wrath and unravel the plans of the Order at the same time?
