Dream felt lonely.
Constantly.
It had felt less worse once George finally moved in, but since George was meeting so many people and traveled around with Sapnap, he felt left out. More alone then ever before, because there was nothing to look forward to, that might've helped ease the constant heaviness of being alone.
He just wanted to have someone to cuddle.
He just wanted to have someone to talk.
He just wanted to have someone.
And then today, the front door unlocked and George came inside, earlier then expected.
"I'm home!", he shouted and Dream looked over from the sofa, peeking over the edge of the pillow he was holding tightly in his arms.
"Hey", he mumbled, before sinking back onto the sofa. "Are you okay?", George asked and Dream swallowed. "Yeah, I'm fine"
"You don't seem fine, what's wrong?", George said, sitting down in on the edge of where Dream was laying down.
The blonde felt tears in his eyes, shook his head slightly, holding the pillow tighter.
He felt alone. Like nothing would change even if George knew.
He would always feel so heavy with being the one left out of plans, being the one that wouldn't get hugs and being the one that wasn't wasn't worth paying attention to.
His head fell against the pillow as he choked out a broken sob.
"Dream", George sighed, gently pulling the pillow from his arms, hugging him, himself instead, "Talk to me"
Dream buried his face in Georges shoulder.
"Just don't let go", he sobbed and held George like he was all he had, all he ever wanted, all he needed right now and always.
Gently the brunette held the back of his head, turned them so Dream could comfortably rest on his chest.
He waited, knew this wasn't the time to push him to talk. His sobs were breaking George's heart and the brunette couldn't help but question if he had done something wrong.

"You can tell me everything, you know that, right?" "I'm just so lonely", Dream sobbed, "I'm always so lonely"
George hugged him tighter.
"We're always here if you need us", he said and Dream shook his head. "You're not, not in the way I would want you to be, but I can't- I can't just demand you to do things", he sobbed, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything. Don't feel bad"
"Let's talk about this hypothetically. What do you need?" "Hugs, everyday, long and honest cuddles, talking about my day, because no one ever asks. Someone telling me I'm good enough and that I deserve to be held and cuddled and loved", Dream whispered, voice thick with tears, "Someone I can love and make happy." "Let's do that. Everyday. I'll be that to the best of my abilities"
Dream felt his heart jump. "Really?"
"Yes, I would try anything to make you happy" "Thank you", Dream sobbed and then he felt a kiss pressed to the top of his head.
His heart started racing. This felt so good.
Days and days passed and George held his promise. He'd pull Dream into hugs every morning when he came down from his room into the kitchen, reassured Dream that he loved it when he hugged him from behind and gently ruffled his hair when the blonde would rest his head on his shoulder.
"Don't let go", he mumbled, when Dream let go of him. "Didn't I take up enough of your time? I feel like I'm wasting your time"
George pulled him closer again and mumbled: "You're not wasting my time, I'm so much happier since we cuddle all the time. You're so warm and I love holding you and getting held by you" "Really?", Dream asked a bit breathless and George nodded, nuzzled against Dreams neck.

He smelled so good, so incredibly good.
Dream felt a smile tug on his lips, before suddenly- "Do you smell that too? Is something burning?" "Oh shit, the bacon!", George said and turned to the stove, quickly taking the pan off of it.
Later that day, Dream was watching a show, when George came over for cuddles.
Since they cuddled every day George finally realized how touch starved he had been as well and how good it felt to be close to someone, how good it felt to be close to Dream. He also felt like he was coming to terms with his feelings for the blonde.
He had liked him for as long as he could remember, but now he realized it was surely more then just friendship.
"Dream?" "Hm?" "I'm in love with you"
Dream sat up so quickly George gasped in surprise. "Are you serious?", he asked and the spark of hope and joy in his eyes made Georges heart melt. "Yes, I'm serious", he replied with a soft smile.
Dream teared up and smiled, hugged him tightly. "I love you too"
George gently reached for his cheeks and closed the distance between them for a long and soft kiss.
And finally, Dream felt not alone.

Blinded by the dream of immortality, the researchers push the tests to inhumane standards. John then reincarnates with his AI in a new world where a System influences the interaction between Magic and Matter. With seemingly limitless potential and a game-like system influencing the world, the hero sets on his journey. --AUTHOR NOTE, PLEASE READ-- I will state here my promises to you, potential reader: 1. No harem! I don't trust myself to make a harem feel natural or healthy, I never met any person who has a personality that can adapt and live in a harem for reasons that are not monetary, so I can't draw inspiration from real life. Sorry!; 2. The enemies will not be bland and illogically mean. Some may feel like that at first, but I will take great care in fleshing them out, trust me. You may end up hating some, but you won't be able to deny that they had their reasons for what they did; 3. I am using a paid (and expensive) automated editor tool, and I take longer to write because I take my time in editing the stuff. I am aiming to improve and I will not shy away from constructive criticism, nor take offense for no reason; 4. Characters will die and will suffer, some will get over the tragedies and improve, others will not be as resilient. 5. This novel has a lot of ground to cover, it is neither a short story, a manual on crafting, or the script of some action scene. There will be both time skips and oversimplifications of some actions for the sake of moving the story forward. Time skips will be more prominent in the first 30 chapters. I will describe crafting processes and fights with more detail if they are essential for the chapter; 6. If I took my time describing something, it's because it is important. I hate novels that waste time describing useless stuff. If you skim over something, the chances are that something in the future will not make sense. I am an adept of "Chekhov's gun" principle; 7. I already have 31k words on my auxiliary documents, I have a plan for the story, and I will not be making changes even if someone ends up noticing some foreshadowing and figures out what will happen. The story comes first. 8. I have a wife, a job that demands 9h every day and courses related to my job (lawyer) three days of the week, it's unlikely that I will be able to do mass releases at all. I will have a healthy amount of chapters to be able to post at least 1 chapter every day continually. Don't worry. 9. I will read all the comments. I will listen to all you have to say and will try my best to accommodate demands as long as they do not hamper the path I prepared. 10. There is an arc that spans the entire novel. Each volume will be an arc in itself while progressing a little bit of the main arc. Every arc will have one or more main antagonists. I think that's it! Thank you for reading it all. Have an awesome time reading my first novel!!

Vendor of Spirits
A warlock once made a pact with the Powers Above. He snuck in a clause that resurrected him whenever he died, with all his memories intact. This made the Powers Above very angry, so they erased his memories and reincarnated him as a simple barmaid in a sleepy village where she could do no harm. I don’t know any of this, of course. I just find it very annoying that she’s chosen me to tag along with.
