《A Dance With Hades》Fifteen|A Week

I walk out of my bedroom, scratching my very itchy scalp as I make my way to the living room.
I haven't seen Vincenzo in the past week and I'm getting worried on why he hasn't come by to visit or why he hasn't even messaged me.
Nicola and Angelo say he's just a busy man and he will come back to me when he has the time.
I understand being the King of the underworld is a lot, but even a simple text message to tell me he's doing fine would make me stop worrying.
I'm already worried about this man and I've only been with him for a week.
If he is going to be gone for so long in the future without telling me what's going on then I don't know how this relationship is going to survive.
I'm giving him a chance mainly because I think we might work out, but also because Lorenzo made it sound so convincing that his brother wants me and only me.
Having someone like Vincenzo in my life might mess things up or make my life more exciting.
I live a wallflower life and I would really like to do something different with my life.
That heated kiss we shared is still on my mind and I so badly want to kiss him again. The simple motion of his lips had my mind wandering to dark places I've never been before.
My body reacted in such a way I didn't want it to. I wanted more than just that kiss and I knew I would be going against everything I said to Vincenzo if I let it go on.
When I tugged on his belt buckle, I was trying to get his attention so I could withdraw myself from the kiss.
My mind was telling me to do more than just tug on it, but it was the erratic feeling floating around the air that made me feel that way.
I felt so weak with his hands simply placed on my waist. The ideas of going further than just a kiss spiked when he went between my legs and up my pyjama top.

My legs were weak around his hips and my core was aching for his attention. Something as simple as a kiss had me wanting more, much, much more.
I walk into the kitchen and grab two apples from the fridge.
Angelo and Nicola went behind my back and stocked my entire kitchen with food so I woke up to my cupboards packed with healthy snacks and junk food. And my fridge is stacked with everything needed for a balanced diet.
Just because I'm always petty, I didn't talk to them for two days, but forgave them after realising that I'm angry at them for looking out for my health.
I make my way out of the kitchen and to the front door. I open the door and step out into the hallway to be met by my two friends.
"Morning guys," I chirp while handing the apples to them.
They smile at me as they take large bites out of the fruit. I've been getting closer to Nicola and Angelo over the week and I'm glad to say that they are my friends.
They told me about their lives before and after they were training for the mafia and I told them about my life, revealing a few things that hurt me in the past.
They were there to comfort me as we talked about things and that's something I've never had before.
"Are you going out today?" Angelo asks while chewing the bits of his green apple.
He told me he only likes the dark green apples so I made sure to have them in the fridge for whenever he wants a little snack.
"I don't think so. I already went to see my father, so there's nothing else for me to go do," I say with a shrug.
My father has never looked so disappointed in me. When I told him I'm in a relationship with Vincenzo he couldn't even look me in the eye.
He didn't want to hear my reasoning at all. He just kept scolding and lecturing me on what a stupid mistake I was making.

I slump down on the couch and check my phone for a message from Vincenzo, but nothing.

I've been waiting around for hours to see if he's going to come knocking at my door, but it's already ten o'clock at night so I doubt he's going to come.
And I haven't went back out to talk to Angelo and Nicola after giving them their apples.
They can come into the house at whatever time they want, but I think they sensed my down mood and picked to let me be for a while.
I'm probably acting like needy middle school girlfriend, but I just want to talk to Vincenzo.
We didn't have much time together after the whole kiss thing because he had to go to work.
He told me he will come see me soon and I was hoping soon would be the next day, but it's been a week and soon seems like to be far away.
Someone knocks on the door and I shout come in instead of getting up to open the door. Angelo and Nicola won't let anyone who isn't supposed to be here into my apartment so I know it's safe.
The door slowly opens and my heart stops beating as I await to see my guest. I sigh when I see Riccardo and Lorenzo walk in without Vincenzo.
"Sorellina, it's been a while," Lorenzo says while walking closer to the couch I'm currently sulking on. "Come on, get up and give your brother a hug," he says while playfully narrowing his eyes at me.
I roll my eyes as I force myself off the couch. He wraps his arms around my upper body as I throw mine around his neck.
"What's wrong?" He asks while pulling away from the short hug.
"It's probably Vincenzo," Riccardo says with a shrug and I nod. "He hasn't been here in a while, you miss him, right?" I slowly nod and Lorenzo rubs my back.
"He's just busy. He didn't tell you where he was going before he left?" Lorenzo asks and I shake my head. "He isn't in the country right now. He had to go sort something out in person with our Japanese friends," he explains and I only nod.
It wouldn't have killed him to tell me that he isn't going to be in the country for a few days. Just knowing would have put some ease into my mind.
"Yeah, those Japanese are always giving us problems. I would've expected more problems from the Russians," Riccardo chuckles while shaking his head.
"You can sit down," I say while indicating to the couches and they smile before sitting down next to each other. "Do you guys know when he's coming back?"
"He will be back in New York tomorrow," Riccardo answer and I smile a little.
"How is it being in a Mafia?" I blurt out without thinking and Lorenzo chuckles. "Sorry I didn't mean to–"
"It's ok sorellina," Riccardo says with a smirk. "It's fun, well only when you have a position of power."
"Do you guys have enemies?" I ask like a curious toddler and they nod.
"We have allies and enemies, sometimes two in one. There are days where our allies like us then out of the blue they want to wipe out our entire organisation," Riccardo explains and I nod, waiting to hear more.
Their lives seem to be filled with money, drugs, guns, power and a whole lot of murder. It intrigues me for some reason and I want to know everything about it.
"We even have a few issues with the American-Italian mafia, but we have good ties with the Bravta and the Yakuza," Lorenzo says instead of Riccardo.
My nose scrunches up in confusion. "What's that?"
"The Bravta is the Russian mafia, real nasty fuckers, but they have helped us in the past. The Yakuza, the people Vincenzo is meeting right now, is the Japanese mafia," he explains and my lips make an 'o' shape.
I listen as they explains what goes on in their world, so much of it sounding interesting.
