"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."

The damage upon the surface was bad. Like, ludicrously bad. Some buildings and stores were crushed, and chunks of metal, glass and rubble covered the ground like a layer of snow. It was nowhere near safe for any citizens to come outside, let alone you guys.
The dust hadn't even begun to settle, and you could barely see ten feet in front of you. Luckily, Hawks had taken the liberty of standing in front of everyone and flapping away as much of the dust he could with his wings. It wasn't even safe for any of you to be walking outside. But you would be damned if you had to stay down in that place any longer.
Looking to the side, you spotted Aizawa. Lord knows you had plenty of questions to ask him, but right now you needed to ask the one that was most important to you.
"Where's Jasper? I wanna hit him."
"(Y/N)," Hawks said from in front of you, "We need to get you to the hospital to get checked. We don't know what state you're in right now, and we need to make sure you're feeling okay."
"Let me hit Jasper and I'll be fine."
"(Y/N), you're not going to hit Jasper," was Aizawa's response.
"I'll shoot him then."
"You can't do that."
"In the face."
"You're not shooting anyone."
"I'm going to shoot him two times in the face."
"(Y/N), no."
"What—"
"(Y/N)," Todoroki said from next to you, and you looked at up, not stopping your quick pace, "Trust me, I'm as mad as you are. And hey," he gently gripped your hand, stopping you in your tracks, and held it in both of his hands, "I promise you, you will get the opportunity to punish him."
You had to refrain from making a certain dirty joke. It wasn't his fault he was using certain words, it was just your dirty mind. First bonding, and now punishing.
Still though. He had to at least know just a LITTLE about what it could mean.
You just fucked up the world, why were you thinking about this?
Maybe because as he stared down at you with those kind and gentle eyes you had grown to love, it became clear to you how much effort he had been putting in to remain by your side. While you were off galavanting and hurting him in the process, he had decided to stay.
You stared at him. He was so beautiful. He was handsome before. But now, after all this time; seeing his character, what he's gone through, what he's pushed through, what he would do for his friends and family, what he would do for you. Now he was absolutely beautiful.
You hadn't even known your hand was reaching up for his face until your palm rested gently against his cheek. You could still see the tear tracks, and his cheeks warmed at your touch. Putting a few loose strands of hair behind his ear, you smiled. Then you leaned in and kissed him. You felt his eyes flutter shut, and you felt his body completely relax under your touch.
"Never before did I ever think I'd be glad to see PDA, but here we are," was Mina's necessary comment, causing you to break the kiss and laugh. Todoroki dropped his head onto your shoulder in embarrassment.

"Let's get you back, hey," Aizawa said, gently ruffling the top of your head. "You both look really tired."

"God, I don't wanna make any jokes about her looking like she's dead now."
"Ehe, preferably not."
"Midoriya, is that her?"
"A-ah, yes. Thankfully."
". . . This is a pretty messed up prank, man."
"I promise you, it's her!"
"It's not good to break promises, Midoriya."
"Kaminari!"
"I'll believe she's not a hologram when she tells me something only (Y/N) would know."
"I can literally hear you guys."
Kaminari's head snapped to you, and his eyes were wide and unblinking. "(Y/N)?"
"No, it's All Might. Can't you see how big and buff I am with my smile of a thousand suns sitting right below my beautiful mountain of blond hair—"
Kaminari didn't waste another second in rushing over and squeezing the daylights out of you. You chuckled, gently rubbing his back, blinking back a few tears. He hadn't showered, but he had received a change of clothes after they had gotten back. He still had a few scrapes and cuts on him, and the charcoal on his hands and face were still very visible.
Pulling back, you felt your heart wrench as you looked at him. He still had plenty of tear tracks on his face, from both old and new ones, and you gently rubbed your thumb against the dry blood that covered the cut on his forehead. You frowned when his head flopped against yours, his forehead pressing against yours heavily. He didn't mean to do it on purpose; you could see the dark circles under his eyes.
You closed your eyes when you felt the familiar sting in them and sighed. You still had to kick Jasper's ass. Now that you were awake and fully rejuvenated, you wanted to do nothing more than punch him square in the jaw. Seeing everyone so broken made you upset, and you all knew that you weren't just going to punch Jasper when the time came.
"I wonder if I'm going to jail or not," you chuckled, and Kaminari huffed out a small laugh, pulling away from you.
"I hope not," he said. "If so, though, I guess we're gonna have to devise a plan to break you out."
You huffed out a half-laugh. "You guys have done way more than enough for me, you don't need to break me out of jail."
"We may not need to, but we're more than willing to do it."
You shook your head, not being able to contain your smile. They were crazy.
"(Y/N)?" You turned your head and saw Bakugou in your doorway.
Wait, why were Kaminari and Midoriya in your house?
That question quickly left your mind as you watched Bakugou stumble brokenly over to you, a mixed look of relief and anger on his exhausted face as he looked at you.
"Lemme guess, you thought I was dead."
"Fuck you," he croaked out, and you felt horrible when he hugged you, desperately clawing onto you. You clung onto him just as tightly, no longer able to hold back your tears. He continued to curse you out through his sobs, and you did nothing but run your fingers through his hair as an attempt to calm him.
You stumbled down with him as he clumsily fell to his knees, hunching over you as he cried into your shoulder.
You didn't know what else to say, not wanting to focus more on what recently happened, so you asked, "Why are Midoriya and Kaminari in our house?"

Bakugou sniffed, and you oddly found yourself relaxing when the familiar glare returned to his face. "Oh, they're having a whole fucking party downstairs. We've got everyone here, they refuse to leave until they see you. Hurry the fuck up, Kirishima already broke one of the game controllers."
"Not mine, right?"
"They're both the same."
"Mine's the one with that long scratch along the back."
"For the love of god, it DOES NOT MATTER, JUST GO." Bakugou basically pushed you down the stairs.
You almost didn't want to see anyone downstairs. You didn't want to face them; didn't want to see their broken expressions. Yeah, they knew you were moderately okay, but you weren't ready for what came afterward. Their cautious looks, them WAITING for something to happen.
Hell, not even you knew if you were going to do something again. You were certain about one thing, though— ever since you literally rose from the fucking dead, you felt every bit of pressure and pain from beforehand disappear. You no longer felt your quirk, or the splitting damage it was doing to your head. You actually felt like you had control over it, and god knows it was a wonderful feeling.
But they didn't know that. You didn't know if they were going to be afraid of you. They probably would be. You just fucking destroyed the world within a few minutes.
Obviously sensing your hesitancy, Midoriya (who was already halfway down the stairs when he looked back at you) smiled gently, holding out his hand. You felt your tension ease just a little as you smiled back gratefully, taking his hand and letting him lead you down the stairs.
"Hurry up, fuckers, I wanna play Rocket League."
"Kacchan!"
You breathed in deeply before letting go of Midoriya's hand and jumping the rest of the way down the stairs, choosing to just throw yourself in. As you landed with a loud thump, everyone turned to look at you, the room silent.
It remained like that for a while, before you finally said, "If we could really hurry this along, I wanna play Valorant."
"Oh shoot, you play too?" Hawks asked, and you blinked in surprise.
"Uh yeah? Wait, who's your favourite agent?"
"I'm more of a Jett man myself."
"Oh, of course you—"
"Um. . . Hello?"
You blinked, focusing on Bakugou's mother standing with her husband, her hands on her hips in a stern manner. "I believe we've all been waiting in stress to see how you are. In my house, as well. I can't cater to this many people, it's exhausting."
"Oh!" You laughed awkwardly. "I'm fine. I won't fuck up anything anymore, don't worry."
"You idiot," Mina said, staring at you incredulously. You frowned at her. "You think what we're worried about is if your quirk is gonna go all out-of-whack again? (Y/N), we're wondering if YOU'RE okay. There is no way you're feeling good after what just happened!"
She was right, you didn't feel great at all. Obviously, seeming as you assumed all they cared about was if you were gonna basically explode again.
Smiling as your heart leaped with gratitude, you held back tears, "I'll be okay."
"Do you promise?"
You smiled and walked up to her. Placing a hand on her shoulder, you looked directly into her eyes and answered the most honest answer you've ever given in your life, "I promise I will try my best to."
For Mina, that was probably the best answer you could've given her, and she blinked away the tears in her ears before pulling you in for a tight hug. "I was so worried. We were so worried."
Soon Kirishima joined the hug, then Midoriya, then Kaminari and the rest of the group, along with Hawks and All Might.
And fuck, you could not hold your tears back whatsoever. Because you knew. You knew that you weren't deserving of this. They should be throwing you in a containment unit and fearing you. But no, here they are, hugging the life out of you because they were worried about you. And boy, were you grateful.
And because you were a fucking pussy who would never admit to their faces that you loved them with all your heart, your brain went with the alternative, "Guys, crazy question. Is our friend Claire actually Chris Hemsworth?"
There was silence for a moment, and then Kaminari wheezed, "Bu-But we've been friends with Claire for years!"
"I would like some context," Aizawa asked from outside the circle of hugs.
"If you know, you know. You don't, you don't," was your reply. "But guys, I'm beginning to sweat, so could we please finish this another time?"
Everyone pulled away, and you sighed, kind of already missing the hug. Looking around, you noticed someone was missing.
"Where's Shouto?"
"Uh. . ." Kaminari laughed awkwardly as he looked at Kirishima, who stared back at him with panicked eyes. "He's uh. . . Off on his own adventure."
You looked at your mark.
"Did. . ." Bakugou frowned, "Did you just check your mark to see if he was cheating on you?"
"What?! No." you said. You had to refrain from laughing because for the smallest moment, that's exactly what you were thinking. You headed over to the front door, "How bad does outside look?"
Everyone shouted protests as you went to open it, and you frowned, looking back at them. "What?"
"You can't go out there yet." Tokoyami said, placing a gentle hand on your shoulder.
You smiled, "I appreciate you guys trying to protect me, but I have to face it eventually."
And with that, you opened the door, despite everyone's much more aggressive protests.
It was bright and sunny outside. No trace of dust or rubble or anything. The streets were clean, and you could see in the distance that construction on the buildings in the city were almost finished.
'Holy fuck, that was fast.'
But most important of all: there stood Todoroki. Now blushing in embarrassment as his hands froze around his neck, halfway through tying a tie. You felt your face heat up and you couldn't contain your smile as you looked at your soulmate.
"You. . ." he stuttered, his hands still wrapped around the cloth around his neck, "you weren't supposed to open the door yet."
You didn't say anything at first. You just stood there and admired him. He wore a black suit, the blazer unbuttoned and revealing his white button-up shirt. His tie was now hanging loose around his neck, and his hair a little ruffled, probably from the countless times he'd messed with it.
Smiling, you stepped up to him, "You look very handsome." His cheeks reddened and you chuckled, "Although I don't know why you're dressing up so nicely."
"Oh!" he blinked, snapping out of his trance. You watched as he reached down to the side and picked up a bunch of flowers. "I just wanted to give you these."
You smiled, gently taking the flowers from him. "You dressed up so nice to give me some flowers?"
"I'm sorry, I didn't just want to give you flowers casually, it feels. . . Weird to me," he smiled awkwardly.
You shook your head, smiling, "Well I appreciate it. This is a very nice surprise."
He smiled back, gently grabbing your waist and pulling you closer. "How are you feeling?"
"So much better, in fact, that I want to go and beat up Jasper."
He chuckled, and you noticed a little sparkle in his eye as he leaned forward so your noses were almost touching. In a low voice, he spoke, "How about you worry about those who are around you rather than those who have betrayed you? Just for now."
"Damn," you whispered, "wise words from such a young soul."
He giggled, shaking his head and leaning forward, "You're such an idiot."
He pressed his lips to yours, and you absolutely melted against them. Wrapping your arms around your neck, you felt that familiar spark where the mark on your arm laid. But you didn't pull away. It was a warm feeling, something that filled every fibre of your being and became the most comforting thing you had ever felt in your life.
Pulling away for just a moment, he whispered against your lips, "I love you, (Y/N) (L/N)."
You couldn't help but giggle the same way he had not even a moment ago, and you replied, "I love you more, Shouto Todoroki."
He beamed at you, pressing his forehead against yours. And then something came out of his mouth that you had never expected him to say.
"Country boooy, I love yoouuu."
You gasped and pulled back, tears reaching your eyes once again. "You-You-You—"
"I've been brushing up on my Vine material lately. Thanks to Kaminari. We watched a few compilations while we waited for you to wake up."
You turned back to see Kaminari, his arms crossed and him smiling proudly. "You did that?"
He dramatically held an invisible cigarette between his fingers, "smoking" it and saying in a very bad Italian mafia accent, "I didn't do it for you. I did it for the boy."
You didn't know how much Kaminari was hurting, and you never would. But you knew that even despite confessing to you, and you rejecting him, he still stepped up and was willing to help Todoroki.
"Thank you," you whispered, and he smiled.
"Anytime."
"(Y/N)," Aizawa said, and your head whipped to look at him. "I believe there's something you want to do?"
You smiled the most chaotic smile you've ever made in your life.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
"Well well well, look what the cat dragged in," you said smugly as you approached Jasper. "I gotta say, it's nice seeing some revenge every once in a while. Good to see you tied up in the chair and not me."
He didn't say a single thing, just sat there restrained to his chair and glaring at you.
"Looks good on you. How much did you get on your sentence again?"
No answer again.
"Aizawa, how much time did he get on his sentence again?"
"About fifteen years. Not long enough, but that's just my opinion." Aizawa said from the corner.
"That's okay," you said, placing your hands on either arm of the chair, right where his wrists were. You pushed against them as you leaned forward. "We'll be waiting right here when he's released. Isn't that right, Jasper?"
He again, didn't say anything. You felt the corner of your lips perk up in a smirk, and you gazed at the metal bar around his neck. It was attached to the chair, but it wasn't pressed against his neck at all, only there to act as a makeshift door stopper if he tries to move his head too much.
Gazing at it, you didn't need to focus much as it began to tighten around his neck. Aizawa made no move to stop you, remaining in his corner, and Todoroki also didn't do anything, staying at the door and letting you do your thing. You watched sadistically as Jasper flinched once the metal began to tighten against his skin. "So answer this question at least. Were you the one that caused all those inexperienced quirk users to implode in the past?"
When he didn't reply again, you had your answer.
"So you've failed."
No answer.
"Over and over again."
He gritted his teeth as he struggled against his restraints. "I already have a plan for next time."
"Well I'm assuming you would, seeming as you've got fifteen more years left to sit here and ponder about how you'll try and do the exact same thing you've been doing for god-knows-how-many years now."
Hiding it with your hand, you slowly formed a small dagger and pointed it at Jasper's throat.
"But when you finally get set loose, just know that on the other side of that door will be me, standing there with every knife you could possibly imagine pointed at you."
