"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."

- Julie Dillon

I just want you guys to be incredibly careful with this. This does contain some topics in terms of k**n*pping and being held h*st*ge. Although there's not much in here that would be considered sensitive to people who haven't gone through this, sometimes it's the small things that can upset someone. So I do strongly advise that if you are sensitive to this stuff, please stop reading. I don't want you getting upset.

You felt relief hit your body like a train when the pain stopped, your head hanging in front of you as if you were dead. The projector stopped playing another clip, and Dabi stepped away, smirking.

"Aaand. . ." Jasper trailed off as he checked his phone. "We're good! Everything is all ready to go."

You couldn't think. Your brain felt like it had been eradicated. So when Jasper walked up to you, you were barely paying attention. Placing his hands on the arms of the chair, his grip on your wrists tight, he came close to your face and spoke in a low voice, "Sweetheart, if you couldn't even handle that, then you're gonna be in for one hell of a ride with what I have in store for you next."

He realised you weren't listening and just chuckled before standing up straight and turning to Dabi and Shigaraki, "Leave her be. She needs to restore her energy for the final phase." Turning back to you, he said, "Get some sleep."

And sleep is what you did.

"Come on," Todoroki huffed out in frustration as he watched over the cop's shoulder. They were looking over the security footage around the Skytree, looking to see if they could find you anywhere. However, all they could see was the structure straightening out, with neither you nor Jasper being anywhere in sight. They couldn't even find you at any buildings surrounding it.

"Why can't we see them?" Aizawa muttered as he stared intently at the screen.

Detective Tsukauchi sighed, clicking between different cameras as he searched. "I don't know. If they were really there, then something must have happened to the actual footage. It still does show the Skytree being repaired, so the only thing I can think of is that the footage must have been tampered with in such a way that it's undetectable to the naked eye."

Aizawa frowned, "Of course. That must've been what they'd done when they showed the quote-unquote 'footage' of her parents'. . ." He struggled with his words. "Her parents' deaths."

"Jesus," the Detective said, "the fact that they would do that. . ."

Todoroki mumbled something to himself, and the two adults turned back to look at him. "What did you say, Todoroki?" Aizawa asked.

"The archive centre Jasper took us to. The thing he was in charge of looking after that we went down to take a look at in order to help (Y/N) find answers about her quirk."

"You're saying they're down there?" Aizawa asked.

"I'm saying they're underneath it." Todoroki answered, pulling out his phone. "When we were in the elevator going down, there was a red button underneath the emergency one. The symbol on it was scratched off."

Aizawa eyes widened a little bit at the picture Todoroki showed him as he vaguely remembered Todoroki asking Jasper about the button. (Y/N) was spaced out in the corner of the elevator, and after worrying over her for thirty seconds nonstop, he decided to ask Jasper about the button he had noticed upon entering.

"Do you remember what he said?" Todoroki asked, his gaze set on his teacher.

Aizawa did, "All he said was that it was an old emergency button that malfunctioned. I did think about why they couldn't just fix the button rather than just installing a new one, but I'm not an expert so I ignored it."

"What if it's a button for a seperate level? Perhaps one underground, underneath those records. He's been alive for hundreds of years, what makes this so impossible?"

Aizawa turned to the Detective, and the speed at which he swung his head around caused the man to stand up straight, realising the seriousness of the situation. "I cannot stress this enough. I can't guarantee that we'll get there in time for what Jasper has planned next." Looking him dead in the eye, Aizawa said, "This could affect the whole world. Get people safe. Whether it be underground or whatever. Avoid metal structures or buildings in particular. When I say all hell is gonna break loose, I mean it. Keep people safe."

The Detective nodded his head, "I got it. You gather your people. I will send my own officers to assist."

"Thank you, Tsukauchi," Aizawa said sincerely before standing up. "Todoroki, let's go."

"You're going to let him fight?" Tsukauchi asked, and Aizawa sighed.

"As much as I don't want to, he's not gonna be the only kid who's going to want to fight with me. Plus, he's her soulmate. They've grown a lot these past few months, so. . ." Aizawa looked at Todoroki, who childishly glared at Chief Tsuragamae as he walked by.

"She needs him," the Detective finished off for him.

Aizawa nodded his head, chewing the inside of his cheek lightly before saying, "They need each other."

"'Knock knock,' said the devil," a voice chuckled from a distance, and you forced yourself to peel your eyes open. You noticed Jasper's silhouette almost immediately, and you nearly let out a sob of frustration.

"What do you want now?" You croaked out, trying your best to not wince at the dryness of your throat. You couldn't remember the last time you had some water, or food for that matter.

Jasper hummed lightly in response, not really giving you a proper answer as he dragged a wooden stool in front of you. He sat rather close, so much so that his legs were hitting yours. He had something in his hands, and you had to blink so your eyes could focus properly. He was holding a labelled bottle of water and a microwaved pre-cooked meal. You noticed the brand of the meal, having bought so many as a form of dinner for when your aunt was working.

The pain in your head at the thought of your aunt was only subtle compared to what you were used to, but your brain was already mentally fried. You guessed it couldn't take much more at the moment.

You watched as Jasper peeled off the plastic film covering the meal, and your stomach growled loudly as you were able to smell it. You felt the steam from where you were sitting, and you had to stop your mouth from watering.

Jasper grabbed a plastic fork and used it to scoop up some of the food. Bringing it close to his lips, he gently blowed on it to cool it down.

Was this bitch gonna eat right in front of you? Then again, what were you expecting? He's got you tied to a chair and using your trauma as a tool to tear down the world.

"Here."

You blinked, looking at the fork he was holding in front of your face. You narrowed your eyes at it before glaring back up at him. "Heh?"

"Eat."

"Why?" You felt your stomach growl again, and he raised his eyebrows at you.

"Because you need sustenance," he said. "I can't have that quirk malfunctioning in the middle of my final step just because its user was hungry and low on energy. Now eat."

You wanted oh-so-badly to refuse. But your stomach was beginning to get sore at how hungry you were getting, and your throat felt like sandpaper. That plus the sea of hammers to the head wasn't going to be fun.

Plus, for the sake of the plot—*SLAP*

You opened your mouth a little, and he fed you the fork-full of food. You had to refrain from making any noises of satisfaction as you chewed, also half-glad that he didn't put anything in it to kill you.

Wow, you really hadn't thought of that before taking a bite.

You both sat in silence as he continued to feed you fork-fulls of the meal. Once you were done, he placed the tray on the ground with the fork and opened the bottle of water. The seal cracked, telling you that it hadn't been opened before that. He gently brought the bottle to your lips and tipped it slightly, allowing you to drink. Once you were done, he put the cap back on. You were surprised he was being so gentle with it.

To be fair, he wanted you to have some nutrition. And it wasn't like he was gonna throw the food at your face and dump the bottle of water over your head to make that happen.

He sat there for a little bit, staring at you in silence, almost observing. Before you were about to say something, he smirked and hummed before standing up. He picked up the rubbish from the meal and the bottle of water and paced away. Just as he was almost out of earshot, you heard him say, "Have a good rest."

You frowned. You had just woken up, why would you automatically go back to—

A wave of dizziness hit you, and you swore you were floating on clouds.

Turns out he did put something in the food.

You felt yourself slump forward in your chair, and your head hung low.

The last thing you saw was your mark, pulsing with red flashes between the gold.

"APOLOGISE."

"No."

"APOLOGISE!"

"I will not."

"Jesus Christ!" Kaminari exclaimed. "Get over with this bullshit! Bakugou, Todoroki's sorry he almost killed you with his quirk! Todoroki, Bakugou is sorry he was being so loud while you were trying to suss out the situation over the phone. Now can we MOVE ON?"

Both boys remained silent at Kaminari's outburst before mumbling silently in agreement.

"Is this everyone?" Aizawa asked, stepping into the main area of the dorms. He spotted nine students. Todoroki, Bakugou, Kaminari, Tokoyami, Kirishima, Mina, Uraraka, Midoriya and Iida. He looked around at the other teachers. Present Mic was present (not funny), along with Gran Torino and Hawks.

Nodding his head, he exhaled heavily. "Okay. And your parents know about this?"

They all nodded.

"And they're okay with it?"

One nod.

From Iida.

But that was it.

"Mine knew they couldn't stop me, so. . ." Kirishima said, and a lot of them mumbled in agreement, having been in the same predicament.

They heard Aizawa mumble a small 'dear god' to himself as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Alright. Now. You guys are under my protection. Under my supervision. When I tell you to do something, I mean it. No wandering off and doing your own thing. If I tell you to do something, you listen. Do I make myself clear?"

A couple of them groaned (particularly Bakugou and Kaminari) and one 'tsk'ed (namely Todoroki), but other than that, they were all in agreement.

"Present Mic, Hawks," Aizawa said. "When Todoroki says something in regards to (Y/N)'s location and/or safety, you listen to him. He's her soulmate, he'll know better than anyone. I've got all the pro heroes in their vicinities evacuating everyone, and some will remain outside to survey the area and try to prevent any casualties. Alright?"

"Yessir," Hawks said, saluting with two fingers.

"LET'S GET IIIIIIIIIIIIIT!" Present Mic screamed, sort of hyping everyone up.

"Alright, you heard the man," Aizawa said.

"Let's save (Y/N)," Todoroki muttered, stalking ahead of everyone else.
