"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."

"Travelling. . ." Jasper hummed out as he drove the car. "It's looking for something."

You nodded your head, your arms crossed against your chest nervously as you awaited his input. "We thought that the area of destruction was growing larger, but it isn't. When I had that episode yesterday, nothing around me was messed up. Not the lamps, not any mailboxes, nothing. It was only when I ran into the house after hearing my friend yell something."

"And you had bent the Skytree."

You frowned, "Not on purpose."

"No no," Jasper sighed, glancing at you for a moment, "I didn't mean it that way."

Currently, you and Jasper were on your way to the Skytree itself. After the incident the day before, Jasper had called up Aizawa and told him he wanted to see you. Needless to say, you weren't very happy that you were missing out on more education. Never before did you think you would want to go back to school, but now that you were behind on your lessons, this end-of-the-world bullshit was only gonna make it worse.

"So why are we going to the Skytree?" You sat up in your seat. "To figure out what my quirk is doing?"

"You're going to fix it," Jasper replied, shifting down gears before making a left turn.

You gazed at him stupidly. "What makes you think I can do that?"

He pulled over the car, parking it before turning the engine off. He opened the door, stepping out. "Because I have a very strong and very likely theory."

You jumped, realising it was time to get out, and you rushed to take off your seatbelt before opening the door and stepping out. You squinted under the sun as you looked up at the Skytree, closing the car door slowly. "Jesus."

It was exactly how it looked on the TV screen back at home. Besides it's newly twisted nature.

"Okay," Jasper said, strolling closer to the structure. "Get over here."

You nodded your head, stepping away from the car and walking to where he was. The place had been shut down due to the most recent events that had occurred, and police were constantly patrolling the base of the tower. You puffed out air from your cheeks, swinging your arms back and forth awkwardly. "So how are we gonna do this?"

Jasper turned around the opposite way, pointing at a building next to it. "We're gonna go on the roof of that building."

You let out a small 'oh' as he walked away, looking behind him for a quick moment before gesturing for you to follow him. You let out a small hopeless groan before rushing after him.

Once entered, Jasper went over to the elevator and pressed the button to go up, both of you stepping into it once it came down. Pressing the button for the top floor, Jasper stepped back as the doors closed, leaning against the wall opposite you. You just stood there awkwardly, swinging back on the heels of your feet as you kept your arms behind you. You watched the light above the doors as you got closer to the top floor. Glancing back at Jasper, you did a double-take when you saw him basically staring into your soul.

Shifting uncomfortably, you didn't back down from his stare. Instead, you asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

It wasn't his reply that had you thinking something was up. Nor was it the fact that his irises darkened a shade. Or that when you asked, his eyes narrowed a bit.

It was the small head tilt to the right. The shortest movement. His dark hair falling across his left eye. His amber eyes, despite his dark look, glowing more than ever. It was the quiet tone. The low voice that replied, "Like what?"

The ding of the elevator made you jump out of your skin as the elevator stopped. You watched the doors open, not moving. Looking back at Jasper, you watched as he got off the wall like nothing even happened. Blinking, you frowned, wondering if what you had just experienced even happened.

"Hey," his voice called out to you from outside the elevator, making you flinch again and look at him. He looked at you cautiously, letting off a small smile. "You alright?"

Mumbling a small 'what the fuck' under your breath, you nodded your head, slowly leaving the elevator. "Yeah, I'm good."

He hesitated before walking ahead, looking at you and asking again, "Are you sure?"

You let out a hum of confirmation, and he nodded before walking off toward the door at the end of the corridor. Opening it, he walked up the stairs, you following suit. You heard the door slam shut behind you, causing you to jump out of your skin yet again. Noticing, Jasper paused at the top of the steps, turning around to face you. Leaning back against the final door, he looked down at you. "You seem on edge. What's going on?"

Shaking yourself out of it, you breathed in deeply before huffing the air out. "Nothing, I'm okay. Just nervous. Let's get this over with."

He let out a small hum before nodding his head, "Alright."

Leaning back against the door, he pushed it open with his weight and stood on the roof, holding it open for you. You rushed up the steps, thanking him quietly as you got onto the roof. You looked over at the Skytree, sighing in almost-defeat. "I don't understand how I'm gonna do this."

"Simple," Jasper said, walking up behind you. "Channel all that trauma bullshit and fix the tower."

You frowned at his sudden use of language. Usually that was your job. He had never seemed like the type to talk so unprofessionally in a situation like this.

You felt yourself tense up as he didn't move from his spot behind you. You flinched when he leaned down to your ear, whispering, "So Aizawa's your dead aunt's soulmate, huh?"

Oh, you were a fucking idiot, weren't you?

Should'a ditched that elevator while you had the chance.

Turning to look at him, you stepped away. "Wha-What?"

You knew what he was trying to do, but once someone said something, it's not like you could ignore it completely. Like if someone told you not to think of a polar bear. The first thing you'll think about is a polar bear.

Or in this case, your dead aunt.

Pain flashed through your head like a set of drums in your head. Waves of pain washed over you, and you dropped to the ground, gripping onto your head, trying to ease the pain in any way.

The pain soon faded after a few more moments, and you felt yourself completely collapse, trying to cool your face against the cold concrete. Trying to calm your breathing, you slowly stood up, stumbling as you did so. It hurt to glare at Jasper, so all you could do was stare with hooded eyes as he checked his phone. He was silent, and before you could ask him what the hell that was about, he cleared his throat, looking back at the Skytree.

"Fixed."

You took a look for yourself, being shocked as you saw what he meant. It had been fixed.

You made a small noise of confusion. How could that happen? Whenever you would have those waves of pain, it would mess shit up, not fix it.

"Ah, yes," Jasper said, a small hint of satisfaction beneath his tone, "just as I thought. You're lucky the Shanghai tower has been under maintenance for the past few weeks. Could've killed a whole lot of people."

You felt your blood run cold at his words, and he strolled over to you, showing what he had displayed on his phone.

The top-half Shanghai tower in China was completely bent at a 90-degree angle. The glass was completely shattered at the point where it bent, and you could see people running around in a frenzy behind the reporter giving light on the recent event.

You felt yourself go dizzy, and you walked over to the door leading off the roof, leaning against it. "Oh my god. . ."

"So," Jasper said, locking his phone and putting it away. "We've fixed one problem, but created another. I wonder why that is."

Based on his tone, he already knew why, but you weren't given the opportunity to ask him before you felt your phone buzz. Quickly whipping it out, you shakily answered the call from Todoroki, opening the door and leaving Jasper on the roof. "Sho-Shouto—"

"(Y/N)! Where are you right now?!" His urgent tone spoke volumes through the speaker.

"I'm uh. . . I'm at the Skytree with Jasper. Shouto, did you know I just fucked up the Shanghai Tower?"

"Did you say you were with Jasper?" Todoroki asked, and you frowned.

"Yeah."

"(Y/N), get out of there! He's not there to help you. I need you to leave!"

You frowned. "Shouto, what—"

"He's not here to assist you in the way you think. He's not trying to help you control your power and fix everything; he's trying to release your power."

You swore loudly, not thinking twice before running down the flight of steps. Reaching the other door to lead you out, you went to open it, only to find it locked.

"It's locked!"

"(Y/N), for crying out loud, your whole thing is controlling metal, figure something out!"

"I'm gonna bend the lock—" you were cut off immediately by a strong blow to your head. Not one of your usual pain waves, but a strong knock. You felt yourself stagger to the side, dropping the phone. Sliding to the ground, you tried steadying your eyesight.

Despite the world spinning, you were still able to make out Jasper and his voice. "You know, (Y/N), I was a little stumped after you came to me about your quirk. It didn't make sense what is was doing. But when you came up with the conclusion that it was travelling, it had me thinking. Where to?"

You saw his boots in front of you, and he bent down to your level, grasping onto your chin as he forced you to look at him. "But then I realised that it hit the Skytree. That's a rather tall building. So I had a theory. What if your quirk was trying to find pillars?"

You frowned, trying hard to ignore the ringing in your left ear.

"And this little incident just now has confirmed that theory. 'Pillars to reach what?', you ask. Well, pillars to reach a certain few satellites way up there." He pointed his finger up.

You felt your heartbeat quicken as you realised what the was hinting at.

"Sweetheart," he muttered, leaning closer to your face as his eyes glowed with satisfaction. "Your quirk is gonna bring a shitload of satellite debris down to this earth. And boy, will it cause some damage."

You tried to stop yourself, but your body took over, causing you to slip out of consciousness, your last sight being Jasper's glowing gold irises as he let off a small chuckle.
