"Mitsuki-san, thank god."
"Amaya-san? What are you doing here? I feel like I haven't seen you in ages. Is. . . Is that (Y/N)?"
"Mi-Mitsuki. . ."
"Woah, hey, what's going on? Is everything okay?"
"They're dead."
"Wha-What?"
"They're dead, Mitsuki. They were murdered."
"Holy shit."
"Yeah."
"Yo, old hag, who is it?"
"Katsuki, take (Y/N) to your room."
"What happened?"
"I-I'll explain everything later. Just take her."
"Alright. . ."

"Oh my god, Shouto," you sighed in relief. You had gotten off your train half an hour earlier and decided to wait for him. "I'm so glad you're okay."
"I'm alright," he said, adjusting his bag on his shoulder.
"How was your internship with your dad?" You asked as you both began to walk back home.
He shrugged his shoulders slightly, "I did learn a lot more. It did help a lot during the fight against Stain. I also visited my mother a bit more to reconcile with her."
You smiled, gently rubbing his back, "That's good. I'm proud of you. For all of it. Willingly going to your father to learn from him and making amends with your mother. Also for that whole Stain thing. That could not have been easy."
He nodded his head, "It was difficult. I guess it's just made us stronger now."
You nodded your head, laughing, "If only I'd been there. I could have used a level up."
He chuckled quietly, looking at you, "How did your internship go?"
You felt like you were having war flashbacks as you remember Hawks trying to force your homemade airplane wings onto you and push you off the building. You were freaking out the whole time, and Tokoyami was looking absolutely panicked, but all Hawks had said was that 'the best way to learn was kinaesthetically'.

"Good," you smiled. "I definitely learned a lot. Both combat-wise, quirk-wise, and attitude-wise."
"I heard about your lecture at Hawks on your first day there. Tokoyami sent the message on the group chat." Your soulmate gave you a pointed look, and you huffed.
"Whatever. Made amends with him in the end after that incident." Saying that had made you remember the man you bumped into. The one that for some reason, reminded you of Todoroki.
"Hey, uhm. . ." Your steps faltered, and he noticed, stopping to turn around and look at you. You thought about how you should say it before you looked back at him. "Was there. . . I don't know. Was there anyone in your family who, perhaps, left. . . For any reason?"
His face was blank as he continued to gaze at you. When you realised he wasn't answering after a moment of standing in silence, you knew you had crossed a line. Waving your hands, you apologised profusely. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up."
You continued walking, him following soon after in silence. It was beginning to get awkward, but suddenly, he asked, "Why do you ask?"
"Oh," you felt your heart beat rapidly in your chest as you gulped nervously. There was no point in hiding what happened, but that didn't make you any less nervous. "I just. . . I bumped into something when I was coming back from the convenience store. He had the same eyes as you, or. . . Eye. I don't know, it was kind of strange."
"What did he look like?" He asked quietly. You slightly shuddered at the memory, and Todoroki noticed. "Are you cold?"
You laughed nervously and shook your head. "Ah, no. He had. . . Black hair. It was spiky, similar to Bakugou's. He had the same colour eyes as your blue one. He was quite tall." You hesitated with the next part. "He had. . . Scars all over him. Like, huge patches of them."
Todoroki frowned, but you continued.
"From the mouth down to his neck, and on his hands and arms, from what I could tell. He seemed to have quite a few piercings, too. Gave off a bad vibe, but he didn't do anything. Strange thing was that he knew about us. Like, he knew we were the soulmates. He also told me to say hi to you, so, yeah, Sketchy Guy said hi."

Todoroki hummed, bringing his finger to his lips as he stared off ahead, thinking. He spoke out, "He doesn't sound familiar at all. Maybe he just had a similar eye colour. He must have been some sort of threat if he knew us, though."
"Yeah," you said with an uncertain tone, "he could have just known us from the media, however. We have become quite popular, and that's on top of being in a popular hero school. It just seemed weird that he wanted to say hi to you."
"Maybe he was just trying to get under your skin?" Todoroki suggested. You noticed you both were approaching your house.
"Maybe. . ." you mumbled. You both stopped at your driveway, and you spun to look at him. "Either way, please be careful. Not only was there a guy running around trying to kill heroes, but you were directly involved with his defeat. Who knows, the League of Villains might be growing because of that incident."
"What do you mean?" He frowned.
"I mean that due to Stain's stunt, it would draw other villains from the shadows. His views and motives were controversial, and those who agree with him might act out in his memory. The League could be taking in those people and using it as a way to grow and become an even bigger threat than they already are. So just. . . Be careful, Shouto."
His frown eased when you called him by his given name, and he nodded his head, smiling gently. "I will. Just as long as you are, too. Don't go out and be reckless."
"Why would I do that?" you said unconvincingly, and he sighed.
"I mean it. Be very careful. Make sure you lock everything, close the curtains and blinds. You can't always be safe in your own home."
You smiled at his caring attitude. "I know. I'll be okay."
"Promise?"
"I can't make a promise I can't keep. You never know what will happen."
"(Y/N)."
"No, seriously."
He huffed gently, stepping forward and embracing you, Now this was something that surprised you. You didn't hesitate to hug back, though, snuggling into his chest.
Not gonna lie, he was showing lovely displays of boyfriend material.
He pulled back just a bit so he could rest his forehead against yours. You heart faltered when he gazed into your eyes, and you said softly, "What?"
You only just caught his glance toward your lips before he leaned forward and kissed you. Your eyes fluttered shut as you fell into the kiss, wrapping your arms around his neck and playing with his soft ass hair. His arms remained locked around your waist as he kissed you a few more times.
On top of the sunset and the nice cool breeze, you were all set for a romance movie.
He pulled away and whispered, "I'm serious. Stay safe. I don't want to lose you."
"Well I've got to stay safe so you can too, right?" You said, and he huffed out a laugh.
He kissed your forehead and let go of you, taking a few steps back toward the direction of his house. "I'll see you at school."
"Yeah, probably."
He jokingly gave you one last warning look toward you before shaking his head and turning around, giving one last wave before leaving.
You chuckled at him, waiting until he turned the corner before walking toward your door. Grabbing out your house keys, you went to stick it into the keyhole. Before it had the chance to properly go in, the door creaked forward. Mental alarms went off in your head when you realised the door was already open.
Quickly forming a steel sword in your hand, you stuck it in front of you as you opened the door fully. Noticing all the lights off, you only had the slowly dimming source of the sun to guide you. Once in the house, you quietly closed the door behind you, cringing when it loudly clicked into place. You noticed the note on the back of the door where your aunty usually left them, saying that she was out at work again.
Gulping, you turned back around, automatically freezing in your spot as you stared at the person standing at the kitchen bench. He wasn't there before.
"Hello, (Y/N)."

The Mischievous Mrs. Maxfield
***The wrong girl is sometimes The Right One.*** Charlotte Samuels thought she'd be stuck waiting tables at Marlow's until all her debts are paid off-in about ten thousand years or so. She definitely didn't expect a marriage proposal from the arrogant Brandon Maxfield who was blackmailed by his father to make her his wife if he didn't want his least favorite cousin to run Maxfield Industries. Charlotte's instinct was to say HELL NO! but she's stumped by a few obstacles: 1.) His old man Martin Maxfield is dear to her heart and has been recently deteriorating in health. 2.) She gets a million dollars if she stays married to Brandon for a year. 3.) She would rather like the opportunity to teach the attractive but awfully rude man a few lessons he didn't think he needed from a 'teenage gold-digger' which was his term of endearment for her on their first date-er, business meeting. So what's a girl got to do, right? Sure, she's young and a little rough around the edges but there's something her would-be husband didn't know about her yet-she's nothing like he ever expected. Thrust into the glitzy world a standard-issue Mrs. Maxfield would fit perfectly and rule with impeccable social grace, Charlotte will either have to force herself into the mold or break free of it, risking what little she has left for everything that she can gain.*** Copyright © 2014 by Nina Tippett.
