"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."

"Oh, look, a potato."
"Kaminari, stop making that joke, it isn't funny!"
"I think it's hilarious."
"We-Well it isn't! She is a really strong fighter, and she passed out from fighting you!"
"I know that. She's really cool. I feel envious of her soulmate."
"What?"
"What?"
"Excuse me?"
"To-Todoroki, you're here! What's up, bro?"
"I've been here the entire time. What was that about being envious of her soulmate?"
"No-Nothing, it was a joke! HahaHAHAHAHA. . ."
". . ."
". . ."
". . . I-I think (Y/N)-chan's waking up."
Midoriya was right. You were waking up. You groaned and sniffed unattractively, and you peeled your eyes open. You were faced with Kaminari and Midoriya at the end of your bed, looking down at you. You turned to the left and saw Todoroki sitting in a seat next to the bed. "'Sup, homies?"
"I'm glad you're awake," Todoroki said. "How are you feeling? How is your foot?"
You frowned at him, "How do you know about my foot?"
"Because I felt it too."
You sat up quickly, looking at him with wide eyes. "You did?! So we feel each other's pain or something? But that doesn't make sense, you got hit a few times before, but I didn't feel anything."
"It might be large amounts of pain," Midoriya said. "It probably isn't as great as the soulmate's, the one who actually gained the injury, but you can still feel some pain in the same area. I mean, your foot did get electrocuted."

"You got electrocuted?" Todoroki asked, sitting up in his seat. "It didn't feel like that. It just felt like I burnt my finger on a stove or something."
You shook your head, "Yeah, no. It hurt like hell." You saw Kaminari's guilty look, and you smiled up at him forgivingly, "Kaminari, it's okay. It was a fight between quirks, so you had to hit me. However, I did this to myself. I mistakenly used the most reactive metal with electricity. So this was completely my fault."
"Does it still hurt?" He asked, and you smiled up at him, shrugging your shoulders.
"It's no biggie now. What did I miss?"
"Well, Iida beat that Hatsume girl, but she did really well with her inventions!" Midoriya exclaimed excitedly. "Mina beat Aoyama, Tokoyami beat Momo, Kirishima and this other guy Tetsutetsu had a draw. Their quirks are so similar, it's amazing! They, uh. . . Both knocked each other out. . ."
He moved to the side and gestured to the two occupied beds on the other side of the room, Kirishima and a guy with messy grey hair knocked out cold. You chuckled and shook your head. You turned your attention back to Midoriya, asking, "Does that mean Uraraka and Bakugou are up next?"
You saw Midoriya tense up, and he slowly nodded, "Ye-Yeah. . . I really hope he doesn't hurt her too much."
"He won't," you reassured. "He won't kill her, but just know that Bakugou will keep it fair. Which I'm pretty sure is something she wants anyway, right?"
Midoriya nodded his head, still looking troubled, "I'm still worried, though."
"You have every right to be," you said. "But she's also an insanely strong girl. She knows how to take care of herself."

"Alright, all of you, out!" Recovery Girl shuffled in, waving her walking stick at all the boys. "I need to check up on her."
"We'll see you down at the arena, (Y/N)-chan!" Midoriya said, rushing out of the room.
"See ya, potato." Kaminari said, cheekily saluting you before quickly following Midoriya.
"The fUCK DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!" You shouted after him, receiving a large bonk on the head from Recovery Girl's stick afterward.
"Watch that mouth, girl!
You groaned, rubbing your head before mumbling an apology. She checked your foot and asked if you were still dizzy, to which you replied with a 'no'. She nodded her head before saying, "Okay, good. Your foot is all healed up, however there is a little bit of scarring there. You're lucky you got off that copper podium. You would have caused serious damage to your heart, or even died. What were you THINKING?!"
She hit your head again, and you winced. "OW! I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking straight!" (Mood.)
She just shook her head, pointing a finger at your sternly, "Be careful. I don't need a dead body being reeled in, and I'm sure Todoroki doesn't need that either."
"That would be preferable." You weren't sure if he was making a joke or not.
"Okay, off you go." You thanked her, and Todoroki kindly lent you a hand like the gentleman he was. You both walked out, you giving Recovery Girl one more thanks before you ran to the arena, causing Todoroki to try and catch up, surprised at your sudden burst of energy.
"Todoroki, quick! We need to see best boi and best girl battle!"
"Hu-Huh?"

The Simulacrum
"He who fights with harem tropes should see to it that he himself does not become a harem protagonist. And if you gaze for long into a narrative, the narrative gazes also into you." --- Friedrich Nietzsche (probably?) How would you react if one day you woke up inside an environment running on tropes and clichés? For allegedly average high-schooler Leonard Dunning, this question became quite relevant when one day he woke up in a pristine city on a strange island in the middle of the Atlantic, without any memories, surrounded by classmates who are barely more than characterless placeholders, and with a classic indecisive harem protagonist and his impossibly beautiful love interests for friends. That would be hard to deal with already, yet his investigation into the tropes governing the world, trying to avoid harem shenanigans, and his odd blend of outside-context knowledge, unique abilities, and a penchant for causing trouble wherever he goes ends up dragging him into the center of the action anyway. Disclaimer: This is a tongue-in-cheek, slice of life romantic comedy, with occasional sprinkles of combat and mystery to spice things up. Please do not expect a straight up deconstruction beyond some in-universe meta-commentary by the characters.
