"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."
- Julie Dillon

Aizawa was glad. When you two walked into class the next morning chatting civilly to each other, you could feel some of the tension leave his body. He approached you both after class.
"I see you two are talking normally now? I don't have to handcuff you to keep you guys together." He said, and you laughed nervously before nodding your head.
"Yeah. We did a bit of talking. You were right."
"You bet your ass I was."
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Your first few subjects were pretty chill. You guys did proper theory work in English, and (much to Midnight's dismay) in MHAH, as well. For some reason, though, the asshole school had set 1-A's timetable to end the day with PE. You weren't so sure about anyone else, but that's not how you wanted to finish off your Thursday.
All Might wanted you guys to train your quirks. It wasn't a very specific task, but you guys understood. However, you didn't want to, because now there was another issue.
Why were you deemed a legend if your quirk was what it was?
Yes, you were able to create any sort of metal from your hands, but you weren't able to create much of it. The biggest thing you had created before was a sword, which ended up being a waste of time seeming as you never ended up using it. You always found magnetic metal much easier to use because it was actually effective and did something.
Or, at least, from what you knew of.
Different people in the class were finding their own spots around the field. Some were on the running track, some were on the grass, and some were already way out in the distance. A lot of people on the track were just in the centre of it, staying out of the way of Iida.

You spotted Midoriya throwing a ball with his hand, activating his quirk right as he launched it. Bakugou was on the other side of the field, using his quirk to see how far he could launch himself into the air. You noticed Uraraka trying to remain in the air as much as possible without puking, and Asui was underneath her making sure she didn't fall suddenly and break her neck, occasionally jumping up as high as she could to also get her own training in.
You kept looking around, trying to find your soulmate. For some reason, you couldn't spot his red and white hair.
"(L/N)-san." You jumped and spun around in fright, fists up and ready to beat whoever was about to attack you. Seeing that it was only Todoroki, you sighed in relief, trying to calm your heart as you approached him.
"You scared the hell out of me." You breathed out, and he smiled gently at you before apologising.
"Do you know how you're going to train your quirk?" He asked, and you shrugged your shoulders. He nodded his head and said, "What is your quirk?"
You sighed before saying, "I can form any sort of metal from my hands. It's not too great, considering the largest thing I can create is a sword."
He nodded his head slowly, understanding. "Can you form metal that reacts with things?"
"So far I can only do magnetic metal, but that's all I can do, I think."
You were now beginning to feel real bad about your quirk. You had seen Todoroki's quirk and how powerful he was, so with you standing next to him, you were miles away from reaching his level.
Todoroki seemed to notice your look of dejection, and he placed a hand on your shoulder in comfort. "Hey, it isn't that bad of a quirk at all. You just haven't trained it, from the sounds of it. Have you?"
You shook your head, confirming his statement. "No."
"So now we just need to work on that. What better way to start than this lesson, right?"
You looked up at him with uncertainty. "Don't you need to work on your own quirk, Todoroki?"

He shook his head. "I think I can skip a lesson or two."
You also shook your head. "No no no, that's not happening. You go and train your quirk. You're not going to skip out on lessons just to help me. We have teachers here for a reason, hun. I'll be fine."
He froze at what you called him, and not even you seemed to notice it until a few seconds after. "What did you call me?"
You blushed, waving your hands around while stepping back. "UHM, SORRY. FORCE OF HABIT FOR SOME REASON. I'M GONNA GO TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR – I MEAN ALL MIGHT!"
You ran off toward the direction of the teacher, leaving Todoroki as a blushing mess.
You continuously smacked your forehand, mumbling 'stupid' over and over to yourself as you cringed. Why were you like this?
You suddenly bumped into a brick wall. Groaning in pain, you looked up. You hadn't bumped into a wall, you just bumped into All Might. He looked down at you, worried. "Are you alright, Young (L/N)?"
Remembering why you came over in the first place, you nodded your head. "Uh, yeah. I actually wanted to ask about how I should train my quirk. Todoroki wanted to help me, but I thought it would be better to have a teacher help me rather than have him lose his own time to train his quirk."
All Might patted your shoulder, "You're a very considerate child, Young (L/N)."
Your soul almost left your body.
You laughed nervously, rubbing your arm before saying, "Aha, yeah, thanks. Uhm, how should I train my quirk?"
"Well, what is your quirk?" After explaining your quirk to him and your predicament with it, he nodded his head, thinking for a little bit before giving you an answer, "Have you ever tried using metal that hasn't been created by you? Like, metal that already exists?"
You shook your head, "No. I don't think it will work, though. I'm pretty sure I can only create metal."
"Well, you never know until you try." He said, and you looked at him hesitantly.
"Okay. . ."
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
All Might had given you a perforated metal sheet, wanting to give you something easy to practice with first. You were very hesitant when you saw him bring it out, but he just handed it to you and told you to focus on bending it. You were certain he was crazy, but it was better than having Todoroki not able to focus on his own development.
You were now sitting on the ground in front of the sheet, legs crossed and staring intensely at it. Midoriya tried coming up to talk to you, but he saw how focused you were and decided to leave.
You also looked like you were going to kill that metal sheet, so he wanted to escape as soon as possible.
You sighed in frustration as the sheet wasn't doing anything you wanted it to. Rubbing your face and stretching out your arms to relieve your muscles, you shook out hands and placed your hands on it. Maybe direct contact would help it move.
Focusing all of your energy into it, you breathed out slowly.
'Just bend for me. Right in the middle.'
A few seconds past, and you were almost convinced it wasn't going to do anything. However, you pushed all of that doubt away from your mind. And as soon as you did, the sheet quickly bent in half with a loud groan, so quickly that it made you jump in surprise.
Staring at it, your eyes were wide in shock. "Oh my god," you breathed out, "it fucking worked."
You looked up and searched around for All Might, finally making eye contact with him from across the field. You smiled and pointed excitedly at the sheet, and he smiled proudly at you, pumping his fist in the air. And, from the distance, as loud as he could, he shouted, "PLUS ULTRA!"
And with a sudden burst of confidence in yourself and your quirk, you gleefully screamed back, "PLUS ULTRA!"
