Chapter 1310: 1310
Chapter 1310 Sorry
“I’m Li Guangsheng.”
Under pressure from Fang Qiu, the man confessed with a bitter expression. “The truth is that I was just an intermediary in this matter.”
“In the past, I engaged in all sorts of speculative transactions. It was a quick and easy way to make money. As I accomplished lots of similar tasks and became more experienced, I gradually gained a favorable reputation.”
“At the start of this matter, someone came to me and hoped I could help him.”
“I’m in this industry, so I know well how to handle this properly. To avoid being associated with this dealing I didn’t transfer the operating expenses to my account or my relatives’ accounts. Instead, I used a friend’s account.”
With this, Li Guangsheng shook his head gravely and said, “His business is also in traditional Chinese medicine. We don’t contact each other frequently, but we’re a tight group. Whenever the money was deposited into his account, he would withdraw the money and give the cash to me. Besides, we don’t use our private phone numbers to stay in touch. In this way, it would be challenging to track us down.”
Li Guangsheng finished speaking.
Fang Qiu frowned.
In this case, the other party must have deliberately planned all of this!
Otherwise, they wouldn’t get mixed up with a professional speculator and transfer the money in such a sophisticated way.
If what Li Guangsheng said was true, the people behind the scenes must have targeted him early. The whole plan, both deliberate and malicious, should have been made long ago.
But…
“Why would the person behind this take the trouble to scheme against me?”
Fang Qiu still couldn’t figure it out.
Three Billion Foundation was purely a charitable foundation.
“What benefits are to be gained from damaging a charity fund?”
The more Fang Qiu thought about it, the more confused he became.
“As you said, you’re an intermediary. You could pay those doctors selling fake drugs the same way, but why didn’t you do that? Isn’t that a better way to ensure your safety?”
Fang Qiu asked.
“I wanted to, but it didn’t work out!”
Li Guangsheng, smiled helplessly and bitterly, continued, “When the idea crossed my mind, I put it into practice. But not everyone has such a trustworthy friend. I once tried this method with a doctor. As a result, his friend refused to give the money to him. What could we do about it? It was ill-gotten money. When the doctor asked for the money, his friend didn’t admit it was his. We went further and threatened him with a lawsuit. However, his friend would rather fight at the risk of mutual destruction than return the money.”
“Thus, this mode of payment would never work.”
At this point…
After a long, weary sigh, Li Guangsheng said helplessly, “If this method had worked, things wouldn’t have turned out like this. At least, with more people involved, there would have been more time for me to escape abroad.”

“In your opinion, if the same method had been applied to those doctors, you wouldn’t have ended up like this.”
Fang Qiu shook his head and said, “Since I got you, I can find all the others too. Do you think you can get away by going abroad?”
“I can assure you, it’s impossible.”
“Now that things have developed to this point, I will go after you even if you flee to the remotest corners of the earth!”
Fang Qiu said with absolute certainty that leaving no room for doubt.
“Perhaps you do have the ability.”
Li Guangsheng shook his head with a smile and said, “I did not quite believe you could nab me after I’ve escaped abroad, but you’ve caught me already. Because of this undeniable truth, I have to admit that you are very capable!”
He was arrested one second before he was about to go abroad. It was enough to show how powerful Fang Qiu was.
From this point…
It was evident that Fang Qiu had managed to work out his whereabouts.
Thus, even if he had gone abroad, Fang Qiu would have continued to track him down. He might have to fly to more places before stealing into another country. Otherwise, he would leave traces no matter how hard he tried.
After all, from ancient times to the present, no one can wrap fire on paper!
“Tell me, who’s the mastermind?”
Fang Qiu asked.
“I told you almost all the Chinese Medicine companies on the market have joined hands, but you just don’t believe me.”
Li Guangsheng shook his head and said, “That’s my answer. Whether you believe me or not, it’s your business. I’m not here to make you believe me.”
“What’s their purpose?”
Fang Qiu asked as he raised his eyebrows.
“I have no idea.”
Li Guangsheng immediately shook his head and said, “Maybe you have something they want.”
Fang Qiu’s frown grew deeper at his words.
He had been in shock since Li Guangsheng started talking.
All the Chinese Medicine companies in the market?
Had all of them joined forces to deal with him?
This was not a small matter!
If it was true, many people must have been involved in this. Even worse, it might have surprising consequences.
Of course…
Li Guangsheng never evaded any subject under their discussion and spoke openly about everything. However, Fang Qiu still didn’t dare to trust him totally.
He still needed to verify everything that Li Guangsheng had revealed!
Without concrete evidence, Fang Qiu wouldn’t take it as the truth of the matter.
At the police station of Blackhill Gate Village…
“Li Guangsheng?”
After a long time, Chief Pan finally found out about Li Guangsheng’s personal information, but according to the report, Li Guangsheng had boarded a flight at noon today to a foreign country. But the flight left long ago.
“I’m still a little late!”
With a sigh, Chief Pan quickly called the police station at Yang Cheng Airport.

“Hello, Yang Cheng Airport. What can I do for you?”
On the other end of the line came a professional voice.
“Hello, I am the head of the police station in Blackhill Gate Village, Pan Mingrui.”
Chief Pan introduced himself.
“Hello, is there anything I can do for you?”
The other party asked politely.
“Here’s the thing.”
Pan Mingrui came right to the point. “I’m investigating the case concerning the Three Billion Foundation and the doctors who sold fake drugs. Please check something for me. Is there a passenger named Li Guangsheng who took the morning flight? Did he fly out of the country already?”
“Please wait for a moment. Let me transfer your call to the police station at our airport.”
“Toot, toot, toot…”
After a series of beeps, the phone was connected again.
Pan Mingrui repeated what he had just said.
After that…
The person who picked up the call began to question him carefully and even asked for his police number.
Three minutes passed. Eventually, the police confirmed Pan Mingrui’s identity.
“Hello, Chief Pan.”
The police officer at the airport police station greeted him after he confirmed his identity. Without any hesitation, he answered, “We detained Li Guangsheng before he boarded his plane!”
“Really?”
Pan Mingrui was overjoyed. Right away, he said in great delight, “That’s great. You’ve done a good job. I’ll come and get him with the necessary documents.”
After that, he hung up the phone.
A few hours later…
As expected, Pan Mingrui appeared with his men.
When Fang Qiu came out of the interrogation room, he happened to hear the news that Pan Mingrui had come to take the suspect away. Instantly, Fang Qiu handed Li Guangsheng over to Pan Mingrui and turned to leave.
Pan Mingrui was considerably shocked when he saw Fang Qiu at the airport police station.
Later, he learned from others that the higher-ups ordered them to intercept Li Guangsheng and let Fang Qiu interrogate him.
Obviously…
Fang Qiu had connections with the leaders!
At the thought of this…
Pan Mingrui couldn’t help but be shocked. At the same time, he felt very grateful to Fang Qiu.
When Fang Qiu turned Li Guangsheng over to him, he even gave him all the credit.
After all, Fang Qiu was not a law enforcement officer.
Outside the airport…
Fang Qiu left the police station.
He went straight to the house of Li Guangsheng’s friend.
During the interrogation…
Fang Qiu learned that Li Guangsheng’s friend, Chen Peilun, owned a Chinese Medicine store. He lived in Yang Cheng.
With the information from Li Guangsheng…
Fang Qiu came to the door of a house in front of the wholesale market that sold Chinese medicinal herbs in Yang Cheng.
“Knock, knock, knock…”
Someone opened the door.
A man in his thirties appeared before Fang Qiu.
He was Chen Peilun.
“Please come in.”
When he saw Fang Qiu, Chen Peilun stretched out his hand and spoke.
“You must be Chen Peilun, right?”
Fang Qiu asked as he walked in.
“Yes.”
Chen Peilun nodded with a smile and took Fang Qiu to the living room. When Fang Qiu sat down, he took out a bank card from the drawer of the tea table in the living room. He handed it to Fang Qiu and said, “When I saw the news, I knew someone would come sooner or later. That was why I hadn’t been to the drugstore recently. I’ve been waiting at home. When you finally came, I feel that I’d been relieved of a great burden.”
“Go and turn yourself in.”
Fang Qiu took the bank card from Chen Peilun and said to him.
“Okay.”
Chen Peilun nodded and said, “Don’t worry. I’ve settled everything in the past few days while waiting for someone to come. But I didn’t expect you to come in person.”
“I am going to surrender myself to the police now.”
After that…
Chen Peilun rose to his feet and walked out of the room with Fang Qiu.
“There are all kinds of accounts in this bank card. On the overt side, I recorded the payments for medicinal herbs, but no real deal happened. That would make it easier for the investigation.”
Chen Peilun said.
“Mm.”
Fang Qiu nodded understandingly.
Along the way, they chatted.
They kept on talking until they arrived at the police station’s gate.
“Do you think it’s worth it?”
Standing before the police station, Fang Qiu asked, “For your friend?”
“Actually, I can be considered his only friend.”
Chen Peilun allowed himself a wry smile. “He suffered a great deal in his childhood, so I just wanted to help him, but much to my surprise, this matter became so sensational.”
“But…”
“As his friend, I was involved in this matter and was aware of the crime in advance. I am willing to be held responsible for this matter!”
At this point…
Fang Qiu sighed softly and nodded.
Then he repeated the bank card number and kept it firmly in mind. After he handed the card back to Chen Peilun, he said, “Go ahead.”
“Um.”
Chen Peilun accepted the bank card, turned around, and walked into the police station. Before he entered the door, he paused, turned to Fang Qiu, and spoke.
“I’m sorry, but I have never sold inferior traditional Chinese medicine.”
Afterward, he went in.
As Chen Peilun walked into the police station, Fang Qiu looked at his back. All sorts of feelings welled up in his heart.
He felt like saying something but didn’t know what to say.
He could only helplessly watch as Chen Peilun entered the police station.
