Chapter 454
Hokey Pokey
Unique Floor Boss
Lvl 75
HP- 22222
MP- 33333
ATK- 1666
DEF- 1666
Unique Passives:
Possessed Object- Hokey Pokey is locked within the confines of its possessed object. This possessed object has a 25% chance to dodge incoming damage.
Demonic Fortitude- Hokey Pokey cannot be damaged by nonmagical means.
Aura of Command- Hokey Pokey can empower and control all demonic mobs within 50 yards +1yard per lvl. Empowered mobs gain +25% to all their stats.
Infernal Tethers- Hokey Pokey cannot move until it is freed from its place of bondage, or until it takes damage. Only boss tiered monsters, or adventurers, can remove Hokey Pokey from its place of bondage.
Ancient Soul- Hokey Pokey can serve as a temporary conduit between its wielder, and the infernal powers sealed within. If a boss tiered monster wields Hokey Pokey, it will temporarily become a shade of the Ancient being, Olmac Don’ald, stored within. If an adventurer attempts to wield Hokey Pokey…
Unsealed Destruction- Once Hokey Pokey is removed from its infernal tethers, it will not rest until every adventurer is destroyed, or the object it is possessing is temporarily destroyed, sending the object, and Hokey Pokey, back to realm of Demons.
James re-read the description before him, as he looked down at the floor. Rue, at his side, was giggling uncontrollable, while singing some nonsensical song. He shot her a glare.
“What the actual fuck is this thing?” He motioned below. There, stabbed into a massive pile of hay, like some sort of sword in a stone bullshit, was a slightly glowing pitchfork. Alright, that was a little too basic. The hay was yeah, hay. But the pitchfork was far from ordinary.
Crafted out of what appeared to be a single block of obsidian, the three-pronged weapon had a cascading line of golden runes running all along its shaft, while dark crimson light pulsed from it, like the beat of a heart. As James focused on it, the weapon seemed to release a faint red mist, that swirled into agonized faces, contorted in demonic fashion. At the base of the weapon’s shaft, the butt end of it, glowed an Old Man Jenkins fist sized skull. The eye sockets seemed to blaze with life, and the image was, for lack of a better word, unsettling.

That being said, the listed information on it was less than helpful, and Rue was even less than that. She couldn’t stop laughing.
“It will be fine.” She said, between labored breaths. It was taking all her self-control to not continue laughing. “I’m sure once you see it in action, your opinion will turn right on around.”
“I really don’t think that will happen.” For a level 75 Unique Floor Boss, he’d had high hopes. Something along the lines of Sergeant Jenkins, or Jormun-grander. Maybe even Megalodonie tiered. But this, was underwhelming.
“You just don’t understand it.” Rue said, wheezing. “Once you see it in action, once,” laughter, “Old Man Jenkins shakes it about. You’ll see. You’ll see that’s what it’s all about.”
James groaned. He didn’t want the special boss to rely on Old Man Jenkins. If he’d known that, he would have picked a different floor boss. But Rue had insisted, when she’d seen the option, that he should grab it. Much like World Boss selection, the game wasn’t very helpful with the rolls, and he’d not been given much of a description, until he’d selected the boss. Even less so now, if he was being honest. It was… a possessed pitchfork.
“What can it do on its own?” He pressed, motioning towards it. “Other than empowering mobs around it, what can it actually do against the adventurers?”
Rue shrugged.
“You wanted me to pick this. I trusted you.” James let out an exasperated sigh. “This feels like a bit of a waste.”
“After everything you’ve seen,” she said, looking from James to the pitchfork, “do you really think this will be a letdown? Do you really believe something with a name like that, won’t turn out wonderfully ridiculous?”
“Do you have any information, at least, on the entity stored within? Old MacDonald?” James groaned as he said it aloud. Seriously, the developers had the humor of school children. James should know.
Rue burst into another fit of laughter, as she made a few swipes with her hand. He half expected nothing to happen, but instead, an entry log appeared before him.

Olmac Don’ald
Arch Demon
One of the original six demonic generals, Olmac Don’ald terrified battlefields with his hordes of mutated and modified demonic animals. His preferred method of fighting involved overwhelming his foes with demonic energies, warping and twisting their minds and bodies until they succumbed to his whims. Upon their death, he would create new minions from the fallen before him, creating a menagerie of demonic entities.
Growing fearful of his ever-increasing numbers, as well as his demonic powers, which grew steadily with each slain foe, Olmac Don’ald was bound to his weapon, his corporeal form completely destroyed in the process. As long as his powers remain bound to his weapon, only a fragment of his disastrous magical skills can be unleashed.
While bound, Olmac Don’ald can still utilize various aspects of his demonic destruction magic, as well as his unique demonic infusion skills. If his vessel is wielded by a strong enough demonic entity, Olmac Don’ald can, temporarily, possess the host, and bring his full power to bare. Doing so will not only result in the death of the vessel, but the death of all living things in his vicinity, as he works to amass his army, and gather enough power to once again, permanently, take on physical form.
“See,” she said as James reread the information. “He’s got the ability to utilize his demonic destruction magic, and demonic infusion skills.”
“Yeah, but what are those?” James pressed. Normally, such things would be mentioned in the boss’s information.
“Uh,” she waved her hand, and a book appeared in front of James. “Pretty much whatever he feels like pulling from, from that book.” She said. “The thing with creatures of that power, is it’s easier to just not list any of their skills, than to try and encompass all they can do. With DCO, it seems for their higher tiered, late game monsters, the skills and abilities get a bit too expansive. So, they just code everything in for the AI, and it’s up to the players to learn, time and time again, what the bosses can do. Helps with keeping everything feeling fresh and new, I guess.”
James eyed his companion and dismissed the book. While he may be curious about what that blasted pitchfork could do, nonetheless the fact that the Arch Demon’s weapon was a pitchfork, he had other things that needed his focus. Mainly, loot for the first floor, and the siege events. Then, and only then, could he step foot back into DCO, not as Glyax the Dungeon Core, not as The Mad Mage either, but as Nyx, level 44 Grand Djinn Tamer.
“You handle the loot,” James said, closing his menus as he set to work establishing the floor. “I’ll finish assigning mobs their spawn locations and get to work on the siege event.” He’d already unsummoned Hokey Pokey, and resummoned the hay mound the object was embedded in near the big red barn. Now, it was just a matter of how best to utilize the 500 mob points for the floor. Being an Augmented floor, it seemed he got not only higher leveled mobs, but more of them. The first floor had originally started with 100 mob points and topped out at 200. This augmented floor had more than doubled his allotment, and he was excited for the chaos that would cause.
“With pleasure,” Rue licked her lips, her eyes turning to focus on the loot screens for the floor. He’d look over what new and improved items there were during his next bit of downtime. All that mattered now, was hurrying these tasks up, so he could see them live, in person. Without any warning, he teleported himself to his fourth floor, and pulled up the menu. It was time, for Siege Events.

Re:Mento Mori
When Ryuji, a disgruntled salaryman, is supposed to reach an unfortunate end, he is instead thrust into a new world, inhabiting a body that isn't his own. Forced into a world filled with strife and death, can he claim freedom and happiness? Or will his turbulent new life only lead to suffering and pain? As with every time-loop story written by an amateur author, this is heavily inspired by Re:Zero. If I had to explain my book, I would say imagine Re:Zero, but the main character can actually fight people instead of just getting merked every time he meets someone with a weapon. The themes of this story are dark, so be forewarned. This is my first story so keep that in mind while reading it.
