《Out-Flirt Me - Anakin x Reader》Chapter 42- Wakey Wakey

~Obi-Wan's POV~
As Jedi, we aren't supposed to have attachments. And I've always been one to follow the rules. But that didn't stop me from caring about the young woman in a coma. She's like a daughter to me. I truly care about her, and Anakin, and Ashoka, and Auren. Even though I'm not supposed to.
I hadn't slept, I hadn't sat, I have just been standing for longer than I care to keep track of. Kix told me to get some sleep, I nodded, he knew I wouldn't. But I'm proud of Anakin. If the same thing had happened a few weeks ago, he wouldn't have left this room. Much like I am right now. I'm proud of him for taking care of the girls. When I know he wants to be here, comforting her.
That's probably why I haven't left, someone's gotta be here when she wakes up. But that will be a while. Only the droids work on her now. They take blood and put it in machines. They wrap her abdomen in gauze, as well as a few other scrapes. Kix comes by to check on her often. He definitely knows that her and Anakin are more than friends. Sometimes I hear the clones refer to her as 'The Generals Lady'. It's sweet.
Now it's night, and I can't hold myself up any longer. I sit down in a chair across from her window. And I sleep.
~24 hours later~
I open my eyes to the same window. The same girl and droids behind it. But a different man standing in front of it. Anakin is watching in with his arms crossed. He's slouching down, his hairs a mess, and his clothes are wrinkled. It's dark in the hallway, like when I went to sleep.
"So you're finally awake." He turned around and smirks at me. "You've been out for a while, Kix had to make sure you weren't dead."
"How long?"
"A day. She hasn't woken up, the girls are fine. They're getting better actually."
"Good." I stood up and walked toward the window.
"You know, you don't have to stay here. We can switch out."
He smiled and I turned to him, "When did you become so wise?" He chuckled.
"Master, trust me, I know how it feels to be waiting here for a long time. It takes a toll on you. And I bet the girls would love to hang out with you."
"I would like to see them as well."
"Well, they saw you this morning," He continued as we walked, "but you were asleep."
I chuckled quickly, "Seems there was quite the show this morning."
"Oh yeah, we brought everyone in. The whole 501st was here. Rex recorded it, we all took photos with you. He can show you the video if you'd like. Although, I am surprised your hair isn't still in that mohawk." I scoffed.
"I take back what I said about you being wise."
He faked offense, "Jeez, Obi-Wan. Maybe you need to sleep a little longer."

Shaking my head, Anakin opened the door to Y/n's room aboard the ship. It smelled like fresh vanilla and the girls sat on the floor playing a game. There was a little board with brown and white pieces in fun shapes. All relatively the same height, except for the ones in the front, and all on squares. They smiled as Auren moved a horse-shaped white piece.
"Hey girls, where'd you find that?" Anakin asked as he sat on the bed.
Ashoka took her turn with her hand on her chin. "Bottom of the closet."
He nodded and patted the seat next to him. I came, sat down, and Auren turned toward me.
"Hey Master, get some good sleep?" She had a lopsided grin that reminded me much of Anakin's.
In the background, one of her pieces moved while Ashoka's hand floated over the board.
"Oh yes, I did."
She smiled and turned back to the game. "Hey, my pawn wasn't there a minute ago."
Ashoka tried to keep a straight face but couldn't. She ended up falling backwards in laughter as Auren scoffed and scrunched her nose. Just watching them, I could see the clear resemblance to their masters. How Ashoka's laugh reminded me of Y/n's. The same with Aurens head shake. But Ashoka using the force to cheat had a clear resemblance to Anakin.
Auren threw her pawns at Ashoka as she laughed harder. And Anakin and I let them. They're children who rarely get to act like them. It pains me to see their childhood taken away by war and stress. Even Anakin and Y/n got to be children for a little longer. Even though Anakin was closely watched and never seemed to have a choice in anything. He always relished Y/n's power to be free, but she never seemed to be free enough. She was often thrown in with Anakin and I, until Anakin was 15. Anakin and I weren't on Coruscant very often after that. But when we were he always seemed upset.
I looked over to him and he was smiling at the girls. Yet I could feel his pain. It was an odd feeling. There was the emotional aspect of Y/n being in the hospital. But he also seemed physically pained. Especially around his stomach. As if he was sharing Y/n's pain. I had only heard of such things once before. A force bond. Two strong force wielders whom are very close. They obviously fit that category. To have one, you would have to know the other since a young age. When your mind is more vulnerable and they don't have very much control if the force. It could flow between two people and grow as they grew. But if it broke, it would cause pain to the both of them.
Anakin smiled over at me as the girls settled down. "You alright, Master?"
"Yes, just deep in thought."
He nodded and looked forward again. The girls were playing their game again and I found myself invested in the strategy.

I had woken up on the floor with my head on a blanket. Anakin was on the floor as well, but the girls were on the bed. They were all sound asleep and the girls looked, for the most part, peaceful. But Anakin looked troubled, as he always is in his sleep. I always felt sorry for him, his sleep plagued with nightmares. But since I was the first to wake up, I decided to bring them breakfast.
Now in the mess hall, I realized how long we'd been away from Coruscant. There wasn't much food out and we probably didn't have much left. But we should be on our way home. I grabbed a ration bar for everyone and brought them back to the room.
They're all still asleep. But I could sense Anakin coming to conciseness. I set the food tray on the ground it front of Anakin and I. There was no pieces of the game left on the floor since they had all been picked up by the girls. But the room was still a mess with Y/n's belongings everywhere.
I leaned to my left and picked up a book that had been partially shoved under the bed. 'The Story of a Lost Jedi' was written in small print on the front. It was the only identifying feature of the small dark brown book. I had never heard of the book before but it's not like there were many books on the Jedi. Unless you were a Jedi, most people didn't know much about us. I opened it to the a page tilted 'Chapter One' and as I read through the first sentences, I realized why Y/n owned it.
The story, from what I could tell, was of a young girl. Who was in training to be a Jedi knight. And she had opinions that she wasn't allowed to express. Yes, I did agree with the Jedi Code on most things. But this girl had a point on some things.
"Hey there, Master," Anakin muttered in a very sleepy voice.
I chuckled, "Hello there, Anakin."
He grabbed a ration bar off the tray and started to eat while zoned out. I grabbed a box and placed the book in it. Along with a few other small items nearby. Y/n seemed to own more than most Jedi. Which made sense to me. We aren't supposed to have possessions and that's a rule. So, it's obvious that she would break it.
After a few minutes of Anakin eating and me cleaning up. The girls had awoken and started to eat as well. I had taken a ration bar and sat down next to Anakin again. But just as I sat down, someone knocked on the door. I went to get up and get the door, but Ashoka just leaned backward and threw something at the button with the force.
Rex stood in the doorway with his helmet in hand. He raised an eyebrow at Auren who was laying on the ground by the door.
"Hi, Captain."
"Hey, Commander." He turned his focus toward Anakin and I. "We're approaching Coruscant and Kix wants to talk to you."
At those last six words, everyone in the room shot up. Rex wasn't even taken back on bit, he knew how much Y/n meant to everyone. He nodded and stepped out of the doorway.
We all cleared the room quickly and made our way to the med wing. As soon as we got there, Anakin sprinted ahead of me before I could see Y/n.
"Anakin!" I yelled.
"Y/n!"
I couldn't see anything but the girls could and they ran forward with him.
"What is going-"
I froze when I saw her, stumbling foreword and punching a droid into the wall. I chuckled but it was weak with the tears streaming down my face. She tripped backwards and fell back onto the bed. Doctors rushed toward her trying to get her to lay down but she kept on pushing away their hands. I wanted to scream at her to lay back down, but also hug her back into a coma.
Anakin had broken into the room and was holding her. I was almost in the room as well. They were so close, holding each other so tightly, yet they tried to get closer. Their sobs filled the room but also laughs and small words muttered. She shouldn't be awake, not yet, but here she was.
Ashoka and Auren were at their sides holding on as Y/n and Anakin wrapped their arms around them. I stood and watched, letting them have their moment. After a few minutes, Y/n turned to the two girls. And I could finally see her face. She was paler but she was still smiling. Her hands were on the girls faces holding them close to her as she muttered,
"I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry."
Auren brushed the tears from her cheeks and whispered, "Stop it, I'm just glad you're here."
Y/n's smile grew and she pulled them in for another hug as Anakin wrapped his arms around them all. They looked like a family, safe and happy. They had all been through so much and it pained me to think about. Anakin and Y/n obviously loved each other and they had both fought to be together.
It reminded me of something Qui-Gon had said to me when I was young. "There is nothing more valuable than a friend. More than food, more than shelter, and more than weaponry, an ally can save your life." Here, Y/n and Anakin were more than friends, more than allies. They were family. As I had felt like a son to Qui-Gin, Auren and Ashoka felt as kids to Y/n and Anakin. Although their real stop ship was mixed with a sibling bond.
I could almost feel Qui-Gon pushing me toward them. His hand on my back, I joined the hug and Y/n smiled up at me. Right before her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she fell limp.
