《Crazier Then You (Twilight // Crazy Jane)》Chapter 33

Jane was spending the night before her wedding at the Cullens and she felt absolutely unsettled. She lay in a queen sized bed in a quest room staring at the ceiling trying to register she was getting married in less then 24 hours. She kept tossing and turning trying every thing to sleep but she couldn't.
"Your constant thrashing is making it hard to focus on my reality tv show." Rosalie says from the door way making Jane jump away and sigh.
"I can't fucking sleep. I mean- how can I? I'm getting married tomorrow.... I'm gonna make a fucking idiot of myself." Jane sighs running her hands aggressively through her hair.
Rosalie laughs an angelic noise making Janes eyes narrow at her with hostility.
"You'll be fine. Trust me if something detrimental were truly happening Alice would be in here right now warning you. Although.... If you stay up any longer she might come do that anyway." Hearing her adoptive sister getting antsy in the living room as Jane flopped dramatically on the bed.
"......are you trying comfort me or make me more nervous?" Jane asks making Rosalie scoff and shake her head but she wore a smile.
"I simply was checking on you. There's no need to be worried Jane. That mut- Paul. He really loves you. And even if you did make a complete and utter fool of yourself you know he wouldn't be any less happy. He'd probably do something to one up you- or threaten the crowd." Rosalie caught herself calling Paul a mutt but the rest of her words make Jane ease into the mattress.
The she vamp was right.
"Yeah I guess your right..... don't let that go to your dumb blonde head." Jane spat making the vampire once again laugh but her eyes were a bit colder about it.
"Goodnight Jane." Rosalie says before closing the door and leaving making Jane mutter a bitter goodnight. Her eyes close and she finally is able to sleep, but it was all nightmares of her missing the wedding and over sleeping. Or her having to make a speech and paint her teeth.
When Jane woke up in the morning due to the sunlight she felt herself sighing and rubbing her eyes that still had the usual dark circles.
"Geez you look terrible." Alice says with a straight face making Janes nose scrunch and for her to give Alice a once over. "So do you- corpse ass bit-" Jane goes to sneer but Alice waved a hand.
They didn't have time for this.
"Come on let's get you in the shower so we can blow dry and style your hair." Alice instructs making Jane huff still exhausted but follow the vampires words. She didn't want to look a mess or smell bad on her wedding day.
When Jane stepped out the room she had just slept in looked completely different as her dress hanged on the door and a makeup station was set up neatly.
"Don't cake me on too much I don't want it to look like a stripper." Jane says wearily as Alice scolds her and begins doing more makeup then Jane had ever worn. It definitely felt caked on making Jane groan but stop seeing the death glare Alice shot her.
Once her make up was done Jane looked at her reflection and gasped.
She'd never looked so beautiful in all her life.
"See you don't look like a stripper. Put your trust in me and everything will go perfectly fine." Alice says with a big smile as she begins straightening Janes usually curly hair.

"Woah- you look great." Bella says awkwardly as she walks into see her cousin.
Charlie could be heard conversing with someone as he enters the room but stops speaking entirely. He takes in Janes appearance and sniffles as he nods trying to hide the tears in his eyes.
"You look- you look good kid." Charlie finally says making Jane smile so big it looked like it had to hurt.
Jane was effortlessly beautiful when she relaxed.
"Thanks.... Dad." Jane says the slightly foreign word only ruining Charlie's composure more as he begins wiping his eyes and sniffling more.
"I gotta use- i gotta use the restroom." He says being guided by Bella out of the room. Jane feels her heart racing as the more time passed the closer her wedding was. She could faintly see guests down through the window but no one could see her as they didn't know of her presence. Alice even shut the blinds so no one got a sneak peek at the bride.
"And now your hair is done." Alice smiles boisterously and shows Jane the mirror. Janes breath catches in her throat because she looks so good but.... Her appearance remained her and the others of Miranda.
If she hadn't offed herself in the well it could have possibly been her getting ready that day for Paul. Having her hair curled instead of straitened, and would probably be someone's dream wife.
She would cook and clean and be completely willing to be kind and loving the entire time. Jane it was like fighting tooth and nail for even a compliment.
"Jane? Come on we gotta get you in the dress." Alice say's impatiently as Jane blinks coming back from her thought.
"Y-yeah okay." Jane says before trying on the dress and looking how well it suited her frame.
"The girls are here finally ready. They wouldn't let Rosalie help." Alice grumbles opening the fort to an annoyed eavesdropping Leah and an ecstatic Emily.
"OH MY GOSH HOENY YOU LOOK GREAT!" Emily squealed while hugging the girl making Alice's eye twitch at the hair and makeup. Leah smiled and it looked genuine as she gave Jane a once over and an approving nod.
"He's gonna cry." Leah snickers at the thought even more excited for the wedding now then before.
"He's gonna blubber like a big baby." Emily agrees looking at Jane in the mirror as the girl blushed and looked sheepish. She did look good but she didn't think she looked that good.
"Are the guys here yet?" Jane asks as she slips on the shoes to do a practice walk one last time around the room.
"Oh yeah all those idiots are trying not to cry and prefect their speeches." Lean snickers at their expense making Jane join along.
"Especially my Seth. He's already cried today." Emily joins in laughing as Jane could picture it. The boy was young and very bad at masking his true emotions. Jane found him endearing and innocent. He saved her on that mountain. Seth was a good one.
"Emmett had to remove Paul's dad." Emily says with a bit more of a slight edge making Janes smile twitch. She could imagine the drunk man yelling and saying heinous things like he did at her house.
"Any ideas where the honey moon is yet?" Emily asks with a smile as Jane shakes her head. "Just know I had to pack for a tropical time so maybe Florida or something." The girl shrugs with uncertainty but Alice and a way better destination then just Florida.

It was completely out of the states even.
"Trust me you'll love it." Alice says with a knowing glint in her eye and smirk. Jane knew she'd like anything it didn't even have to be anything fancy. As long as Paul was there to ease her nerves she'd be fine.
"It's show time." Alice says making the girl begin to guide Jane down the stairs as she nearly tumbled down them. The guys waited in a lobby for their bridesmaids they were meant to guide. They didn't see Jane as it was still to be a surprise.
Charlie stood with Jane in the living room making her breath heavy as her eyes peaked at the small group of guests.
"We could just leave. Go get pancakes at the diner instead." Charlie jokes making Jane smile shakily and force baby doll away form the surface.
".....if I fall and make a fool of myself we should definitely do that. Like- run away and never look back." Jane says in a panic but Charlie shakes his head. "I'm not gonna let you fall." He loops their arms together weakling at first not wanting to touch Jane more then she was comfortable with. But Jane grabbed him and pulled him closer her nails digging into the arms of his suit.
"Thank you. For doing this for me." Jane smiles softly making Charlie nod and fight those tears once again.
"It's an honor kid." He mutters when the music starts making Jane sigh and take deep breath to not faint.
When they heard their cue Jane squeezed her eyes shut but began moving to the beat and rhythm like Alice taught her many times.
At first it wasn't so bad because the hedges covered view of the audience still but the second they rounded them Janes mouth went dry.
A few of her distant relatives were there, her friend group from Forks including Mike Newton. Be gawked at Jane as she walked down the aisle staring at the one thing besides Charlie that kept her sane.
Jasper was definitely influencing her to stay calm too which helped.
Jane stared Paul down taking in his expression as he watched her walking towards him. He looked stunned before he pursed his lips with slightly teary eyes. The pack however.... Most of them were loudly sobbing earning Leah to snicker at them. Paul kept it together until Charlie was gave Jane away to him.
Paul's back was to the audience but he continued to glance at Jane who's till stared him down. She didn't want to move her eyes away form him. He looked so handsome and suave in his suit it made her heart hammer against her ribs.
Jane didn't even realize she was crying until she looked down at the ring Paul slowly slid on her finger. Her tears dropped onto her hand making her smile softly as she looked up to Paul who wore a matching expression.
"The vows?" The pastor asks and the two nod having written their own.
"Jane Challis Swan, I promise to love and honor you for as long as you let me. I promise to never go a day without telling you just how amazing you are to me. Or how much you mean to me. I will love you forever. And I will break anyone's legs that try to ruin that." Paul said the last part with some aggression towards Mike Newton despite him being sat more toward the back making Jane want to snicker as Mike looked ready to wet himself. "I love you. Every single part of you. I always thought love at first sight was complete crap and untrue. But when I looked in your eyes that day in the woods I felt my whole world shift around you. You've changed me into a better man, and I am forever grateful for that" He says talking about her 64+ disruptive personalities making Jane want to swoon along with Karen and Scarlet.
"Jane?" The pastor asks and Jane nods trying to keep her voice clear and strong. She didn't want to appear weak in front of these people but- she wasn't looking at them she was looking at Paul.
"Paul Lahote.... I am forever grateful for you. You showed me that not all men are total and utter d bags..... just most of them." Jane says dead serious making some in the audience laugh, they didn't really expect Jane to be that mushy anyway. Paul looked emotional at the first half before laughing himself at the second but he still slightly sniffled at that as well.
"You taught me what it's like to be loved, how to live and feel safe. Your probably the only person crazier then me in this entire world.... Because you love crazy me.... Which is definitely hard to do sometimes but you make it seem effortless. You've never made me feel like a nuisance due to my illness like many others have. And- your always more then willing to start and finish a fight for me. You've been patient with me since the moment we meant.... Because you knew we were meant to be. I love you, and there will never be a day that I don't." Jane says In a strong voice despite her glazed over eyes as Paul smiles bashfully.
As the pastor continues his speech Jane kept staring at Paul uneasily, she hated PDA. He knew that.
So when the pastor said it was time for the kiss Paul pulled her in lightly and gave her a gentle peck.
"I'll give you the real thing later when we're alone." He whispers making Jane smile and blush.
As the pair walk down the aisle everyone stood and cheered even a bitter Jessica who stared at Paul like a snack most of the wedding. Jane bit her tongue and clung to the boy to run it in the big nosed girls face.
The two were currently sharing a slow dance making Jane pant with anxiety again. "You look absolutely beautiful." Paul mutters in her ear lowly making Jane smile and climb to him tighter.
"You look very handsome." Jane says back making him smirk and about to say something cocky when Jane covers his mouth with her hand. "Don't make me regret complimenting you." Jane says with a laugh as he rolls his eyes but his mouth is still covered.
They looked like two fools in love in everyone's eyes.
"Jane may I have this next dance?" Charlie asks when the couples dance ends and Jane nods and allows his hands on her waist but she still remained stiff. But it was still pleasant to dance with him.
"Your all grown up now..... your mom would be so proud of you." Charlie mutters speaking of his late sister making Jane pull him closer.
"She would be really grateful to you Charlie. Most people would have ran the other way at raising someone.... Like me. You took it on like it was nothing. I appreciate everything you've done for me, your the dad I always wanted. So thank you" The girl mutters lowly as Charlie lets out a slow shaky sigh.
Jane kept making him cry that day, he could only imagine he'd be worse on Bella's day. Because he'd have an empty nest. And he would once again be lonely.
"You don't have to thank me." He says gruffly but Jane shakes her head and looks up at him with pleading eyes. "I do. I do have to thank you. Just like Paul you were patient with me, and I'm sure there were times I didn't make it easy on you. Especially hammerhead.... Constantly threatening to kill you. You helped us out a lot. You've done more for us then.... He ever did." Jane explains making the older man finally let the tears drop freely.
Jane couldn't help but smile at it thinking how she was making everyone cry with her words. She didn't express her gratitude much but when she did it seemed to always have the same reactions from different people.
As the song ended Jane felt a tap on her shoulder probably for another dance but stopped and looked annoyed at Mike Newton.
"I'm not dancing with you." Jane spat as he shook his head and looked anxiously around for Paul. He didn't want him breaking his legs like he threatened.
"I just- I just wanted to say I was sorry. I'm sorry about what happened to the movies. I just- action movies make me sick and I was trying to calm myself down from puking and tried to distract myself but- I shouldn't have done what I did. That's the point. I'm very sorry Jane, and that uh- that Paul guy he's really lucky." Mike says in a ramble as Jane stares at him wearily.
She didn't trust Mike more then she as Jane could throw him. Who he want far.
"What'd I tell you Newton?" Paul seethed making Mike scurry away as Jane grabs Paula arm to keep him from chasing the human boy down.
"He was apologizing. For the movie theater." Jane tells the wolf only making his shaking stop a little.
"He could have done that sooner, why today of all days." Paul lowly mutters bitterly as Jane smiles and hugs him him close to her.
"Because he's a dumb ass." Jane says like it's common sense making Paul nod vigorously in agreement.
"Let's cut the cake." Paul smirks making Jane follow him suspiciously as they had a crowd around them. They had to feed each other the cake making Jane eye Paul to make sure he wasn't about to shove it in her face.
He would never.
As the two bit into it Jane couldn't fight the personality's anymore as Baby doll came forward and began stuffing face with cake excitedly. Paul just laughed and wiped her mouth until she was finished.
By the then Jane was back with tummy ache.
"God your gonna have to cut me out if this things later." Jane grumbles as it tightly snugs into her stomach due to all the food.
Paul smirks at this making Jane think back her words before pushing him gently with a breathy laugh.
"Your a pervert." She smiled making him smile and wrap his arms around her pulling her closer to him.
"You love it." He says making her sigh and have to agree because she did. Like she said she'd love him forever.
"Is it okay if I steal the bride now?" Edward asks with amusement as Paul growls lowly in warning.
The entire time Jane danced with Edward she could feel both Paul and Bella glaring at her,
"You look amazing Jane, I'm very happy for you and Paul. You both deserve to be happy." Edward says lightly making the girl smile and say a simple thank you.
"No nickname? Are we finally friends?" Edward asks with a big beaming smile that made Jane scoff and look repulsed.
"It was a one time thing Ken doll don't make it a big deal." Jane spat making him laugh and continue dancing with her until the song ended.
It was definitely a night for Jane to remember.

"HOLY SHIT!" Jane exclaims as they finally reached the honeymoon location it was private beach with a mansion built on it. Apparently Carlisle owned many islands this one was Isle Esme.
Alice wanted Jane to keep it secret since Bella would also have her honey moon there. Jane was glad that it was privately owned since she now didn't need to cover up at the beach.
She could be comfortable in her own skin.
"Jesus this place is like cricket mansion." Paul says as they slowly walk up to the house with him carrying all the luggage.
"It's great.... Peaceful. No one will bother us here." Jane smiles knowing they'd be left alone. Alice did warn of housekeeping coming every morning at 6am but Jane would probably still be asleep.
"WAIT!" Paul yells as Jane goes to walk inside but he swoops her legs and carries her around bridal style.
